Flexibility, adjustibility, reliability

This is a quality keyboard and mouse platform with plenty of adjustability both vertically and horizontally. As long as you have a deep enough desktop, the entire platform tucks nicely under the desk when not in use with nothing sticking out. The gel wrist rests for both the keyboard and the mouse are a plus. Note that you can also get the 3m command velcro strips for sticking these to the platforms if you ever wanted to remove and reattach them. I ended up centering the platform per the desk opening, but technically you could offset the center trolley a bit to the left to compensate for a right-handed mouse setup for example. However, the platform gives you an adjustable (red) knob that lets you easily offset relative to the trolley so even this trolley install offset is not necessary. I like that it also has up to a 10" upswing if you want to stand at the desk. A very well thought out accessory that should provide years of reliable service.

3M™ Sit/Stand Keyboard Tray,

I have purchased several desk trays (at least 3) to lift and tilt my laptop originally and wound up returning them all. I have now switched to a desktop again and purchased this sit/stand keyboard tray and won't be returning this one as it solves all of my issues. It adjusts easily and is very well made. Easy to install and is good quality material. I am very happy with this purchase finally!!!

Works well but room to improve for the price

Works well as designed. The standing position is good for person upto 6ft. Despite its super heavy weight, it is a little shaky when your hands lean on the keyboard area (because the base attached to the desk is too narrow, likely), making you feel it is going to tilt out of balance. The mouse station is loose so it tilt easily, and it is not easy to switch from left hand to right hand, it should come with two of it.

Heavy

My desk is 3/4” thick and the screws slid out with the weight. Luckily, I was right there still doing the install so I was able to guide it to the floor without causing damage. Not sure it’s weight, but with buying on-line, it would be beneficial to know the desk thickness requirements for optimal installation and usage of any under desk tray.

Everything is good, was able to fit my full size keyboard and my mouse on it. The rails come greased up so be sure to watch yourself when installing so the rails do not lose all the grease and begin having problems sliding (I watched mine and no problems). There is a paper installation template one can use to install it onto their desk, just be sure to have some tape so you can temporarily tape it to the underside of the desk otherwise you'll be fighting it if you're doing it yourself. Quality-wise it's definitely worth at-least 150 USD but because it is very wide and able to accommodate my keyboard and comes with a nice keyboard pad, I'd say it's worth the price -- I have been looking for years and finally glad I was able to find one worth the price and does everything I wanted it to do for me without breaking the bank.

awkward handle location

The tray itself is pretty sturdy, tilts and raises up for stand up position.

The Best Customer Service!

I bought this several years ago, and have attached it to a few different desks over the years. Somewhere in the process of my recent desk move, I had lost one of the two plastic glides needed for the keyboard-tray arm to properly glide within the metal channel attached to the desk. I went to 3M's website in order to purchase the missing part, but could find no parts for sale. I emailed 3M and asked if it were possible to purchase the part, and instead they said they'd mail me the missing part, no charge. To top it off, they actually sent 2 new glides, which arrived today. Thank You, 3M, for such above-and-beyond service!

I like it enough to have purchased another for my home office. You already know from a previous review or two that this is a fairly heavy unit and that's ok...very stable. Bilateral hernia surgeries are a bit expensive, so you might take seriously the recommendation to get someone to help you in putting it on your desk. Or do what I do....and have someone else do it for you. Also, be aware that if and when you put two widescreen monitors on this puppy, it will not be as easy to raise as it appears in the video. It does the job. A word of caution about any standing desk units, be sure that your monitor and accessory cables are long enough before raising them. Just sayin'.

Does what it advertises

It takes a small amount of drilling to mount to your desk, but the template makes it easy. Of course, you have to physically mount the thing, but that is to be expected. In my case, I had to modify my desk slightly to fit the unit, but it installed quickly and has been functioning exactly as I needed. Pretty stable, although I had a hard time getting the mouse pad surface to lock in place. Now it is locked where I need it. I've not yet used it standing up, but plan on that shortly.

Hate sitting at my desk all day, so this standing desk has been a dream. Really easy to assemble with clearly written instructions. Its sturdy, but that makes it a bit heavy too. Tip to have someone help assemble if 50 lbs is too heavy for you to lift. I got the white color and it looks extremely clean on my desk. Fits my laptop, laptop stand and monitor with plenty of room left for notebooks, phones, etc. Adjusting the table is so simple and you have the ability to lock it at the height thats perfect for you. With previous standing desks I used, I could only lock it in at their pre-set heights which wasnt ideal for me. This airlift standing desk lets me adjust to it to any height I want, so I can view my computer screens at my exact eye-level which is great for my neck and posture. Worth every penny!

