Love the colors but they are too small and thin for a backsplash, they look like baby tiles.

Muted colors-kinda neutral but so neutral they kinda fade. Feels kinda moraccan then goes to Grandma's quilt design. Think old timely flour sack cloth designs. Busy pattern, would be too much on whole wall. I can see this in a country style home as an accent strip. In the right place, it would do well. I used it on a Kante planter and taped off hard edges with painter's tape to cover the places I wanted the raw planter base to show through. Really-I had nothing else to match w/ the tile-so neutral it was overwhelmed by a muted brown glass mosiac I tried as an accent to fill in. I added a few pieces of HOUSE OF MOSAICS LTD Jewel White Gloss Glass Mosaic Tile as an accent sparkle. The tile worked well and cleaned up nicely. I used sanded charcaol grout but a tan or dove gray would have been best. The side with harlequin pattern, I added some leftover pieces of Merola Tile Classico Black Mosaic Tile (which are same pattern but only in black), 3 black glass jewels on the bottom and glass "ice" cubes in the middles. The whole design uses tons of tape.

This is the Merola Tile Classico 2 in. Black Mosaic Tile on a Kante pot. The tile is easy to install, comes on a mesh backing and cleaned up well. I used charcoal sanded grout. It is paired with: Merola Tile Metro Penny Matte White Black Flower, Abolos Metro Galaxy Black Square Mosaic Glossy Glass Pool Tile, Jewel White Gloss Glass Mosaic Wall Tile, and HOUSE OF MOSAICS Spiro Gray Geometric Matte Marble Mosaic. All of it patchworked together on 4 sides of the pot. I used one strip Abolos Galaxy glass micro mosaic black tile on the top lip edge. The tile would be good as an accent strip on a solid background. I think it would be too busy for a whole wall. Feels kinda Moraccan, then it feels kinda old fashioned quiltwork-ish.

Great Look!

They are the perfect touch for my laundry room. I installed them myself and found them very easy to install. Gave it a 4 because I would of loved it if the individual tiles were just a bit larger.

These merola classic tiles in the 2-inch Mix are really lovely. The colors are soft and blend well together. These two inch tiles are attached to a mesh so you can use them as is or separate them and make a pattern of your own. All that's required if you use the 11 by 5 in squares is to grout them. They will go well with many other looks including the larger version of these tiles. They are a bit glossy so I probably would not recommend them on the floor but I really do like them. And just an added bonus, for a mosaic artist this will be fun for you.
