HERCULES Big & Tall Executive Chair
The chair is a quality item. I DO NOT appreciate the fact that assembly was left to the customer. NFM should have an assembly department with appropriate costs associated with each individual item.
I phoned Wayfair last week - they were going to have a repair service contact me - but I am still waiting. The chair seat has a slight tilt forward at all times. Basically you need your feet to support yourself from sliding forward. If this can be fixed, the chair is super comfortable - just not usable like this.
Disappointing
Arm padding shifted to side after one week. Arms loosen shortly after tightening. Casters sent were too small/weak; looking for replacements. Strikes me as having been sent a quality reject. This is only my second week; can't wait to see what is next. The bright side is that I learned Never, Never Ever to buy a chair without sitting in it first.
Not a great product
Cloth is very fragile, snags on clothes. It was too high for me (5'2" female) even on the lowest setting. Like, structurally it's fine, but otherwise it's not worth the money. The cushion went flat in the first 4 hours. There's many much better chairs in this price range.
Recommended chair.
Chair is well built and assembles easy enough. Screw /bolt holes match well. Padding is thick (for that 400 pounder). But for a smaller person (185 lbs), it sits kind of firm. I like the chair. Beats a bonded leather that peels like bad paint.
Just okay, needs a gel cusion seat.
I go through a chair about once a year being 5'7" and weighing 300 lbs. and I don't see this one lasting much longer than the rest. Feels like they used cheap foam on the seat and is uncomfortable so I'll be looking for a seat pad soon for it. This chair might be fine for those under 250 lbs. Easy to assemble but it came with the box not taped shut good and was open but wasn't missing any parts luckily. The sliding arms are always getting loose and don't want to stay tight so I maybe adding some locking washers to the wingnuts. I wish it leaned back a bit more so I can take quick naps in it as I'm in it for 6 hours a day on my computer. I'm pretty sure if your over 6' tall, the back won't support your head though it shows to be a highback chair in photos. The seat is very wide if you have a large bottom and the arms will expand making even more room. Not a fan of the rough feeling material.
Eh- okay chair with some technical dislikes
This chair is huge- so definitely for very tall people, either you can sit against the back and have your calves cut off or touch the floor and not be able to sit back. Assembling the back piece didn't go well- bolts provided didn't reach and the back seemed weak at best; leaning would break it off. I didn't find it comfortable at all, just spacious. It came with a faulty pneumatic lift mechanism. Returned it.
I’ve had this chair for about a month now. I’m a 26 Y/O, active male. 5’11” 165lb. Recent events have had me working remote (I also enjoy to game during the colder months), so this chair is getting about 12 hours of use per day as a computer/office chair.
Not Worth the Money
Going down hill only 5wks after assembly. Base pieces cracked off after the second week. the cushion deflated after a few weeks leaving the feeling like sitting on a plastic chair. I can actually hear plastic board buckling in the seat cushion area. I'm not that big. Very disappointing for the money spent on such poor quality. Already getting back aches. It's Wide, that's why I gave it one star.
I have only had this chair for 2 weeks but I have to say it is a wonderful chair. The seat is comfy to sit on it operates with ease, it was easy to put together and has plenty of room. There are few -small- downsides. The fabric on the arms is slightly textured and rubbed my skin a little, I purchased covers and it solved the problem. Being a short person this chair, even at its lowest sits pretty high off the ground (hint chair makers not all large people are tall people) This is easily resolved by my foot rest I already had so no big deal but if you are short (i'm 5'1") it will be to high for you at its lowest setting) These are very small drawbacks and the chairs structure, size, easy of use and adjustements more than make up for these downsides.

What's important to look for in an ergonomic office chair?
Adjustability in height, lumbar support, armrests, and seat depth are key features to look for to ensure comfort and support.

Quality office chairs can last 7-10 years. Replace when wear affects comfort or if the chair no longer supports proper posture.
Can the material of an office chair impact comfort?
Yes, breathable materials like mesh offer comfort for long hours, while leather can provide durability and a classic look.
What are the ergonomic considerations for a home office desk and chair?
The desk height should be approximately 30 inches (76 cm), with enough space under the desk for your legs — at least 24 inches (61 cm) for a desk chair with legs. For a chair with castors, a clearance space of 28 inches (71 cm) from the desk's edge is recommended.
How much space is required for a comfortable desk chair?
A chair with legs needs around 28 inches (71 cm) from the nearest desk edge, while a swivel chair requires more space due to its mobility.
What is the ergonomic height for a desk chair?
The seat of a desk chair should be about 18 inches (46 cm) high, with adjustable armrests for lateral and height movement.
What are the key measurements for ergonomic furniture design?
Work surfaces should be about 36 inches (91 cm) high, with at least 8 inches (20 cm) of legroom under the work surface, and office chairs should provide 28 inches (71 cm) of space for legroom.
What ergonomic principles should I follow when setting up my home?
Furniture should match the user's body type, with work surfaces at a comfortable height (usually 36 inches for kitchen counters) and seating that supports a relaxed posture.
What are some effective ways to clean and maintain my furniture and rugs?
Use sticky lint rollers for picking up small debris, wet wipes for mark removal, and thin stockings over vacuum nozzles to clean hard-to-reach areas like LEGO pieces.
