Works well

The diverter fills my barrel as long as we are getting a good heavy rain. My down spouts are 3X3 which is smaller than most (usually 3X4) so I may be getting better results than some of the other reviews show. It does not catch all the rain water. When the barrel is full it does divert it back to the down spout.

Money down the drain

This diverter catches and diverts very little water, and is not worth the installation or money... you could say it was money down the drain. Ended up switching out for a regular downspout extension instead.

installed this as per instructions and it catches the rain water, fills our rain barrels quickly and when the barrel is full it allows the excess rain water to drain out the down spout. high recommended

Poor design

Water comes down the gutter on the sides. This design tries to catch the rain from the middle of the gutter. Very poor design.

Fits 2X3 only

Does not work well if you have a 3x3 downspout. It fits a 2x3. And hose too small for rain barrel that I have I had to make adjustments.I use it as a diverter only when my barrel is full. I purchased another type of spout to catch the water.

We bought it to join two rain barrels together. It worked to hook them up. It hasn't rained yet so we don't know for sure if it will work but it looks like it will.
