It is plastic. Not slate.

It feels cheap but if you don't touch it, it looks good. Put it somewhere where the illusion won't be revealed.

These are fantastic. Good size for serving. Very solid, heavier than I expected they would be. And you would never know they weren’t a natural slate, even up close.

The picture of this is misleading I was disappointed. I didn’t realize it only comes with one plate. Not worth the price. Don’t recommend get something better

This item is wonderful! i would highly recommend it! It is light weight but some how still looks very similar to slate. It is not cheaply made in the slightest bit. you will not regret this purchase!

These platters are wonderful. The slate looks realistic other than the sheen. The Melamine plastic is thick and very durable. I was very satisfied with this product i purchased multiple sizes.

We purchased this 13" x 7" faux slate platter to use on a buffet table for catering events. It looks very nice. It is very durable. Easy clean up.

Less expensive than the other faux slate platters, but the quality is the same. I have both in my kitchen and there is no difference. I would buy these platters again.
