Well built

The plate that has to be mounted on the wall does not have a quick release to separate it from the rest of the motion parts and the tv bar. Because it has some weight to it you need a second person to hold it in place while marking the wall for the screw placement. It can be seperated but if a helper is available it’s not worth the trouble. It also doesn’t come with the normal assortment of metric screws for the tv bars to be attached like most kits have.

Works and looks good

Used this for our outdoor TV. It has seen a few days of rain, and no rust yet. Love the swivel action. Easy to mount, nice to have the built-in level as well.

attractive price. I used this to mount a 40" VIZIO. I have two complaints. One is that the machine screws that you tighten to lock the TV onto the mount are too short. When you tighten them all the way, The TV can still slide back and forth. The other is that the mount is so wide that it covered the rear panel where you need to plug in your cable and A/V connections. I could only make it work by sliding the TV to the right about 4".

The MegaMount arrived without the required bolts, nuts and screws to allow installation. The enclosed packing slip confirmed these critical components should have been included. While packing errors can occur, I was surprised that contacting both The Home Depot and MegaMount directly did not rectify the situation.

Does a good job, not a lot of tilt

This was easy to mount but the directions are not as thorough as they could be. Two things you need to know that are not in the instructions. 1-there is a tilt. Loosen up the two screws that are on each mounting rail, somewhat but not all the way, they are located by the hooks. 2-your TV's connection ports may interfere with the horizonal bar of the mount, so measure or test before completely tightening down the screws. I used the locking screws as a landmark for where the mount bar would be. Other than that, it looks and works great!

This mount being a single arm and not a double will sag a lot. when I mounted my tv it bends the arm down quite a bit. Says it will hold up to 100 lbs, which is probably true but it will be tilted down quite a bit because it’s just not strong enough to hold my 50” TV. I am replacing it.
