[Rewarded Review] So much easier …

After decades of frying turkeys in oil, I consider this an upgrade. Unit is easy to assemble and use, with almost no cleanup required after using it. Bird comes out very moist with a golden brown color. Is it the skin the same as deep fried? Nope, but it is crispy and retains the dry rub much better and the wings and legs don’t get over cooked. An upgrade.

Do you need a spectacle on Thanksgiving? This is perfect for that purpose! We fried a 13 lb turkey with no problems. Do your research and have the fire department on speed dial, but this product worked great and was easy cleanup.

Do a water test before using!

The pot has a crack in the side. I had to continually wipe the oil from dripping into the flame so I could get my turkey cooked!

By the way, it is "easy to operate", but.......

I had to select yes for "Is it compact?", because this fryer is 30 quart, and the Bayou Classic steamer stockpot, which also fries stuff, is 4 quarts larger than this, and that's a whole gallon bigger, which, if you are buying peanut oil, is expensive. Also, the items that come with this turkey fryer (packed inside the pot, i.e., compact) are useful and downright necessary. So this rig is pretty good sized and definitely heavy gauge, thick, with stout handles and a substantial bottom thickness. Beware big box pots with thin bottoms that a propane burner will do a number on, but cost less than this one. Not worth what you save for the thin stuff in the long run, which is probably 2 times use, and that's dangerous.

The only way this fryer could have been more perfect is if it came with the turkey perfectly-fried and warm. It was my first time frying a turkey and I would have laid money on the fact I was gonna die, but the kit made sure everything worked flawlessly and without an annual t-day maiming. I'm pretty sure I'll be using this for big birds and boils for years to come.

Looks well constructed and a bit heavier made than the cheap original that came with the burner . I havent used it yet but it should preform well when I do . Im awaiting warmer weather to use it .

silver coating boiling off

everything seems to be of sturdy quality except silver coating is boiling off. not sure if it poisonous so I have just been using it for canning

It does what I wanted

I didnt have enuff oil in it and had chicken legs sticking out so I put 10 potatoes in and raised the oil level. Very tasty plus great tators

Pretty Decent Pot

The various accessories really make this pot nice. I suspect that the pot is like any other I've owned. My previous pot leeched out oil after I left oil in it for several weeks. Don't do that!!

I have used a few times. Very happy with it. Great product. Easy to use.
