Meh
Like others have said it takes awhile to put together, the dowels vary in size, no pre drilled holes, the wood splits easily . Directions say not to use a drill but after splitting the drawers trying to screw the screws in, I did make pilot holes and use the drill very slowly. Also, heaven forbid they should provide extra nails. All in all a pain in the butt to put together. It took me close to 8 hours including going to the local hardware store for more wood nails and wood glue. I would not recommend.
Excellent little desk/cart!
This comes in a million pieces, but it's relatively easy to assemble --except for the body itself, which should be a piece of cake for two people, but hard to do alone. The instructions are easy to follow.
Thought i would buy this since it seemed ideal for craft storage. But heed the other reviewers' warnings -- the drawer assembly was deeply frustrating. The nails provided are garbage and there are several places where the wood is unfinished and rough -- especially on the drawer pulls (the part where you have to keep touching them). The drawers also have no way to stop them from sliding out completely, or even to pull straight out -- its just sliding on a long piece of plastic. Not having drawer slides at ALL on a piece of this price is unacceptable. Don't think i will be buying from wayfair ever again. Still angry after building this. It also does NOT match the product photos, as the fold out stand does NOT have a window cut out. I'd give 0 stars if i could.
Online shop Storage
The drawers come out and work as trays! I use this to store and package smaller items like stickers and small prints. I keep the packing supplies on top, then stickers, then art prints. I love wheeling it where I need it and I keep the otherside downwhen not in use so I always have at least a little cleared counter space available.
Decent unit for organizing, assembly difficult
Very Important: assembly is traumatic unless you have a power drill and another person to help hold pieces in place (I cannot emphasize this enough!). If dowls are too small, use toothpicks to fill gaps (no glue needed). When nailing back panel to sides, instructions say to use all the panel nails, which is 18 of them, not all of them that come with the unit (need more nails for later). When assembling drawers, to keep the front-side pieces at 90 deg angle, hold the drawer bottom, front and side pieces together, then insert screws (this is different than the instructions). Despite what the instructions say, the screws for the drawers are not sharp enough to self-tap, especially if there are knots in the wood. You will absolutely want a power drill to screw in these screws. Not only will a 2nd person and a power drill save hours of time, but they will save your sanity. Unit is not a table or desk meant to lean on or put heavy weight on. But it takes up little space and is good for organizing. Good luck!
5 Stars
It's a flat pack so everything needs to be put together. It turned out great! This company knows how to pack their product. No dented or scratched pieces. The directions were very clear and the drawings excellent. All the pieces present and accounted for. The instructions said not to use an electric screwdriver but I had to due to strength issues. Unless you're a WWA wrestler you probably will too.
Manufacturer could have drilled pilot holes
The desk, once completed is very nice and fits my needs very well. All the parts were included BUT the drawer assembly( 7 of them) was pretty tough, largely because there were no pilot holes for either then front OR back and every page of the instructions admonishes against using power tools. As I have arthritis in both hands, had I followed the instructions I would still be attempting to finish the project 2 days later. Other than that , all good! I would not recommend this to a person of my age (67) unless they had very strong and pain-free hands ( or a cordless drill) The finished piece is very nice however, had the pilot holes been present I would have given 5 stars.
Bad assembly design and poor material quality.
I started assembling my furniture but as it progressed I felt disappointed by the bad design to be able to assemble it, it was with great difficulty due to its instability and then when I started the first drawer I realized my waste of time, bad design, instability to maintain the shape, lack of guide holes, the wood cracked when I placed the screws due to the poor quality of the wood. I am completely disappointed that such a simple piece of furniture presents so many problems in the design of the assembly and the lack of quality of the material and also its instability, the parts do not have an identification number for their assembly. I apologize but it is really the first time that I have a piece of furniture that was not cheap and that is very bad.
1 Star
This product is flimsy & of poor quality & construction. The assembly process is painstaking. It comes with a zillion inadequate screws and dollies and will take you an entire day to assemble just to end up with a flimsy cabinet that I'm afraid to put items in less it completely falls apart. I would have sent it back except to do so will cost me almost half what I paid for it. A complete piece of garbage. Don't waste your money or time.
3 Stars
This is a great organizer and cart. I had to take off 2 stars because this is one of the most difficult things I've had to assemble. The instructions are clear, but who knows why they decided to only drill a few pilot holes. You have to square up 7 drawers and slowly screw them together because they figured self-tapping screws didn't need pilot holes. You really need to assemble this on a work bench or table to keep everything square. Again, nice cart but way, way harder to assemble than necessary.
Limited use
This cabinet looks great and works very well for someone needing to store it in a small space, yet be able to expand when needed. At first I tried to use it for sewing, but found it to not be enough space. I then used it to hold my business items and files, which was great! Until it wasn’t. One day the shelving decided to break on on side, falling down to the next, then causing that one to fall. Bottom line, great unit, but don’t store anything as heavy as a paper ream in the drawers.

