Very small fire box. Does not accept what you would consider "standard" size firewood. Expect to have to cut normal firewood in half to get it to fit. Also, calling this "low smoke" is a stretch. There was just as much, if not more, smoke compared to just an open fire pit. Returned it after 2 uses.

We are very happy with our Tiki Fire Pit so far. Easy to set up, and we had a gorgeous, warm, low-smoke fire on the first night we bought it. It’s sturdy and really does cut down on the pesky smoke that used to chase us away from our old fire pit. Also really appreciate the good cover that comes with it to protect from rain and weather exposure!

Great fire pit for our small outdoor patio area. We have had it for about a month and had a handful of fires. We have used both pellets and firewood, and both work well. Not smoke free, but definitely less smoke overall than a traditional fire pit. We like the appearance of this pit more than the plain stainless steel drums. We also appreciate the cover being included. We have received a lot of compliments.

What to do on a cool evening? TIKI’

Really good looking, easy to use. High quality materials and build. The pit works beautifully. My only complaint is that I was originally sent 2 griddle/grills instead of one of those and the lid. I emailed and they rapidly sent out the lif. However, when I went to use the pit - they failed to send out the fire poker that was supposed to be included with the screen and heat deflector. Tiki needs to address their packing/order fulfillment areas. My mom gave me an old fireplace poker and I’ve been using that just fine.

I purchased a fire pit for my son-in-law for Christmas. It arrived 3 days after ordering. He opened it & found it was damaged. (FedEx). He emailed Tiki & pictures of damage. They sent him another one immediately! I’m so impressed! You don’t get customer service like that anymore. We are enjoying the fire pit. I do recommend this company.

Very Little Heat but Definitely 100% Smokeless

Returning 25 in smokeless patio fire pit. Amazed that it truly is smokeless and you can’t even smell the smoke. Absolutely excellent from that standpoint; however, when it comes to heat, not good at all, even with a ton of wood and perfect hot coals. Fine for 50+ degree weather but otherwise, you have to be inches from it to stay warm. You can compare the heat to one of those propane table heaters. Get your hands warm but you’re freezing everywhere else. Been sitting here with a blanket on my lap and freezing cold feet once it hit probably 45 degrees out. Going to go back to the chiminea which definitely has smoke but is somewhat redirected and gives a lot of good heat. If you regularly have fires and live where the climate gets below 45 (which is very mild cold), I wouldn’t recommend.

Much Better than expected

I used to have a cheap fire pit from a big box store. It was difficult to start (and maintain) a fire and the smoke went everywhere. My children bought me a Tiki fire pit. I cannot overstate how wonderful it has been. It is easy to start the fire, which roars for hours and completely burns the wood. What little smoke there is goes straight up and does not bother the people sitting around the fire pit. I enjoy the fellowship with my guests around a hearty fire, rather than frequently getting up to restart a dying flame, or to move to get out of the way of the smoke. The Tiki fire pit is worth the extra money for the excellent quality.

Pretty but either damaged or quality control

Just received our patio smokeless fire pit and had some issues pulling the tray out as it appeared jammed under the top lip. The surround is bowed and the ring around the basin is permanently smashed to one side and off center. Separately after reading Tiki’s replies to issues it appears the cone is only for use with the pellet bags. At ~$9 a bag. This fire pit burns at a rate greater than minimum wage… if the fire pit is in fact not designed to be used with logs I would like a refund. Purchased from your Amazon store.

Fire Pit

Very pleased with our purchase for a newly poured patio. Compared to another very popular brand and went with Tiki for several reasons, appearance, ease of use, legs vs flat surface directly on patio as well as nice selection of supplies and accessories all at a much lower cost. Good quality product!

Loved it until…

Got my fire pit last year and have loved it until I used the pellets for the first time a week ago. As I do when using logs, when the flames died down I covered the fire pit with my steel snuff lid. The next day, the paint around the edge of the fire pit had come off. My guess is that the pellets remained very hot even after the flames died down and essentially melted the paint off. This never happened after using logs the past 2 summers. Tiki really needs to warn against this. So much for a good looking fire pit.

Warping already

Smokeless when using pellets. Pretty smoky when using logs. Used this fire pot for 3 years now, but only about 4-5 fires per year. The last fire caused a weld to pop and caused the base pan to warp. I'm sure it will only get worse with the next fire until it's unusable. I was hoping for better quality.

Great fire pit

This is a great fire pit. It is not only beautiful and elegant, but also very easy to use. I think it is indeed “smokeless”. No white smoke bothering your eyes at all! We used it once so far, on our concrete patio and it was so much fun. Kids loved roasting s’mores and we enjoyed sausages. Processed wood pieces that came complimentary with the firepit were easy to use. We’d recommend this product 100% to anyone who searches for a good looking and well functioning fire pit.

