I purchased 4 items. There was damage to the paint on several sections of the pipe. Also, the screws provided were too small in diameter to fully grip in the supplied hollow wall fasteners.

Rusted

I bought two sizes of this for outdoor use since they were advertised for outdoor use. Both of Them have rusted after only three months.

Terrible quality - received dented and peeling

I thought this product looked great on the website, but just unpacking it from the box, there are dents and some paint is peeling (a chunk of paint is missing). Terrible quality! They wrapped each piece up too - you would think there would be some kind of quality control. Would not recommend.

Sturdy, inexpensive, well made

This handrail is sturdy and inexpensive, thus ideal for an outside stairway. It's not hard to install. But the 12 screws provided with it are best for an indoor project with a sheetrock wall or similar material, not for attaching to a 4x4 wood post. I had to use Deckmate Star Drive coated screws (1-5/8 in x 8 ga), which I had left over from a previous job, and that really, really worked well.

After installation the handrail began to rust immediately. For this to happen the handrail is constructed if inferior materials and not painted properly. When assembling the unit had to continually manipulate the parts until they were aligned for a correct installation. Poor craftsmanship out of inferior materials and craftsmanship. Don't purchase!!!

I had broken my leg and had a hard time getting down garage steps. I ordered this grab bar and worked perfectly and just the right length, very sturdy. I have had it for about a month and wish I had gotten it sooner.

My rail was not a side wall application. It was top mount that needed to raise around 1 foot. Bought 10 " threaded pipe at a big box store. Painted the pipe black and used the 3 pieces instead. It worked well for my needs.

I really like the handrail itself. Great look, solid and nicely finished. Looks and works great installed. However, I have it 3 stars because the included anchors and screws were not fit for a Sheetrock install. The screws were fine for mounting in wood/studs but were too small for the anchors, which really weren’t fit for purpose. I bought better anchors and screws for the install.
