Nice Chair but Pneumatic Cylinder Failing
Unfortunately after receiving in good condition and no issues with assembly, the chair began to lose height and lower to bottom of pneumatic cylinder. Purchased chair specifically for being heavy duty and for ability to sit high. Pneumatic Cylinder will not hold height when person in chair.
Good Office Chair. Not cheap.
So far, so good. I love the leather feel and look. I would recommend this product to a friend.
This chair is PERFECT for my 6’5” son!! Great lumbar support, padded arm rests, and I love the head rest. My son works at a computer all day and comes home to unwind sitting in his chair!
I will buy this product again in the future
Awesome chair. Great for big and tall. Extreme comfortable and nice leather. Awesome again
Disappointed especially considering the cost. The chair does NOT tilt. It is uncomfortable and the arm rests are made with very thin stuffing under the material. You can actually feel bolts under the material when you have your arms in place. That was within 1 month of purchase.
Solid, sturdy chair. Lives up to it's claim of being able to support heavy people comfortably for hours at a time. Assembly was straight forward and easy to understand for me and I'm certainly not a handyman. Parts and hardware clearly labeled. Chair is heavy so if you're not comfortable dealing with that individually arrange help in advance of assembly. Personally, this is the best chair I've used that's designed for heavy people. Design matches the purpose. I would definitely recommend it.
Seat cushion compresses too much
I needed a new office chair that would be comfortable for long periods of sitting at an office desk. The back of the chair is firm and comfortable. However, the seat cushion compresses way too much and feels like you're sitting on a wood bench. I would not recommend this chair considering it's price.
Nice chair, poor packaging
I love the chair. It very sturdy, I can not give a 5 star rating because the packaging of the chair was poor. One arm rest the grommets are stripped out and the handle for the tilt mechanism is broken. I will replace the grommet myself to fix the armrest and will wing the tilt operation.
Sitting on a cloud!
I used to work retail for a major wireless provider and now I switched roles to a Work from home role as a call center representative working 8 hours a day 5 days a week and I'm 320lbs 5'9 with narrowing of the spine and arthritis in my back ive gotten back injections and this chair is amazing! GET THIS CHAIR spend the extra $ for a good quality chair and stop being cheap! Don't go to those "other guys" and buy those $179.99 chairs either! My only complaint I absolutely HATE putting things together!
FLASH FURNITURE HERCULES LEATHERSOFT EXECUTIVE BIG & TALL CHAIR
Looks great, feels great, feels strong, but does not recline...I have tried everything, and it barely reclines, not enough tilt to get it far back enough. The only way it will tilt is by putting your feet on the desk, and use that pressure to make it tilt the bit that it does, until you are tired of doing so. Bummer, for what looks to be a great chair! For the price, you would expect to get it all, but you don't! I say, lower the price and don't say it tilts, or make it tilt properly for the price tag.
Chair arrived in a torn up box but still in excellent condition. Easy to assemble. Only complaint...
Chair arrived in a torn up box but still in excellent condition. Easy to assemble. Only complaint is the tilt spring is too stiff. Have the adjustment as loose as I can get it and it is still difficult to lean back (and I am not a little man).
no tilt deal breaker
easy to put together but takes time and patience two people makes it easier dnot tighten screws until very end. attach arm to seat section before the back section.. NOW after getting it together it doesnt tilt waiting on hearing how to correct it? also little plastic handle attachment came broken. no instructions just some pictures on what to do.no way to get in touch with customer service. big chair sits high
It is solid, I will give them that. The arms are definitely hard to get on. The secret is, you have to slide the material in the back of the seat, down the screw shaft. Then slide the sleeve of the arm over the shaft. Then put in the screw. Won't tighten any other way, cause material gets in the way. Once together. Rock solid chair, but with no adjustments. Went I sat in it, the back of the seat leans back, no support on the back. I started thinking about how many pillows it needed, so I could sit up straight. Then I thought again...this chair way too expensive for me to be making the adjustment with pillows. Took it to customer service at store, easier than getting that heavy chair back in the box
1 week: compressed cushion, piston failure
WITHIN ONLY ONE WEEK: COMPRESSED CUSHION, PISTON FAILURE.
Sat Lob Sided, Inadequate Cushioning, Tear on Side
This is a heavy duty chair, unfortunately, I had to return it to the store because upon putting it together it had a small tear in the lower part of the seat near the arm rest. I would've actually kept it but when I stood back and looked at it, it definitely sat lob sided. One side of the seat was higher than the other. When sitting in it, the tilt was very apparent. The seat also didn't have as much cushion as other computer chairs I've owned and an added cushion would've had to be used. As another reviewer said, it does have a tilt tension adjustment knob, but it does not have a tilt lock mechanism. Very disappointed it didn't sit level and for that reason, I won't order a replacement. I'm afraid the next chair would be the same and it's too big and heavy to have to lug back to the store to return yet again. I would like to mention, the box it was packed in was not previously opened. None of the bags inside holding the parts had been torn open, etc.
Thick cushioned chair
I bought this chair because we are a 24hr police department that needs a chair that can withstand someone sitting in it all day and night. It is very heavy and solid feeling with ample cushions and lumbar support. It is only a week into using this chair but so far the purchase is living up to the description. The only trouble that I have experienced with the chair is the tilt is very stiff and hard to lean back or rock but I assume that will ease with time. Here is hoping that it will hold up for a long time.
Amazing chair at an Amazing price!
