Doesn't last.

The faux leather cracks and peels onboth chairs we bought from Overstock. We have had to repeately buy faux leather patches to cover the damage and it looks terrible needless to say. It is a shame since they are still pretty comfortble and wood frames are comfortable. They are gently used by just my husband and myself. There aren't any slipcovers for chairs this shape. I have real leather chairs (but, alas, less attractive metal frames) that are over 20 years old and they have very few issues compared to these after 3 years. After 5 years we are considering replacing them.

Nice budget friendly chair

Overall this chair met my expectations for its price. The color is a more light tan instead of the white shown online. It does not recline as far as I would like, but is pretty comfortable. It does sit low to the floor, which is perfect for my 5' frame, but my 6'2" husband finds it much too low and does not use it at all. I would recommend it if you are looking for a sleek, contemporary look and don't want to splurge on a high end chair. The main drawback for me is that I get hot and sweat if I sit in it for awhile. The faux "leather" doesn't breathe. It arrived quickly and in great condition. My husband put it together pretty easily.

Stay away

Upon assembling this product, we discovered that it has serious defects.

This chair arrived today and I was most anxious to get it assembled so I could sit in it tonight! It’s great! Nice lumbar support, semi-firm seating, and buttery soft leather. Several months after I received the chair I noticed that the Stain/finish of the cross brace on the base was cracking. Since it was out of the overstock warranty they advised that I contact the manufacturer. Unfortunately they required a serial number, but that is ONLY CONTAINED ON THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION SHEET. My instructions were long gone. I never have seen a serial number for a tangible item recorded ONLY ON PAPER. Well I’m only 70+ still time to learn. That said, It’s not too deep, and I hope to get some stain to cover it.

Not as comfy as it looks, but okay.

It's an okay chair. Not amazing. It looks more plush and comfy than it is, but it's a decent reading chair. Remember that it's fairly small (which is what I wanted) but that also means that really tall/wide people may not find it very comfortable. It's not a LazyBoy, but it's not designed to be. Quality seems okay after a few weeks of light use. Assembly instructions are pretty clear but, and trust me on this one, you really need two people to get the arms on. The arms are what holds both pieces together, so it's more than a little awkward to put it together by yourself. Overall it's a decent value and I would recommend it.

The product arrived well packed and undamaged. It helps to have an open space preferable carpeted to lay out all the pieces for assembly. It went together well; however we are experienced assemblers of furniture and other items. We used our own tools rather than the ones provided. The assembled product looks good, and functions well. It is also very comfortable. It is nice that the foot stool is a separate piece and is not "slaved" to the reclining action of the chair. It makes the use of the product more versatile. Overall, this would be a nice piece to mate with another one of the same to provide a great look and easy companionship with a friend or significant other. Especially nice for watching TV. The price is good value too!

I sat in this chair as soon as I got it put together. I bought two chairs, very glad I did. I bought the chairs because a friend has two similar chairs that cost him much more money. His chairs go back and forward without using a lever as the one's I purchase from you. Small idea! His chairs are also leather but most likely of better quality but that's not a big issue for me. The fact that I believe my chairs leather quality is good, and my overall chair quality is very good. I like my chairs and his chairs cost a great deal more. The color of my chairs are a soft tan and fit nicely in my home. I had my chairs put together by a handyman because I am not good at putting things together. My handyman stated that he had no problem putting the chairs together. I do not no what tools he used, I stayed out of his way. The recliners are sturdy, nice looking, and I believe I will get a great of enjoyment/pleasure out of them. I think I have said enough.

This recliner set is nicely made and looks beautiful in our living room. The top/front surfaces (i.e., those subject to wear) are indeed real leather. I believe the chair-back and lower surfaces of both pieces are a bonded leather, but this material is visually indistinguishable from the real leather unless you look really, really closely. Initial assembly involved a number of steps, but they were easy except for lining up the hinged attachment points of the chair back. I recommend having a second person to help with that step. The assembled chair swivels conveniently on its ring-mount base, and has 7 or 8 reclining positions (the farthest back is about 45 degrees - fine for napping). The ottoman stays put on carpeting, and doesn't slide away when you prop your feet on the edge facing the chair. The chair is generally very comfortable, but we find it needs more lower back support (a small cushion fixes that). This set is an excellent value price-wise, for the nice appearance and quality you get.

When this chair arrived I thought the quality looked quite nice however it had a terrible odor that never went away. Since it looked nice I went through the trouble of putting it together -- what a mistake! I have put together many, MANY things and this was one of the worst! The parts all came in a baggie (actually made me wonder if this was someone else's return) rather than on a card with descriptions. Some of the bolts were the same length but different thicknesses so that made it quite challenging to figure out what went where. Finally figured it all out and got the thing together. The chair was comfortable. Note, the ottoman is angled - photo doesn't really show that - so your feet and legs are not straight out from your body, they are angled down. And the chair does not tilt as far back as I expected. Having said all that, I still liked the chair. My dad came over when it was halfway put together and he even commented it was a good looking chair. Unfortunately that terrible odor never dissipated and I had to return it. What a disappointment!