I work at a resorts call center and am in close quarters with coworkers all day long. This is a godsend for saving my back as I get aches and pains sitting all day long in the office. Great value for the money as it is much cheaper than the other items I was looking at. Ive only had it a couple weeks so dont have a good gauge on the durability, but it seems sturdy and high quality. Im also really happy with how easy it moves up and down.

Some of the reviews I read for this product were terrible and I almost did not buy it. I also saved the box because I was sure I would need to return it. But let me tell you what I found out. This is a very nice, well-built and well-engineered product. The directions are very bad and you might need some basic mechanical skills to install it properly. Opening the box I noticed the sticker that tells the user how to open it and how high it is elevated had come detached and was stuck to the packaging material. I was very disappointed and thought perhaps I should send it back. But then I noticed the very heavy duty 14 or 12 gage wrinkle finish C-chanal adjustable pedestal arm. It is massive and is impressively heavy. Then I removed the glossy finish track and noticed how smooth and quiet the two pieces worked together. Then I opened the box that contained the keyboard rest. It is large (the none expandable one, Standard) and more than big enough for a full-size keyboard with ten key and a mouse pad on the side. All the parts were impressive including the mounting screws, so I decided to install it. I installed it under a desk drawer. So I needed to make my own mounting platform. I went to the local steel supply warehouse and bought a 24-foot long piece of 1" X 2" rectangular 14-gage tubing. I cut two pieces 26 inches long, drilled holes were I needed them cleaned off the dirt and grease ground off the sharp edges and painted them. I installed the parts I made and then installed the keyboard tray track to them. It took some time but it was worth it. It is rock solid. Many of you will not have this problem but I wanted to keep the drawer. Next just let me say again, it is big. Look!!! It works well but here is a trick! To get it to go up just lift up on the front edge and pull up! Easy! But, to get it to go down, lift up on the front end and push down. If that was in the directions I did not see it. If you do this it will work well I promise. To all the naysayers! This is not junk!! But it might be more than you can handle of all you can do is hang a picture, don't try it. For most people this will be easy.

Prompt service

I recently purchased a keyboard tray on line and was very pleased with the product but even more impressed with the service. I had ordered the same product from a competitor and they delivered it 2 weeks later and sent it the wrong address. Staples delivered before the estimated date with no issues!

3M Sit/Stand

The keyboard tray is easy to operate. I am only 5'1" and its maximum height is good for me. I don't know how it would be if I was tall. I also purchased a swivel arm for the monitor so that it can be higher or lower as well. It all works as expected and does give me the option of standing or sitting, which is great. It has been a challenge to utilize the items on my desk as now they are a distance away since the keyboard sits in front of the desk rather than on the desk. I would still choose this product since it has helped my neck and back problems so that I am not sitting all day.

Nicely built and useful

This keyboard tray took a couple hours to install. I had to remove a drawer on my desk first, so that added to the time. Then I had to drill pilot holes and then finally mount the tray to the underside of my desk where my drawer had previously been. The mounting plate is metal with pre-drilled holes and all of the parts needed were provided. All of the plastic pieces are thick and seem durable. The tray itself is adjustable once you have it mounted so it is pretty fool-proof. You can move it from side to side and lower towards your legs or raise it all the way up to above your work-surface in a standing position. This is a whole lot cheaper than a sit/stand adjustable desk. You can stand while you are doing tasks that require typing and mousing only, such as replying to emails. Then you can press it back down under your desk to sit for signing documents on your desktop. I am 5' 1" and it raises high enough for me to stand and type or sit and type ergonomically with chair lowered so my feet touch the floor. If you are really tall you might need to find out if it will raise high enough for you before you purchase it, ---and you may need to raise your desk to make room for your legs.

Awesome purchase no regrets

I sit in a cubicle that is an odd L shape so finding a keyboard drawer that is reasonably priced, rotates 360, hieight adjust and tilts has been fun. I have tried 4 other drawers before this and all have failed, they all caused me to loose work by buttons being hit after the height adjusting feature failed to lock.

Un-freakin-believable!

This is the greatest product ever! The raising and lowering couldn't be more simple! So easy, a caveman can do it! (oops...am I going to get lawsuit for that one?) This product delivers in a big way. All thinkable adjustments can be made and it's totally awesome!

Comfort at Work

This keyboard tray allows me to sit comfortably or to stand and get my work done. Which is a great help since my body cannot take any one position for too long. This has really help my productivity and has made it easier for me to get my job done. I really like the wrist supports that came with the tray. they help keep my wrists supported while typing.
