It was exactly what my Dad needed for the living room! My Mom had passed back in February, and there was an old console TV that we had from Montgomery Wards aome 50years it lasted! It made my Dad real happy!

ok for what we need

the right height for my kids bedroom. only thing i dislike is the drawers are made of cheap plastic. seems sturdy enough to last in my kids bedroom ages 13, 11 and 9. has enough space for two game systems and a 40" tv. it says 37" because any tv that has a length after that will stick out of the stand which we dont mind at all. so far its been handling the weight of everything my kids threw in there and we purchased this exactly a month ago. kids love the color and the simplicity of it and they're glad to have a stand to put their tv on that's the right height for gaming and watching tv. I thought i had it down when i was putting it together but my husband had to help me. he told me its better to build things like this backwards.... and he was RIGHT. because the instructions were off. the doors

Cute, Convenient, NOT for anything heavy!

I wasnt sure if I should put a 3 or 4 star review.. I love the look and its super useful with the height, but I do not see how anyone could put a TV on it. It is dipping down on the top shelf just from having some lightweight empty plastic drawers on it. We use it in our computer shop for keeping computer on that are ready for pickup. Bottom drawers are super thin cheap plastic and not for everyday use. Store something, but dont try to open it a bunch or the door may bend in.

I needed to replace a bulky and deteriorating cabinet that my TV previously sat on and this was perfect. Easy to assemble, easy to move around and a lot more functional. Only issue I had was the doors were plastic instead of what I thought was wood but I didn't read the description very well.

I was so excited about receiving this item. I asked a friend to come over to help me put it together but had become anxious about seeing the finished project that I couldn't wait and decided to start it myself. Unfortunately after opening the box I was disappointed because most of the pieces were either broken or damaged! I am soooo disappointed in this. I can not see recommending this to anyone because of my experience and I know if it had not been a damaged product, I'm sure I would have loved it. I had fallen in love with it so much, I was going back to look at the picture of it while waiting for it to arrive.

This TV Stand is 36" high and I love it. Perfect for beds that are high. I can lay flat in bed and actually see my TV without sitting up higher. We did not add the 2 door cabinet because we wanted the shelves to be open. We turned the shelves that had the cut outs in them for the cabinet doors on the opposite side so you could not see them. It was so easy to assemble. No tools were required. Just screw in the legs between each shelf and finish it with the silver fasteners on the top shelf. This is a great stand. It comes with a cherry finish too if you don't want black.

Nice unit

This is a very nice unit, and I do recommend it, but 2 things prevented me from giving it 5 stars. One was the directions. They actually had it put together upside down, so the legs were on the top, and had to be switched (and it wasn't as simple as just switching legs with caps). Not that hard to do but puzzling. The 2nd is that the doors on the bottom are pretty cheap plastic. They look nice, and it won't be a problem for me as I'm careful with things and won't be opening them often. But I woudln't recommend it for a home with small children who may want to yank on things. I have no doubt that I'll be enjoying it for many years.

The good: It came it a compact package. It was easy to assemble. It looks good. It holds the TV at a good high for watching on the bed. The shelves leave a lot of room to keep bulky items on them. It was relatively cheap. The not good: The doors on the bottom are molded thin sheet plastic. The hinges are very simple, and I'm going to have to be careful with them so that they don't break. The entire assembly will wobble if you bump it with something. I don't expect it to survive in a move. Overall: Great value if you need something simple and functional in smallish space. I would buy it again if I had a second chance.

Very Pleased

I was looking for a taller TV stand to fit my 40' inch tv that I also bought from Walmart and settled on this one. I am very pleased. It fits my 40' inch TV perfectly without it extending over the sides. Very sturdy and very easy to put together. We are using it in our kitchen area near our fireplace area and worked out perfectly. Now I can see the TV for all areas of the kitchen. You do need a phillips screwdriver to put it together and the doors are made out of a shiny plastic which I did know about prior to purchasing. Doesn't bother me and I actually like it. All the shelves are wood so I am ok with it. I am always concerned about deliveries arriving damaged but this arrived undamaged with NO scratches so I am very happy with my purchase.

