Damaged wood

This item looks nice, assembly was easy. However, the bench section was heavily damaged with chipped edges and scratches. It was disappointing to spend the extra money for better quality to find these damages.

surprised with caution

When ordered we thought at this price furniture delivered together? When we got confirmation of delivery in 2 boxes 1st thought was "Oh bot" box furniture. When received yes, it did come in many pieces, but this is solid 3/4"-1" wood. Went together no issue very heavy build it near where its going. Great piece of furniture.

Multiple parts not finsihed by manufacturer and broken upon arrival

Item appears to be beautiful but one key part is cracked and doesn’t fit into the lip of the rest of the piece. In addition other parts that should have the old drilled still have wood in them and on design never finished. Finally parts E are too long for A, B C For how expensive this was I’m shocked how badly of a state the pieces arrived in

Beautiful Hall Tree, some issues with parts

The parts arrived in two separate boxes and the pieces were all intact, no broken parts. Unfortunately there was an error with one of the parts of the bench where two of the same side were included, and there were holes in the front on one side and holes in the back on the other side, which meant you could not attach it to the backboard. The direction manual gives instructions on how to obtain extra parts, and with a couple of emails I received the correct parts relatively quickly. The end result was worth the initial irritation of trying to troubleshoot why the holes were not correct and discovering the bench parts were incorrect because it seems sturdy and well made.

What are the odds?

This would be a lovely product but the QC on parts makes it a purchase risk. Having put together and disassembled Part A twice, I can say that it is a lovely, well-built and easy to assemble piece. Part B (the bench) did not arrive timely the first time, so we ended up with 2 when the replacement arrived. The sides for the bench should have been such that the machine drilled holes faced the back (to attach to Part A). Unfortunately, they packaged 2 of the same side so when it was put together the holes on one side faced the back and the holes on one side faced the front. We checked the extra Part B box we happened to have and it was packaged with the same problem. I would have sent it back for replacement but what are the odds of receiving 2 boxes with mispackaged parts? I just didn't have the confidence in the product to try again. But OVERSTOCK customer service was awesome through the ordeal.

This hall tree is perfect in my house 70" high and has enough room for my cowboy hats. I would recommend this piece to anyone. Perfect 🥰
