Comfort and Style

A great buy for the money especially for those who sit for long periods of time. There is plenty of leg space and the ability to lean back between rest periods offers added relaxation. It is also a beautiful piece of furniture that adds grace to your office.

Beautiful and Comfortable

I am honestly surprised by the quality of this chair for the price point. It looks beautiful, especially the wood accents. More importantly, it is incredibly comfortable. Well worth the money!

[Rewarded Review] ABSOLUTE RIP OFF!!!!! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR FROM OFFICE DEPOT OR ANYWHERE ELSE!! IT IS DISCONTINUED BY THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY HAVE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS. I bought this chair on January 18, 2022 and yesterday I was all of a sudden sitting sideways in my chair as the seat plate gave away. As you can see in the picture this chair has been VERY well taken care of!! Office Depot says this is rated for 350 lbs., I am 6'4" and have NEVER weighed over 275 and am currently about 265! I just got off the phone with Customer Service at True Innovations and they stated that the chair was discontinued and they had no replacement parts and there was NOTHING they were gonna do about it! SO THAT IS $425 FOR TWO AND 1/2 YEARS OF USE. I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT I EXPECTED A MUCH GREATER RETURN ON INVEST WHEN I MADE THIS PURCHASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The chair feels sturdy and solid. I really like the adjustable lumbar support. It's a rocking chair if you want (I keep it in rocking mode) or a non-rocker when you need it. It's one of the most comfortable office chairs I've ever had. It's wood and leather which imparts a certain warmth to my body and therefore my disposition. I highly recommend this chair. If you're not the do-it-yourself type, you may want to spring for the extra cash to have it put together professionally. It's a bit difficult to assemble yourself.

The chair was difficult to assemble. It arrived with one of the plastic parts on the seat broken. Repaired that with Gorilla Glue. The parts machining is horrible. Nothing lines up easily. The seat and back were a real struggle to connect, and the arms were difficult to install. One is still loose after multiple attempts at tightening it. The lumbar support is too low. Saying it has a headrest is totally inaccurate because the seatback comes to my shoulders and I am just 5'7". Nothing to rest the head there (photo shows my shoulder to back height). The back tilt adjustment does not work at all. It isn't exceptionally comfortable to sit in. Giving it a try for the rest of this week. It may be going back if it is not too big a hassle. It's nice looking but the quality and comfort are just not great for the $300 dollars paid. There is nothing that identifies this chair as a genuine Serta product. I also don't believe this is a real Serta Chair. I believe it is likely a cheap knockoff. This was my first purchase from Wayfair and I am not happy at all. It may be the last!

This is a very nice chair. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. 1. The assembly was actually harder than I thought. 2. The seat is a bit too deep for me and the lumbar support doesn’t hit at my lumbar. So, it’s not the perfect chair for me BUT it is comfortable enough to sit in all day for work and I can always add a small pillow for support. However, for the price, having to make that adjustment knocks it down a star in my book. The assembly was frustrating for a couple of reasons. I did it by myself and it was extremely difficult trying to connect the back piece to the seat cushion. It was hard to get the holes to line up while trying to get the screws in. I swore a lot. However, if you have a helper, this process will be done in probably less than 15 minutes. It took me 30-45minutes working alone. Also, the chair is definitely plus size friendly and my wide hips fit perfectly fine (my hips are 58inches, for reference). There is no pinching or pressure whatsoever. I am 5’5” and there is room to grow in this chair. I appear to be on the smaller end of what this chair can accommodate. My feet (when I am sitting fully flush against the back of the chair) just barely rest on the ground when the chair is at its lowest setting. Also, my head just reaches the top. I imagine someone 6’ or above would fit comfortably in this chair. It raises up if you need more leg room- adjusting is easy.

I'm 5'6" so that's probably part of why this chair didn't work for me. I gave it a try because high back regular chairs tend to not have an actually full/high back and are more mid-back or shoulder. Quality seems good, ease of assembly was great. What I can't get over is that sitting in the chair it feels like the seat has a tilt and my butt is lower than my knees. Since you can't adjust it to tilt forward at all it's odd feeling. When the chair is at the lowest it will go the front of my foot hits the floor but my heels don't. Lumbar support is where I'd want it, but likely low for someone taller than me. I had a tailbone injury so I'm looking for a new desk chair to ease that issue... this is not the chair for that. If I try to sit straight up in the chair my back is several inches in front of the chair back. And when I sit up straight it feels like my hip angle is closed, like I'm leaning forward on my thighs a bit because my knees are above where my but is sitting. There is extra thigh support but not much around the tailbone/bum area. Chestnut is a lovely dark brown color.

This is a good chair that could easily have been a great chair. The hardware used to attach the arms to the seat and back are primitive and subpar by today's standards. For a $250 chair, three out of four of the fasteners stripped out during assembly. It was only with my 30+ years in construction that I was able to improvise and make it work, otherwise I would have had to repack and return the product. The arms had some white material scarring the wood finish and had to be repaired using furniture repair markers. Also the grommets covering those 4 attachment points were oversized and had to be modified as well. For a $250 chair. Knowing this ahead of time, I would have purchased something else. I advise potential customers to do the same. You deserve better for your money.
