Light turns off after only 30 seconds - useless.

This is a rather useless security light because it comes on when it detects movement, but only stays on for about 30 sec total. I get a lot of wildlife and the light has caused both hares and deer to freeze, then the light shuts off and they stay in the yard eating my plants, the berries on my mountain ash and apples on my tree. I got it to illuminate my yard when it is so dark in the winter, so that I know if it is safe to let my dog outside in the yard. We also have coyotes prowling around here. It would help if the lightr stayed on longer, like at least 5 min. as it is bright.

Doesn't last a year

Purchased 11.2.23. Installed 12.15.23. No longer works 10.22.24. Disappointed as it's drilled to the exterior of my home. So, now I have to create more holes in my siding to replace. Tried to contact manufacturer. No luck.

There is a real convenience in the solar capability but the previous one i bought one stopped working after only 6 mos.. I decided to try another one since I could use the same base and not have to redrill a different one onto the garage. Its inconsistent on where the motion is detected before the lights go on and the light isn't really bright but good enough. If it can last for a decent amount of time I'll be satified, otherwise I'll have to rethink a solution on where o need lighting.

Batteries last less than 100 recharges

Having purchased three units. This set up although works on demand and brightens the path, the batteries are extremely cheap and has little density for its size. All units failed in less than 6 months with one only lasting 30 days. The batteries are not replaceable being twin pair of 2.5”x3/4” 3.7V. Finding good replacement batteries is not an option. Do not buy this product.

manufacturer did not honor warrantee walmart did.

i bought light from walmart took out the extended, because i forgot there was 5 year manufacturer warrantee.

Sensor mode broken less than six months.

This product is absolutely not worth buying. I originally purchased 4. I had the first two replaced and ow have another one that is not working in sensor mode. Please do not spend your money on these they will break down. If you call Bell Howell they will replace within the year but you have to pay shipping?? I cost me $22 to ship its not worth it. Absolute garbage!

This is a great motion activated flood light. It’s very bright and with two adjustable sides it covers a large area when activated. We installed it on the side of our house between our house and our neighbors house where there is no other lights. I like that the this is LED light and should last way longer than a regular flood light we use on the other side of the house that has regular flood light bulbs. The design is very nice and I love the bright white color of the light as it blends in well with the siding.

Me and my boyfriend put this light together to replace our previous our of date one. It looks so nice! It is made up of a plastic like heavy material and installing it was a breeze. Overall it was only three wires and getting the mount exactly how we wanted it was the longest part. Then again I am a perfectionist. I would like to say this was no harder than mounting a tv. The brightness is perfect at night as you can see by my raw photos.

Love this flood light! It shines sooo brightly at night. It has two settings for brightness, 1k or 2k. It also has a setting for 30 seconds, 60 seconds and 120 seconds. That is for how long the light should stay on when the motion detector detects movement. You can also turn it on at anytime if you would rather by using the on and off switch. I like that you can move the lights in different directions and set it to your liking, I moved the lights so that it lights up and down my drive way and I can see perfectly.

Bionic Floodlight stopped working

I read all of the installation instructions. At first the light worked. Then, one of the flood panels stopped working. Soon after, the entire light stopped working. I was left with a small red light that stayed on. I've tried turning the Sensor Mode switch of and on. Also, this light has been in a sunny spot. This light is very disappointing. Run, don't just walk away from this light. I've had much better experience with Defiant lights.

Great product! Good value

Easy to install, good value and effective - even when in a location that has an average amount of sun light. I was thinking of hiring an electrician to install a wired floodlight but decided to try this product first - it meets my needs. My neighbours are now purchasing this product as well. Only potential issue - apparently not suited for very cold weather. I have not tested the product yet in that environment.

One of three stopped working

I chose these as I thought Bell Howell is a good name and would stand by their product (as opposed to other online non-brand name items). Sure enough - after buying three of them - one stopped working 3 months later. I reached out to Bell Howell about the issue and to tried to get some help. Not a word in response. So much for the Bell Howell name. Don't get me wrong - the other two works great - nice and bright. But factor in the chance that one (or more) may stop working.

Very intelligent design. Quite useful.

I still need to master using the remote -it’s possible mines dead. I Don’t want this on for motion all the time just when I need to feed horses and pick up poop. The front part of the barn has electricity/lights. This thing is wonderful - a life saver really. I’ve had it one night and it’s great. Not too bright for the horses but bright enough to stay safe from tripping hazards. A coworker bought two and gave me one. Super easy to install by myself and I love how I can direct the three lights two to two different feed areas and the third toward where they poop to quick pick.

EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY

I have purchased many security lights that promised ultra-sensitive response plus brilliant LED lighting; easy set up; and guaranteed weather proof. All have been disappointments. To minimize my angst I ordered two of the Bell & Howell dual spot light units. Living in a coastal desert of San Diego rain is not plentiful. When the spot lights with solar panel arrived we were having an unusual stretch of day after day of heavy rains, Santa Ana type winds, flash floods and downed trees. I placed my B & H lights on my work bench in the garage with underneath the dual fluorescent 4 foot hanging lamp then adjusted each solar panel directly under the lamp and left it on for 24 hours for four days. On the 5th day (still raining and strong winds) I put both units in the back yard and every time our dog went out the light responded and the flat area and the slope were illuminated perfectly.

Does exactly what it says!

Love the light. We have older home with no way to light our backyard at night. Taking a puppy outside to do his “business” in the dark was not fun. Now we trigger the floodlight and going potty in the dark is no big deal. It does light up a large part of the yard reliably. even charging fairly well on cloudy days. We use the garden stake so we can see but we are not blinding our neighbors at night. Buying another one to light up more of the yard. Couldn’t be happier.

Wonderful product/buying more!

I already purchased one of these bionic floodlights and they are fantastic! I love it because it even lights up brightly when cars go by. An added benefit is the added light we get when returning at night. My husband is in a wheelchair and I have a bad leg. Before I would struggle in the dark to get us both safely inside the house without stumbling, hitting a bump or even falling! With this light, our way is well lit up until we are safely inside. We have a huge backyard and last night I saw on my ADT live cam, someone with a flashlight. I went to the door let out my dog but the person had fled! Well if they come back, they will get blasted in the face with bionic light! I am putting two in the area I saw them and two on the house! I will be ready! Thank you Bell and Howell!

[Rewarded Review] Decent Solar Light

I tried the Bell and Howell Bionic Floodlight with motion sensor, solar panel and three adjustable light panels. I thought this light would be perfect for the front corner of my home. I have a flagpole near the corner so I thought if I placed the floodlight near the flag it would get plenty of sunlight to keep the bulbs bright all night and with three light panels I could light the flag and both sides of the house.

Works well

Bought this to light up our deer feeder when they visit at night. Works great and very bright.
