sticky latch

Received my register covers quickly, no complaint there, but upon opening and installing one in the floor, found the latch to be very difficult to slide. It just gets stuck and I cant get it to open or close well at all. Probably going to return it.

These look amazing, I love the color. My room looks so much nicer with these.

They work great and look really good. I just wish they were a bit easier to clean. Other than that, I love them.

Fantastic but frustrating

The simple black contemporary floor vents look very good but the 4 screws for attaching the brackets are impossible to get in/out of the holes. So, not yet installed. The lever to open/close the vents is a bit hard to operate on some but I will put those in locations that won’t need adjustment. Still, the look of the vents is stunning and I’m glad I have them.

Got two vents. One for great the other not so much. 2 of the screws that hold the pressure clips in were stripped and when I got them out the threads on the holes were so damaged I had to redrill amd retap. Then the vent wasn’t flat I had to take it apart and bend it to get it back to flat.

Great quality vents

In the past I have always purchased cheap vents from Lowe’s/ home depot. The plastic inner portion always break off with kids or pets and the finish does not hold up. So far impressed with the quality and they do feel like they will give us years of use without issue.

Perfectly cast...

Renovating an older home (~100 years old) and needed some floor/wall registers to replace the former units... These work well with the odd dimensions (4x14) and placements. Took me a while to pull the trigger but I'm happy I waited until this model was available (and on sale)! The look/feel works and the aluminum won't rust like the previous units (gas heat). I'm pleased!

Contemporary Look and Finish

Purchased to match our new black floor tile in a bathroom reno. Nice looking vent. Operation is smooth. Fits existing floor/duct openings. My biggest issue are the 4 mm bolts and tapped holes that connect the spring clips to the vent. Because the vent body is aluminum, any misalignment between the holes in the painted cover and vent body, makes it easy to strip the threads in the aluminum body. I had to buy longer 4 mm x 8 mm bolts, which can't be longer or they interfere with the operation of the vent and are visible through the vent fin/openings. Knowing what I know next time. I'll buy more but be extra careful when installing the spring clips and making sure the holes align first and foremost.

Quality is high! Still building out where it will be installed so don't have a photo yet, but looks like it will be a great finishing touch for the room.
