Not functioning properly?

We have a Flowtron but wanted a larger, more effective bug zapper. We have had a hanging zapper outside for 50 years, replacing them as needed. We purchased the large Black and Decker Zapper , the light comes on however it “zaps” very few bugs, none collect in the tray- I had taken the tray out to feed the toads, but put it back to monitor the number of insects- it is essentially empty. we put back out the Flowtron and it has a collection of bugs underneath ( just sat it on a table to monitor) . Not sure if there is something wrong? Don’t know how to check it?

Bought this to get rid of all the houseflies flying around in my backyard during the day - but it DOES NOT WORK for houseflies - not a single housefly was caught. The only thing it zaps are small flying insects during the night.

Black Decker Indoor/Outdoor Bug Zapper

Received what was supposed to be an Indoor Outdoor Bug Zapper. Received instead an outdoor bug zapper with 24"? cord. A waste of waiting. Do not recommend. For use outdoor but stay away from water.

Good all around bug zapper

This thing attracts and kills any flying insect, including mosquitoes. Used it for one summer and so far it has held up in the summer sun. I had less mosquito bites in my backyard after using this for a few weeks. It isn't going to eliminate every mosquito though. I also moved it indoors because mosquitoes were biting my family and I during dinner and couch time. it works great indoors but not the prettiest thing to see.

Received the bug zapper in a box marked outdoor. So! I was a little confused because I wanted it for both areas but when it’s labeled outdoor, well, can I use it in the house? Not! Plus, the cord is too short and the bug catch is really awkward and hard to take off and put back on. Took it back.

Home Despot refers to this as for indoor/outdoor use. The company is LYING to the public. It is only for outdoor use. I read the markings on the box and the instructions. Now I believe NOTHING this company claims. It's not Black and Secker's fault. Their labeling is VERY CLEAR.

Bug Zapper Indoor Use

I’m happy with the indoor use of my bug zapper. I’m experiencing less flies and mosquitoes in my house because they’re attracted to the bug zapper. Yay!

I've had this in the house now for over a month, the mosquito seems to like me better, haven't zapped on mosquito yet. :-(

No fly was killed or attracted to the zapper in the duration of the item being on.

It is not attracting flys which is why I bought it.

why would you buy a bug zapper that uses a mosquito repellent, don't you want a mosquito to come to the device?

I was skeptical about how well this would work but. I'm pleasantly surprised. It's caught quite a few bugs already and seems to be doing a good job keeping them away.