Porch & Den Bywater Montegut TV Stand

The stand is just as it looks in the photo. Easy enough to assemble, except for the sides/back of the door area. I found it a bit difficult to get the back/sides into the slots. The stand overall is good and works perfectly for my 40” TV. The doors are plastic and a bit cheap looking, but at least they are on the bottom of the unit and not a focal poin. Tip: don’t glue the top of the pegs until you are sure the pieces that go on top of the pegs fit correctly.

Nice and does the job

Easy to assembly and well made tv stand. It was a packed very well to prevent any damage while shipping. The shelves are well made and actually have a wood-like grain on them. The front doors were made of plastic, I expected wood but still remain very satisfied with my purchase. The doors are also simple enough if I really desired I could go to any hardware store and replace them wood if desired. Overall sturdy and for the money works out great

Have been using this for a couple of weeks now & so far so good. It supports my tv fine. Its a little wobbly but doesn't seem to be a risk.

great for bedroom viewing

This high boy TV stand is easy to assemble and is a perfect height for a bedroom TV stand. It took 15 minutes for me to assemble by myself. Very easy to do. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the plastic doors. One arrived broken, plus they are very flimsy. For a couple of bucks more they could have provided a sturdy door that actually worked without looking CHEAP.

Well Pleased

I had a huge tv entertainment stand in the bedroom that was taking up way to much space. When I was looking for a replacement for the bedroom it had to be a certain height for the bed to fit (a lot of stands are small height for livingrooms). This tv stand is the perfect size! It was easy to assemble; I did it myself. It is heavy in the box due to the shelve material but once its put together it moves around nicely. Only thing I would have to say was a downgrade was the doors on the bottom - my last stand had glass doors. These are made of plastic so they really aren't well made but it looks decent. All in all though it is a perfect fit for the home.

Good for me

This worked perfect for my room. I needed a high tv stand so I can see my tv from my bed since my bed it pretty high. I love the simple and contemporary look. However, I do agree with other reviewers that the quality isn't great. The only part the bothered me was the doors; they are a cheap flimsy plastic door. And the magnetic part that shuts the door came broken. But I still really like it, and it was super easy to assemble and is sturdy.

Simple and utilitarian

I received this TV stand on time and well packaged. No missing parts and good directions. It took me less than 30 minutes to assemble alone (age 59). I needed this in my small office for a 32" flat screen TV and shelves for various office/craft supplies. It was the perfect size and the height allowed more space underneath. It's very stable for all my items including books on the bottom shelf. One thing I read from the other reviews was the doors for the bottom shelf. They said they looked cheap. I agree, I did not use the doors due to the shiny cheaper look and they really add nothing to the look, but use them if you want to hide items. I prefer decorated boxes (like at Michaels) for those items I want hidden.

Seems sturdy and bigger than appears

This was extremely easy to put together. Seems to be very sturdy. Is larger once put together than it appears in the picture. The only thing that I could not tell from the description or the photo is that the 2 doors at the bottom are extremely cheap, thin plastic. May be okay if they don't get bumped into or moved a lot. They are held closed with magnet catches and you can see the plastic bend slightly when you open the doors; that's how flimsy it is. Other than that, it looks very nice and I'm pleased.

High enough TV stand

This is a tall enough TV stand. My daughter uses it to support her TV that her Wii is connected to. I think it looks alright. Even though I see it now in the description, I'm surprised that anyone uses PLASTIC to make doors. I mean, it would have been just as easy to make wood doors, and not that expensive.

I purchased a 40" LED flat-panel HDTV for my bedroom in my apartment and needed a TV stand that would allow the TV to clear the height of the foot-board of my bed. This stand had the tallest height that I could find on the website and at $79 I decided to take a chance on it even though it says for TV's up to 37" and the one I bought was a 40". The TV fits perfectly on the stand, clears the foot-board for easy viewing while laying in the bed, and isn't too heavy for it (a sticker on the top shelf indicates no more than I think 50 or 60lbs). The stand is sturdy and stylish at a great price (lots of the reviews mention disappointment regarding the plastic doors but they don't bother me one bit). Also, it's really easy to put together (only 30 minutes while watching TV). I used the Site to Store shipping method (free) and picked up it myself. I ordered on 02/16/13 and my order confirmation said it would be there by 03/04/13. To my surprise, I received an email on 02/21/13 stating it was ready for pickup! I picked it up on 02/22/13 and the box fit right in the backseat of my girlfriend's Toyota Camry.
