This rug had an 18” strip where the color suddenly and drastically changed. From one direction it looked darker and from the other direction it looked lighter than the rest of the rug. This was not subtle - it was quite apparent to me and others who saw the rug. I tried brushing it one way or the other, but it didn’t change. Fortunately, I was able to return it to the store. I liked the rug the color and design of the rug otherwise.

Set the tone

The colors are exactly as you see in the pic. Perfectly blended with maroon, deep gold and some blacks in the paisley. Very soft and inviting to walk on. It changed the whole atmosphere of my bedroom....it became the most inviting room in my house. I paired it with a shabby chic, english garden bedspread and shams and the combo is perfect, (for me). The description says it's tan but it's more of a deep dirty golden, and I mean that in the best way as far as color goes. I love it. Also, it's Safaya so, to me, it's quality.

The Ivory rug is actually Camel Tan

The color in the picture on line is completely wrong. It is NOT ivory. It is much more yellow and darker, almost camel tan. (The picture I am uploading is much, much closer to the real colors). It does not work at all in my entry, which is where I really need a new rug. I have placed it in my den, where it fits in a little better, color-wise. It is a lot of trouble to send it back, or I would. The quality is good. It is quite soft underfoot. I have it laid over carpet, so the degree of cushioning isn’t an issue for me. If you’re using it on a hard floor, you might want a cushioning rug pad underneath, or at least a non-skid pad. If this were the color as shown on line, I would be quite happy with it.

Disappointed!!!

This is a beautiful rug, but not as plush as I expected it to be. I am extremely disappointed because one of the corner tips is frayed. And in addition, there is a ridge running along one side, where the rug was rolled too tightly for too long. Because I'm crafty, I was able to glue the frayed carpet fibers back to the corner tip, and it is now acceptable. However, I have not been able to get the rolled ridge to "fluff" back up. I've tried everything to fix it. Maybe as time passes it will work itself out. Of course, in my excitement, I've thrown away the packing materials, so the rug is mine. As I said, the rug is beautiful, but I just wanted anyone interested in a future purchase to be aware that there might be problems.
