[Rewarded Review] Dispenses more food than you think

Working on getting a replacement for this product. Not sure if this is a common issue but my feeder dispenses a different amount every time. The app says 2 portions should equal about 20 grams of food however my feeder dispenses about 30-38 grams for a 2 portion amount.

I purchased this so my cat would be fed while on vacation. I tried it the evening before to make sure it was working as expected. It doesn't hook to the wifi and never has dispensed food. I troubleshooted, called PETLIBRO, tried to work with BBY, but no one was able to help. By the time i had exhausted all options for fixing it, i was outside the return window. Maybe my unit was bad, but this was not a great experience.

Worked fine for the first 10 seconds then did a firmware update. Failed the update and bricked itself. You can not “reset” it as the manual suggest. It’s just useles after this. According to forums and reddit this is a known issue for all models and there is no fix. Just replace and hope for the best mentality. Save yourself the return, ignore the positive reviews and find a different brand.

What a time saver. And if you travel, this is definitely the way to go. If the power goes out will continue to feed on the schedule you have programmed with the backup batteries installed.

This cat feeder is awesome!! I love the quality of the camera and how it has night vision. The two way audio is also amazing especially when I’m out of the house. The WiFi connection also went pretty well with me. The detachable trays made it super easy for me to clean after my cats finish their meals.

i really like the app control for the feeder as well as being able to spy on my baby and making sure shes not underfed or overfed, the camera quality is pretty good cant wait to capture memories of my cat with it. i wish i didnt have to have two apps though for this feeder you need petlibro lite and if you have the app monitoring dockstream you need the regular petlibro app that’s really the most annoying thing.
