A standard basket strainer that works well. The shape of the plug (a straight line) doesn’t slot in as well as a circular model, but it’s a minor inconvenience that only takes a few extra seconds to use.

Two part kitchen strainer came well packaged and no damage was detected. The strainer sets in a base that needs installation. Pictures below show the items as shown upon unpacking. The strainer sets firmly in a standard drain. Plumber's tape will be needed to securely attach the drain to the pipe opening. The strainer is set to prevent medium sized bits from moving into the plumbing systems.

This is a very high quality product that is not made of that cheap tin like material that you get with most of these type products. The strainer is made of good of very good quality stainless steel which should last for many years. If you are in need of a good basket and strainer then this is the one so get on the internet and order one or slip on down to the Home Depot and get one to go.

A well manufactured drain you would use in your kitchen sink. I have mine installed in a basement bar that was needing an update. The drain comes with imbedded gaskets and a good looking drain basket that serves as both a filter that catches food scraps and a drain stopper when you like to file the sink with water. The basket and drain is chromed where visible.

I picked this unit up to replace an older one. It is a decent unit but I was a bit disappointed. The strainer is thin and light duty. It does get the job done. I am simply comparing it to the old one I took out. It is stainless and looks good enough. The installation is simple. The technology for this type of product has not changed over the years. If you can take the old one out, its simple to put this one in.

[Rewarded Review] Quality Drop-In Sink Drain with Strainer

I have finally gotten around to remodeling the utility room laundry counter top and sink. We contracted with a granite company to replace the existing mica counter top and plastic utility sink with a new granite counter and stainless steel sink next month. The new sink will have a new goose neck with pull down spray faucet. I got the Luxier drop in drain to use with the sink and new plastic pipes to connect it all up. The drain is the standard 3-1/2 inch size for the new sink and has 1-1/2 connection for the new plastic tailpipe. The drain is a brushed stainless Steel color that match great with the sink. The strainer will be to have to catch larger particles when using the sink. The drain has a quality look to it and should last a long time.

I picked this strainer out because we are in need of a new basket strainer, and i picked out the Brush Stainless Steel. Came packaged very well. We have owned this basket strainer for (1) Day.

[Rewarded Review] The LUXIER Drop-In Basket Strainer works perfectly in my existing Drain.

The drop-in sink basket strainer I received is well made, and came with all the needed gaskets and seals to complete the drain installation. My initial expectation was that it would only include the drop-in strainer basket and we could replace our existing one that keeps sliding into the stopper mode...but instead it included the basket and sink drain as well. The new basket we received has a post on the bottom that allows it to either sit flush with the drain to hold water in the sink or be propped up to allow water to flow freely down the drain. Before installing the new sink drain I put the basket in the provided drain to verify that it would work properly. My finding was that it would "lock" into the flush stopper mode allowing the sink to fill up as expected. Unfortunately, when I tried to "lock" the basket into the "propped up" mode to allow water to flow on down the drain, it would not stay in that mode very long while the water was running and would drop back into the stopper mode. When I tested the new strainer basket in my existing drain it worked perfectly in both modes. It turns out that the new drain had a larger hole that allowed the drain basket to rotate based on the water flow and would stop the water from draining. As a result, I ended up not replacing the sink drain portion with the LUXIER drain, but did use the LUXIER basket strainer and am very satisfied with that.
