suppose to mount up to 55" TV, I have a 38 inch it was almost to shot to fit,

You want to follow the directions, as the hinge mechanism prevents use of some hole combinations. My TV is about an inch lower than planned due to this restriction.
Cheap Is Never As Good
Absolute junk! Spend another $50 on a good one and save yourself $200 in aggravation.
Would be good for a smaller television but not so good for a 55” television
Good mount
Love my TV on the wall. Out of the way. The directions were wrong about driving a rubber piece into a stud. Even I know that wouldn't work.
Difficult to align. Even though I used the included level and measured properly, The TV alignment is off by 1/4 inch.

We are building a house and used these to install out TV's. All worked as expected (even my 55") and were easy to install! Very pleased!
The mounting kit is a complete joke! The stud finder couldn't find a stud if it was right in front of it. I calibrated the finder, scanned the wall and put three holes where a "stud" should have been. I was very hesitant to purchase this from the beginning, I should've listened to my self. Don't wast your time with this kit!!!