I bought this fire pit for my son and his wife while i was visiting. My husband and I and my son and his wife had a chance to check it out before we left. I thought the fire pit has a very beautiful look to it and was just the right size for their patio. It definitely provides great heat and is a nice part of the “romantic” set up that goes quite nicely with their hot tub. They have enjoyed it quite a few times since we left. Nice price too

No regrets on this purchase!!

This made my patio 1000X better! It's perfect because it's not big and bulky, but it's still the perfect size to give off PLENTY of warmth. It's so easy to use, and it's my favorite fire pit I've ever had to date. There's no sitting forever trying to get the fire to stay burning, no smelly back smoke, it's just quick, easy, and amazing! Also, don't be fooled by its convenient size, it's clear there was no quality spared in that part of the development, because when we lit the fire pit it truly was giving off flames just like the picture in the advertisement!

Love this fire pit so much! We have had countless hours of fun times on our back patio with warm fires this past winter and are already enjoying it this spring. We love that it so easy to move and the wonderful cover that came with it. We just purchased the table top and previously bought the screen top. Everything is so solid and well made!

Unsafe for small areas, AKA need an open field!

Recently bought a new home and have been putting together the medium to large size patio space buying some great pieces from Crate and Barrell (sofa and two chairs) and putting them in a U-Layout with the firepit in the center. Bought the Retreat Fire Pit due to the square shape and it being the smallest size to see how it works (first Tiki fire pit but we've used their torches for years, which is why I felt comfortable going with their fire pit vs Solo) and overall was very happy with the products design. Solid metal, looks clean, professionally made, love the contrast of the black and bronze features, and while a tad bit smaller than I expected (also bought the flat top so we could use as a coffee table when not using as a fire pit) but was at this stage very happy with the products design, look, and feel thinking we got our monies worth. Also bought with it the cage top, flat top, fire poker, and one box each of their Fire Bags and Fire Starter bags (to test and see if wed prefer these vs real wood logs). Used the Tiki Fire Bag that came with the pit (also did a review on that so won't go into here) and once I lit the bag it only took a few minutes before a roaring, and I do mean ROARING fire was going. The height of the flames coming out of their SMALLEST FIRE PIT were so high I had to move the pit away from the patio furniture and moved the vented oversized patio umbrella from being directly over it out of real fear the flames coming off it aided by very small wind breezes would set something on fire. Equally we have two Belgian Malinois dogs, they have long tails that move when they walk, and I had to put them inside out of fear theyd accidentally burn themselves or their tails when walking past the fire pit. Sitting around this and enjoying heat from a gentle burning fire while having some bourbon or a beer, or chatting with family/friends is simply not an option. Even without any wind the height of the flames that come out of this are so unsafe you really risk a fire hazard. I thought the flames would die down some after 10 or so minutes, but they roared for a solid half hour before finally calming and then completely died out within minutes. So that people dont say well if the bag doesnt work use wood logs, we did, I literally went to a local firewood seller in my neighborhood (Buy Local, support Small Businesses!) and same thing, unsafe flame heights. We returned everything for a full refund, customer service was great in this regard and processed my request quickly, because while we love the design the actual use prevented us from enjoying our patio with a fire pit due to the fire hazard this presents.

Our family is in love with the patio pit! It's the one thing that will pull our kids away from their gaming systems. ;-) All we have to say is "Who wants s'mores?" and we're guaranteed family time in the backyard. And, selfishly for me (Mom), the fire pit has turned a glass of wine on the patio into a year-round activity.

[Rewarded Review] Incredible Fire Pit

We’ve had the patio pit for about a month now and have gotten to use this multiple times. The wife and I love how easy it is to start using one of the fire starters. It gives off plenty of heat and has kept us warm on the cold January, Wisconsin days that we’ve used it. It’s strong and sturdy but also easy to move when putting away or taking out before or after use. Looking forward to using it more this summer!

FIRE PIT IS WARPING BAD QUALITY STEEL

Really concerned about the amount of warping occurring. I ve used the pit about 6 times now all fire with the tiki brand pellets and only one bag a night. The bottom has warped into a wavy ocean flexing about 1.5 up and down it has warped so much that corner up top are pulling away from outer walls. Is this covered under warranty ?? In the pictures I attached you can see the insane amount of warp why did this happen from such an expensive pit you expect better metal and quality from a $300 pit. Solo stoves never warp better quality steel.
