Heavy-Duty faucet extender with a place to hang a hose
I love this product... It's very heavy-duty and holds an impressive amount of hose on the hanger! I recently set up a hose to reside at my deck (which is not attached to the house), for ease of watering the flowers and garden towers I have there. I attached a y-splitter at the output, one side for the hose, the other side to fill a watering can. Works great! #sweepstakes
Does the job well!
I bought 3 of these about 4 years ago. One 4 years, another one 6 months ago, and now installing the 3rd one. I drove a 2 foot rebar in the ground, installed a 2 ft piece of 1/2 inch PVC pipe on that, and then installed a 4 ft piece of 1 inch PVC on top of that. The unit slides down on the 1 inch PVC perfectly and has been stable for 4 years. Same install on my 6 month install. Problem I have now on the original is degraded hose bib parts that need to be replaced. Kind of specialized, so I assume I will have to talk to Hampton Bay for possible replacement parts.

Installed this down by my boat with a short hose that I use specifically for flushing my boats outboard engine. It is great that i don't have to drag the hose from the other side of the yard to do that any more. This unit doesn't leak and holds a lot more hose than i need it to do, in case my needs change in the future. Very happy with it.

I used a post hole digger in heavy clay soil and placed it to the arrow just above ground level and filled with concrete. A small bit of grunt work but not difficult to install. It has a small amount of wiggle so if you want it rock solid I would recommend clamping a pair of stakes or short rebar extended farther into the soil for added stability. It works great the faucet and connection are of a good quality and the hook up is easy. I do wish it was taller, I'm 5' 10" and I have to bend over to find the faucet, not a big deal but taller would be better, plus it would be easier to keep the hose off the ground.

By the time you drive it far enough in the ground to be stable , it’s too short. It could be made longer to prevent wound hose from dragging the ground.

This is my 2nd purchase of the Hampton Bay bib hose rack and I am as satisfied with this product as I was years ago at the time of my 1st purchase. The hose rack is solidly made, sturdy and connects easily with my hoses. My first purchase ( >5 years ago has remained in place without rust or warping) and is still in use. As I expand my garden space I will continue to rely on this product for my irrigation needs.
Hose Stand Leaks
I am so disappointed, it leaked. I had to return it. I will shop for another somewhere else that maybe is made slightly different so it won't leak.
crappy brass
The hose bib is constructed out of low grade brass. Packing nut is cracked and leaks.. if I can replace the nut it might be satisfactory.
Simple Rack, had to rebuild it.
This was exactly what I was looking for, simple, easy to setup and relatively unobtrusive. after hammering it into the ground, I hooked up the hose and it started to leak everywhere. Thought I had tightened it up enough but missed that it was leaking internally and filled up the post with water. Had to get new parts to fix the leaking bib. I'd recommend hooking up the water first before doing anything to make sure you have one that's not leaking.

Once in the store and ready to pick it up, it became clear this was going to be more complicated to install than anticipated. The fact that it has two spigots for a hose on either side further complicated my desire to simply have an efficient way to wrap the hose and keep it stored and ready for quick use.So I returned the item an purchased another model that stores a hose and has only one spigot for the hose. That model is precisely what I wanted and need and I'm very satisfied with it.

Who builds a house and neglects to put water faucets in the backyard? That was my dilemma. So, I purchased this guy, another hose that was the perfect length to reach from a faucet on the side of the house to the back deck, strapped this gem to the inside rails of the deck, hooked everything up and I now have a backyard faucet. So far, so good. And the second hose attached to this faucet, rolls up very nicely right there with the faucet.

This is well made and sturdy. The only thing is my last one did not have the faucet on it, I don't need the faucet but I understand that others my like it. Mine cemented in the ground right next to the faucet from the house, so I won't be using the one on the stand. I do not want to have to leave the water from the house on all the time. If you go on vacation and the hose breaks from the house faucet to the stand, you will have a problem.
Leaky
I installed this yesterday and literally had to go back to Home Depot three different times and spend 20 extra dollars on all the connections because I could not get it to stop leaking!!!

Although I recommend this hose rack, it is not as strong [material thickness] as the original Hampton racks I purchased 13 years ago. Also, I believe my original rack was powder coated and this one appears to be painted. Hopefully the paint will hold up to the extreme temperature variations.

Unless you put this in concrete you will have to pound this even further into the ground than the depth mark to make it stable (ground will get wet around this). I ended up using 4ft of 1.25 steel conduit driven into the ground and then this pounded around 8 inches into the ground. Very solid now.

Keep in mind that the bottom of the stand is a solid 1.5/2" square. You're going to have to attach it to something else, or be prepared to bury it after you build a hole.

I needed this because my outdoor faucet was installed underneath the deck & was hard to get to ... So, I used a metal washing-machine hose from the faucet to this hose stand, and connected my hose to the stand. Works great. The only thing is that the faucet on the stand seems to be a little touchy ... i.e., it feels like it may not hold up for a long time, so I try to open & close the faucet GENTLY. Overall, though, it does exactly what I needed it for, and you have to love that!
