Excellent safe. Works great with the key pad and the backup key is great. Very strong, not cheap feeling at all, very sturdy. Great price and value!

It's very nice.I still have not mounted it or built a cabinet for it yet but I will soon.

Personal safe

The safe will serve the purpose I intended it for however, the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because it was made in China, which was very disappointing. I thought I reviewed this item thoroughly before purchasing. The company is American and thought that I was getting an American made product so sad.

Works as advertised.

Haven't had a flood or fire yet but the safe seems sturdy enough and the keyboard works flawlessly. Have it secured to the concrete floor so it won't be for the casual passerby to lift it.

This safe is a good size to hold valuable papers and jewelry as well as a handgun or two. It doesn't take up much space and can be attached to the floor or a wall of a closet.

This is a good safe

So far, so good, a good size, no troubles with the keypad entry or the keyed entry like that there’s a light that comes on inside when you open the door. Comes with bolts to anchor it to the floor if desired. It weighs 60 pounds so it’s already difficult to just grab it out of a closet or tight space. If you add pistols and ammunition, it will be very difficult.

Sturdy Safe

The safe is large enough to hold the things we need to store and feels heavy & sturdy. It wasn't hard to set a combination or to open it, using your combination. The keypad lights up when you begin to enter it, making it much easier to see

Perfect Ammo (and small items) Safe

Best ammo safe in the market. Its one of the few compact safes that is Fireproof, a critically factor as ammo could be set off in a housefire endangering family, neighbors, firefighters and anyone nearby. Deeper than it looks, can accommodate up to 5000 rounds of pistol and rifle ammo in my estimation. An adjustable and durable interior shelf good or separating pistol from rifle ammo. It can also hold legal sized documents, handguns, magazines, optics, cash, gold, jewelry and just about any other sensitive item. Love the dimensions, it can be hidden inside a closet or fit neatly under a desk. At 50 lbs its not too difficult to move around, unlike other fireproof safes that can weigh over 150 lbs. It can also be bolted down for extra security. Best part is the digital access: its quick, painless and 100% reliable so far; can be opened within seconds with a 4-6 code. The key backup ensures access if pin is forgotten. For around $200 bucks, this is the best fireproof safe in the market. Great quality and solid built, Hornady made the perfect ammo safe.

Showed up broken

Showed up and was hard to open and close. Felt like the bolts that came off the door were off track, so they immediately became off center from the holes where I couldn't close it. Taking apart the back of the door, I saw that the mechanism to open and close the door relied on a bolt to keep it on track. That bolt was broken, hence not being able to close it. This is supposed to be a safe, and the fact that it relies on a clearly easy to break bolt does not inspire confidence. If you look at the picture, you can see how I am able to place my finger between the bolt and the wall it is mounted to.

Perfect for quick access

I thru-bolted this safe to the top of another larger safe. I can open it in 3 seconds in the dark without glasses on thanks to the lighted keypad. Perfect size for valuables and documents as well as small arms.

Hornady safe

Didn’t work as advertised. No way to change the safe code from factory default. Yes I followed instructions. Also the beep sound stopped working the first day. Nice enough little safe but the keypad is clearly not up to the task.

I really love this safe , light inside interior, enough room to hold important items, affordable . Well made , looking for another but taller for my longer guns , but space saver for like a closet, that is a reasonable price

Hornady Fireproof Keypad Safe

I have the Hornady Fireproof Keypad Safe 95407 pistol safe that I absolutely love and it was exactly what I was looking for. It came as stated and is very solid. The size is just right to fit and be bolted down inside my wardrobe closet, inconspicuous and child-proof. The tamper-resistant hefty steel construction is reassuring. This is a very secure gun safe, and the keypad makes it easy to get into when needed. This safe is a fantastic way to keep your guns out of your kids' hands. I’m happy with the accessible and the door opens easy. I highly recommend it for the security it affords.

I would by this product again

Loved this safe. The key pads light up when entering the code. The LED light in the door is very nice to have when you open it up. Fits nicely in a closet that has low shelf's Top of the line quality.

Incorrect interior measurement made this a disappointment

Bought this to store silencers. The notes at the top of the web page state the interior is 13.3" deep as does Hornady web page. My boxes are 12.5" and the door will not close. The usable interior depth with the door closed is approximately 12.25". Other than that, it is a nice steel box. The boxes fit angled in but I lose about 60% of the space. I would recommend this with that caveat. When I put in all four of my boxes, the shelf is no longer usable.
