Doesn't say machine washable!

The washing instructions on the rug do not say anything about being machine washable. Another reviewer described it as more floor covering than rug, but I wouldn't have described it that way. I'm going to avoid machine washing as much as possible, but will add to my review as to how it came out. I wouldn't have bought it if I had seen the wsdhing instructions.

Lovey FLOOR COVERING

Let's first clarify that these washable rugs are not rugs. They are floor coverings. And, at 8x10 in size, it is not easily going into any washing machine, however, washability is not why I prefer it over a "RUG". I do not want any rug that harbors unsuspecting dirt, mold or bugs. I wanted something that would add color, provide some warmth under foot and be friendly to my new irobot vacuum. I purchased three 8x10 washable rugs, unconsciously, three different brands: Savavieh, nuLOOM and RealLife. (I previously owned a Ruggable.) This Savavieh is lovely. Very soft and well bound. Compared to a Ruggable it is heavier and thicker with a substantial rubber backing and doesn't not require any pad to hold it in place and so much easier to lay down. While this rug is very soft it is not plush. When other reviewers complain that it is a "thin" rug; it is thin compared to a traditional rug and there is nothing "high end" about this type of product. It has its place and is better than fine. This Savavieh arrived rolled. (nuLoom came folded. Jury is out on the folds from shipping in a box.) Also, this rug has a better binding that the nuLOOM. I have not received the RealLife one yet. The colors are soft. From the online photo, I expected a bit of a blush color. No. It is Ivory, gray and beige. I am very pleased. Hope this helps.

Washable rug for the win! I love wool rugs but the dogs won’t let me have nice things. This rug is beautiful and can be vacuumed easily. I’ve had for one week and the edges are still a little curled but they’ll relax eventually.
