I LOVE IT! Amazing quality but it sheds like crazy
Wow what a gorgeous area rug! The ONLY issue I have with these is that it has a musty smell at first. So you gotta either air it out for a couple of weeks or get on it with a dry shampoo. Second - New Zealand wool is known for its shedding. So be prepared to go at this for a few weeks or months with a good strong vacuum. Eventually the shedding does reduce or stop completely. For me because this area rug is what I’ve been searching for - for months - I don’t mind the situation with the shedding. But beware before buying that the New Zealand wool does have this issue. I had another 2!NZ wool area rugs from safavieh that shed constantly for months. The only way to get it to stop or drastically reduce is by making sure you have a strong vacuum and going at it a couple times a week. A headache, I know. But it is the only way.
