Great for the price

Very good for the money! My only complaints are that you have to scroll manually through the 800 different instrument sounds one at a time which takes too long, and the same for the metronome tempo, but overall a very good piano for the price. It has pretty decent sound quality

Could be great, but has its annoyances

Getting an 88-key keyboard with realistic weighted keys at this price point is great (especially when adding in the bonus seat, stand and sustain pedals). The keys & main board itself has a great feel to it - seems well constructed & clearly has an edge over other similarly priced keyboards with it’s confident build quality. However, it’s when you actually power the unit on and play some notes where the disappointment kicks in. The main piano tone (“001”) tries hard to emulate a decent-sounding live piano, but the tone is far too dark and needs more brightness. Unfortunately, many other tones suffer the same sound dynamics. And speaking of sound, the speakers on this thing aren’t great and give off a bit of distortion when striking the lower bass keys. I plugged my headphones in to see if maybe all these issues were just caused by some inferior built/in speakers, but no, you get the same sound issues even with a pair of good headphones connected, bypassing the built-in speakers. Also, both the built-in speakers and headphone mode give off horribly distracting amp noise. This is probably the biggest downfall of the keyboard as it’s so loud & distracting, I can’t imaging anyone actually using this keyboard for anything other than practice as you wouldn’t want others to hear the poor sound quality. Additionally, the blue function panel LEDs are WAY too bright and glare at you in a dimmer setting. The hundreds of sounds/tones are a nice feature, but most are totally silly and give off more of a 90’s Radio Shack keyboard feel than anything else. Also, the keyboard automatically rests to tone “001” every time it’s powered back on. If you like tone #503, you’ll have to manually adjust back to that tone every time you turn it on using the simple minus & plus buttons. Once again, this is a good buy for simple practice at a low volume or a beginner looking for more than a basic $50 keyboard (the 88 keys are nice), but be prepared for not-so-great sound quality and other unfortunate annoyances.

Awesome!!@

I did my due diligence in purchashing a keyboard as a beginner. Made mistakes until I found BCP keyboard. First, it shipped same day i bought it from Minnesota. Its' made in USA thank God bc china ppl are greedy n kept raising their price once they saw I added it to my cart. This keyboard came very well packed. it weighed 66 lbs. It came with a U stand, (which i already purchased z stand) bc reviews states u stand tilts 2", seat, (seat is same height as my seat on my walker) don't understand why reviews say is too short bc its not! keyboard cover thats awesome fit and 3 pedals. I like that the control box is on left side of piano instead all over keys. It sounds awesome and they have a wonderful support system. I can't stop practicing. So glad I bought this and for a very reasonable price $275 incl. tax!! Thanx BCP

Pretty good

I got this piano to practice at home and because I'm the church pianist. First of all is an absolutely gorgeous instrument. It's extremely heavy but luckily the stand that comes with it is solid iron and holds the heavy piano very well. It was easy to put together. Great instructions. I absolutely love the sound of the piano poetion on thisunit. The keys are moderately weighted. This makes it extremely similar to a standard piano. Especially since there are 88 keys. I adore the fact that I can turn the sound up and down. This makes it great in case I want to play very quietly I can just adjust the sound. I love how the speakers literally emit so well the sound. It has an astounding triple foot pedal which allows you to damper, soften, and reverb. Truly nice sound. Overall, it's excellent for playing in a band or a church, in my view. But ONLY the piano aound. Why? The rest of the Rhythm and Timbre accompaniment on this is truly useless. This particular piano has no way to type in the corresponding number to the background sound that you want to make. So consequently, you have to manually one by one, scroll through eight hundred sounds, in order to hopefully find the one that you want. Obviously this renders the accompaniment portion useless. It just has a minus and a plus sign to advance to the next accompaniment one by one. It would literally take I'm guessing 8 hours to manually scroll through all 800 accompaniments. This was extremely disappointing. But not disappointing enough for me to return it. It comes with an excellent piano seat and a wonderful music stand to hold your sheet music. In my view they really need to work on making it easier for a person to get to the accompaniment sound that they want. Most digital pianos allow you to physically type in the corresponding number of the Rhythm or Timbre accompaniment you want. But not this unit. It's a first that I've ever seen that. So the only sound that I can make with it is a piano sound, because I don't have time to manually one by one scroll through all 800 sounds. Even so I still recommend this piano, it is very nice.
