Yes, it is made in china. But the quality could be better. The cushin started to flatten out pretty quickly.
Basic sums it up!
As the name suggests, it's a Basic chair, and it's attractive at first glance, but you don't buy a sub $50 chair for it's design and quality. You buy this chair to use occasionally. Personally, I purchased 5 of these to use around my poker table, because the chairs that came with the table were horrible! These chairs are better construction and look nicer in my opinion, but again, I don't believe these chairs were meant to be used on a daily basis or for extended periods of time.