First of all the box arrived at my doorstep and it was huge!!! It was very heavy so I dragged it into my garage to open and inspect the contents. I was totally amazed that there was no blemishes nor defects in workmanship. I started by removing the armrests and they were very heavy duty in construction. I found the instruction sheet and hardware sheet. I began by reading the instructions and familiarizing myself of the contents before assembly. Everything is very heavy so another person should assist you. First the wheels had to hammered into the base, you can't just press them in. I suggest a ball peen hammer using the peen end to make the process easier. Then assemble the chair. The hardest part was aligning the bolt holes for the armrests, it takes some patience and muscle to get thru this step. The whole chair is so heavy that I took it downstairs in two pieces, first the base then the chair. Lay the chair down on its side and let gravity help you in final assemble. It sits very comfortably! Don't forget to loosen the tension knob for the leanback feature, its too tight and must be loosened to work properly. One caveat: it feels like your falling-sliding off the front, but that's the waterfall feature built in the chair!
Love my new chair!
This chair is great I'm a 270 lb. 6' 1" man. My old chair popped and snapped every time I moved or reached, and I had to cross my legs under it. This chair is ten times more comfortable, and tall enough for my legs. I am positive it would support 500 lbs. A little hard to assemble the back to the seat, as you have to lay it down on the floor to do this. But when I took it into my bedroom and laid it on the bed, it was much easier. I can see this chair is going to last a long time, much longer than my old chair did. I strongly recommend this chair.
Fantastic, heavy duty chair
I made the final decision to buy this chair after much research and directly because of a review I read on it. I needed an intensive use chair that would last longer than a year that I’ve been getting out of all the chairs I’ve bought at COSTCO and other major retailers that were all garbage. All of them are the same with hydraulic cylinders that are too small, construction that is cheap plastic and phony material when they tell you it’s leather. None of what you buy in the stores is designed for anything but extremely light duty/use regardless of how big or small you are physically. I researched chairs designed and sold for intensive use and the good ones are all custom chairs that cost 3 to 5 times what this chair costs. I am in this chair 14 hours per day. I needed a solid, heavy duty chair that can take abuse and not wear out in a few months. I am completely happy with this chair. It is absolutely outstanding for the money and is in fact a heavy duty, well-constructed chair that is the perfect alternative to spending $1,000 for a custom chair. The hydraulic control cylinder is without exaggeration twice the size of the standard cylinder found on all other chairs. The base is very heavy chromed steel; not cheap plastic. Turn it over and you see numerous real welds reinforcing the base. The arms are also heavy chromed steel. The leather is very nice and seems thick and not just a “veneer"” type. The only issue found is that the underside of the base of the chair is actually vinyl and not leather. On top of that is the actual seat portion which is leather and the seat, back and arms are all real leather. Construction is easy and the only thing to warn about is to be careful in attaching the arms. Do not tighten only one end and then try and do the other. The fit is very tight and you need to just start both sides very loose, have both ends of the arms connected and then tighten both alternating a few twists at a time on each side until both are tight. This chair is outstanding and is the answer for me for an incredible price compared to what a custom, heavy duty chair would be. This is a real intensive duty chair and is very high quality, heavy duty construction for the price. Highly recommend it for someone looking for quality for a change and a chair that will last.
Not A 25 Inch Max Seat Height Chair
I purchased this chair for the 500lb weight capacity and the description which said the seat platform sits at 25 inches when fully lifted. I picked this over another big and tall chair that said it only reached 24 inches at max seat height because I am a tall person with a tall desk to accommodate my long legs and I need the highest chair height I can find while still handling a lot of weight for the hours my husband will spend using the chair as well. I found it odd that a protection plan purchase is offered upon checkout for this chair. Does it or does it not support 500 lbs and does the manufacturer stand by that claim or don’t they??? Regardless of the cost of this chair which is an investment in my opinion, an additional protection plan should not be necessary for the manufacturer to back the claims made in the product description. After assembly the area of the seat where my bottom actually sits near the back reaches only 23 inches, and the highest part of the seat which is at the front where my thighs and knees sit only reaches 24 inches. Needless to say I am not happy with this purchase but after assembling it for 45 minutes my husband is not in favor of me disassembling and repackaging it to return it to my local Walmart. So I am stuck with a product that offers an inaccurate product description that should be corrected. Another two inches would put me exactly where I need to be in relation to the top surface of my desk. So I will spend even more money to place a thick pad in the chair to give me the two additional inches I need when sitting. I am overall not happy with this purchase. The chair does seem sturdy though, but the product description is inaccurate and therefore misleading to the consumer. Also, with the pencil drawer on my desk, I must leave the arms off the chair to be able to get close enough to the desk top without having to lean forward for extended periods of time because the arm height does not allow the chair to fit properly under the desk. I have also seen another review in case anyone needs it suggesting that if the gas lift begins to not hold weight and sinks (which the offer of a protection plan suggests is imminent), try turning the chair upside down for a few days to allow the fluid or gas or whatever to run back toward the top of the lift chamber. Then when you turn it back over it may work properly. I would be careful to protect the surface I leave it sitting upside down on for a few days just in case of any leakage. Also the tilt control mechanism is not what I thought it would be. I was hoping to position the tilt slightly forward at the max height for better posture. The tilt mechanism simply locks the chair upright and prevents rocking backward and only when at the lowest height. So you must totally lower the chair then you can lock the tilt and it will stay completely upright (but still roll and swivel, of course). Hope this review helps.
