This is a beautiful lamp. It’s bright even on the low setting and easy to assemble. I will agree with another reviewer that if you’re going to use on a post, it should be a minimum of a 2x6.

This Guy Loves Gama Sonic

Gama Sonic Solar Lights are the best. They cost more but will last 3, 4 times and even longer than cheap solar lights. They also look nice and are brighter. The sconce bracket is strong and looks good with its shiny black powder coating. I live in the country far from streetlights and always welcome another solar light to light up the area around my house at night. I use this one to light a path that goes down the bluff to the creek. Gama Sonic lights shine brightly, deep into the night when other solar lights have given up. And they do it on nights following cloudy days where there was minimal sun. I anticipate years of service from this premium product from Gama Sonic. I have Gama Sonic lights that have lit up the night for 7 years, still running the original battery. They literally amaze me. This light is easily mounted to a vertical surface with the bracket supplied. The light is protected with a clear plastic globe that is removed by turning it to the left. Easily accessible then is the switch for hi/lo/off.I previously owned a Gama Sonic Solar Light similar to this one and I can see this newer edition has at least one upgrade where the top is more positively sealed.

A+ LIGHT

Gama Sonic is the only brand of solar lights I own. One light is going strong after a decade on the same two batteries. This nice design does come with two batteries, which helps the light stay on all night, even in the long winter nights (on low). The plastic bulb cover twists off easy to switch the hi/lo switch or replace the bulb or access the batteries. The curved solar panel soaks up the maximum amount of sun making the placement easier to figure out.

VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE AMOUNT OF LIGHT

This light comes in a couple of pieces that are very easy to put together. There's the top section of the lantern that has curved solar panels, which are designed to capture the maximum amount of daytime light; a special solar LED light bulb; a clear plastic dome that is the bottom part of the lantern, and the wall mount bracket. All parts are made from sturdy plastic. After I mounted the bracket above our garage door where there is a great need for some light, it was simple to screw the lantern onto the bracket. Before attaching the clear dome to the bottom of the lantern, be sure to locate the on/off/eco switch on the bottom of the solar section to choose whether you would like a strong full light, or an eco option that uses less light but for a longer duration. Once it got dark, I was surprised and very impressed at how bright this lantern is and it distributes light more than halfway down our driveway, which will make it safer when we come home late at night.

Decent looking lamp... light doesn't last but only two hours in night. Lamp is directly under the sun during whole day without any interference. Will replace with something else. Not this brand or style at all. Too bad I can't return for a refund.

Perfect!

Ingenious design with solar cells in shade. Easy up and didn't need the full two days to charge. Came on first night! Perfect addition to new shed that has no electricity. Did have to add wood behind the plate to give shade more access to sunlight under the partial overhang.

Gama Sonic Orion solar wall light looks great and performs perfectly!

This Gama Sonic GS-123W solar wall light is all plastic so there is no worry about rust. The unique solar panel is wrapped around the top of the fixture to capture energy from the sun from all directions. With the (2) 3.2V, 1500mAh batteries, it stays lit from dusk to dawn with a warm white, 2700K light. The 11 LEDs in the classic-looking A50/10W bulb have a brightness of 150 lumens. The dome lens that twists onto the lamp body is a thick plastic with a drain hole on the bottom. This lens protects the battery compartment and switch from the elements. The switch has options of LOW/OFF/HIGH.

Great Solar Light for Remote Locations

I now have two of these Gama Sonic Orion solar lights. My initial Orion I have had for 3+ years and it has proven very reliable. I have it mounted on a post where my drive meets the street, and where I have no power available. The light automatically comes on at dusk, and stays lit for several hours each night (until 11PM or later during winter months) on the "bright" setting. The light has a pleasant warm color, and lights up the entrance to my drive on a rural, unlit road.

Love this brand!!

I have many products from this vendor and some I have had for several several years and have yet to replace the batteries and they all look as if I just got them. I expect the same from this solar wall light from Gama Sonic. I have the gooseneck version along with a couple of the lamp post solar lights from this company and if I could give the brand 10 Stars I would. This is a very easy install. All you do is find a sunny location and you would screw in the base with the included accessories and from there you would again put on the solar cap...screw in the included solar light bulb... snap on the plastic lens cover and you are good to go. Remember before putting on that final plastic Globe cover that you would either need to turn the light on to one of the two options. One is low, which will give you a softer light longer or high, which is a brighter light that may not stay on throughout the night since it takes more battery usage. If I may recommend the option, I have all of mine on the low position and it gives plenty of light. I would highly recommend this product and this brand to anyone looking for solar power

Love that this solar light has the solar panels integrated...

Love that this solar light has the solar panels integrated into the fixture. Others that were closer to the barn light style had huge solar panels that we couldn't figure out how to hide. The look of this one is ok. I would rather not have the giant clear bulb cover on the bottom, but it looks nice at night. The eco setting is too dim for us. On the higher setting it gives out nice warm light above our garage. Hope it lasts!

Very bright especially for solar lights

Beautiful (discreetly solar) light

Searched high and low for a solar light that didn’t look like a solar light and landed on this one. It’s a pretty design without the telltale flat charging panel. We wanted something pretty to hang on our new fence and this fit the bill! With the lights set on the low setting they don’t put out enough light to disturb the neighbors, but have a warm glow that’s bright enough to light our pathway. Note these are fastened to 6x6 posts and won’t work on 4x4. They’d look great on a porch if that’s your application. Love ‘em!

After close to a year it still works perfectly. Love this light!

I bought this close to a year ago and I love it! It shines brightly all night long dusk to dawn. I have it mounted on top of an 8 ft post at the end of my dark driveway (no streetlights near by.) It works perfectly. One reason I chose it is that it is one of the brightest ones I could find. I wanted it to actually light the area, not just make a glow. It does the trick. The color of the light is perfect too. Not too blue or yellow; it looks very natural. No regrets!!

Good battery life - stays on all night

Purchased as a post mount light at my gate where there is no power. Good quality, plastic, but well made (time will tell).