This set of drawers with a drop leaf is lovely and just what I wanted in my craft and sewing room. It arrived in just a few days. The box was quite beat up, but all the pieces were in perfect condition and all pieces were accounted for. It was fun to assemble and the instructions were very clear. It took me 2 1/4 hours from start to finish. Everything lined up and it is sturdy. I did add three of the small nails to attach the drawer bottom to the back drawer board, on the bottom drawer to prevent it from catching when I push that drawer in.
SURPRISINGLY easy to put together! The instructions were good. It's solid wood - but not sure what kind of wood - it's quite soft - scratches easily (I'll coat the top with a clear varnish). I subtracted a star because the drawer slides are ANNOYING - when you push the front in, the back pop out. It took a number of Whacks with a rubber mallet to make them stick all the way in, and then the drawers slid easily. The drawer edges are wood, too, but the bottoms are MDF (I put drawer liner paper over them - see photo). the swing-out support for the table top extension also has a caster, which is handy! Overall, very happy with the purchase!
Read This Before Buying
Folks, online this looks like a really well designed cabinet for crafters, artists and the like. In a sense it is. Some of you may be reminded of that Swedish big box store that sells unassembled furniture. Those are luxury items compared to this.
Lacking Pre-Drilled Holes
Holes not pre-drilled! This is making the drawers really difficult to put together with just my screw driver. My wrist hurt. And I hate that the back of the thing is particle board instead of solid wood. I also dislike that the bottom of every drawer is particle board, but that’s not as annoying as the cheap back with the huge sticker on it. I’m probably going to cover the back with something so it’s less ugly. I just thought this would be as easy as most furniture I put together out of the box, but this is a whole other level. I probably won’t be buying other Adeptus products unfortunately.
It fit my needs!
It was packaged really well. In fact, the shipping box had a big tear/cut. The actual pieces on the outside were protected by a heavy duty material like light particle board. While it was cracked, the pieces were fine. My friend didn’t think too difficult to put together. My only complaints are the line up of the white plastic drawer slides and the ease in opening drawers. You can’t see the slides on the left but can on the right. Some of the drawers open easier than others. Overall I’m happy.
Perfect addition to my craft room.
It shipped so fast and I was thrilled. It is solid wood and arrived with no problems. It took my husband and I about 2 hours to assemble. If you follow the instructions you should have no problems. It says not to use a power drill but we did. We were very careful and are experienced at using one. We would just stop short on each screw and then hand tighten. 2 holes needed to be enlarged where the caster tabs hammer in. The tabs would not go in. We just very slightly drilled them out. It was no big deal. They include self tapping screws so no need to pre drill holes. We had no trouble with splitting, but again we were very careful. This is a very nice addition to my craft room and I love it💕
If you are not handy, get help with assembly
I would recommend to another artist friend that is also very handy and has some experience putting together wood projects. DH is a woodworker and has a shop full of tools. In addition to a manual screw driver, you will need a mallet, and carpentry hammer. Other tools that would be very helpful are scissor clamps, drill driver, box cutter and right angle jig. There are some design compromises, like no stops to keep the drawers from falling out when openned full depth. It took a while to get the first drawer assembled. He challenged homself to get faster and cut 90% off the time it took by the last drawer! I am finding this to be an excellent addition to my studio. Lots of flat storage for tools nd supplies! Glad I bought 2.

It's a nice little cart and drawers. It will serve its purpose well over time... but man, they aren't kidding when they say this this thing takes some serious time to put together. I've done plenty of IKEA and the lesser other manufacturers of stuff you have to assemble, so I figured it was just inexperienced people exaggerating. No,they are not. This took me nearly 4.5 hours - had I gone a bit faster I might have shaved off 20 min at most. There are just a lot of tedious steps and plenty of thins you are entirely responsible for fastening on in the perfectly even and level way that you should automatically understand - because not doing your best to make sure all the parts of the drawers get aligned perfectly will lead to uneven, slanted drawers that won't fit right or may not even fit at all. So take your time, scrutinize the tiny little line art diagrams for instructions (2"x 3" is not enough space to adequately convey the steps, locations, and exactly which way this or that part go). You should likely end up with a nice, useful cart for your craft projects or other crafty endeavors - knitting, quilting, carving little figures out of wood, making shiny rubber clothing, drawing, and more.
Great Cabinet
I despise putting things together and usually bribe one of my teenage boys to do it. I couldn't wait to use this however, so I broke it out of the box myself--some of the best directions ever! Not only were the directions clear but the pictures were as well, I actually never got frustrated. This is REAL WOOD! I felt like it was a great value considering it wasn't particle board. All the pieces of wood looked nice and all the parts were there to put it together. I bought to house my Cricut supplies, and I think it's going to work wonderfully. The drop leaf adds room when I need it and folds right back under to make it a space saver. This piece is actually pretty impressive--the drawers are perfect for organizing different materials. Definitely impressed by this company and will consider buying additional pieces from them in the future.
