“Finally, a Can Opener That Doesn’t Make Me Work Out!”

“This OXO Good Grips Soft-Handled Can Opener is a game-changer! No more wrestling with cans or breaking a sweat just to get dinner sorted. The handle is super comfy, and the turning is smooth as butter. Even those stubborn cans don’t stand a chance against this little beauty. It’s sturdy, feels good in the hand, and does the job without fuss. If you’re sick of fighting with dodgy openers, treat yourself to this one – your hands will thank you. Cheers, Kitchen Warehouse, for making can-opening easy again!”

[Rewarded Review] Poor design change from earlier model

Still a good can opener but the redesign of the wonderful oversized handles is a major disappointment. OXO has made them less chunky and changed the direction of the handle making them less ergonomic. We love OXO products are can’t understand why an excellent design was changed except to save money.

Oh my goodness!

Oh how I have struggled ( for longer than I care to mention) to open cans. I finally gave up on my old can opener when the dog threatened to leave home as I was taking far too long to open his tin of meat. So I finally invested in OXO Good Grips can opener for which, at such a reasonable price , I had with very little expectation. How wrong was I? They open cans like a dream. They have made my life - and the dog's - a million times easier, smoother and quicker. Just wish I had purchased them years ago. Thank you OXO.

At last a can opener I can use

Having damaged a finger on my right hand I found opening cans impossible I tried electric .so called easy openers .very expensive ones and cheap recommended ones. In fact had kitchen drawer full of them. In desperation saw advert for Oxo one. Have not looked back easy to grip comfortable to use would highly recommend

Good value quality can opened

Having used my old can opener for about 15 years I decided to treat myself to a new one. How pleased I was to find this on M&S site, exactly the same as on another well known household site but a cheaper price. This tin opener is a good quality product, good weight but not too heavy with an excellent turning handle and quite chunky handles too with the composition being made of a pleasant soft to touch material. Opening tins is now so easy, I would strongly recommend.

Best Can Opener I've Ever Bought (not mad at my can opener any more)

Until I got this Oxo can opener, the only opener I've not been disappointed in was a P-38 GI can opener I got in a box of C Rations. The P-38 however, is neither convenient nor speedy. Every other can opener pretty much pissed me off for spending money on junk - get half way around the can and it just stops cutting and spins - won't complete the final cut of the lid, etc, etc, etc. This Oxo has a longer turning handle than any I've tried and provides more leverage while turning. I only had one slight hiccup with a really thin can of generic whole corn, but it was really a non-issue. I haven't had it that long so time will tell if it's a "forever" can opener, or not. As of now, it's the best can opener I've ever bought.

Best grip, best weight, best ease of use!

I LOVE this product. OXO is my favorite and remains my top choice for all kitchen products! The design, weight, feel make their products far better than all others that I tried. Now, after getting arthritis in the thumbs about a year ago, I am still enjoying trying new recipes due to the ease of use and comfort that only OXO seems to have mastered!

This is the one you’ve been searching for your who

I’ve been through 4 can openers in the last year. One wore out after about 5 years, the gear teeth completely stripped away. 2 of them were total garbage. I bought this one a couple of months ago and it is the Cadillac, the Stradivarius, the [word Canadian Tire considers profanity] T-34 of can openers. I want to weep every time I use it. The action is so smooth, and it cuts perfectly every time. I initially hesitated because it’s a bit more expensive and I figured can openers were all pretty much the same, but this one is definitely worth the extra bucks.

Minimum effort can opener

Really pleased with this can opener. It's a great improvement on our previous one. It pierces the can easily and turns without much effort at all. The grip is comfortable and good. Excellent value for money altogether.

OXO Can Opener, the best!

This can opener is the best one I have ever used. I have arthritis in my hands and they are sore. I have had such trouble opening cans until now.

Great quality, comfortable and effective

This can opener is really good. It's robust, very comfortable to hold and has smooth movement that requires only minimal effort. You can feel it's high quality. After using several other can openers which don't function easily or correctly, this one is great and works very well. I am very happy with this product and would definitely recommend.

Great can opener that works well.

This can opener is very good. It leaves the can edge smooth, but a sharp edge on the lid. I much prefer it this way round as can dispose of the lid in the can, leaving the whole thing safe to handle. So many openers these days leave a horrible sharp edge around the top of the can. Very easy to use.

Should have gotten a refund, not a second can opener that I didn’t like.

I wasn’t happy with the can opener I piurchased last year and wanted to take advantage of the guarantee and get a refund. I provided a picture and proof of purchase as requested. Then I received another can opener. I wasn’t asked if I wanted one.

Does what it's supposed to do - Best Grip!

Can opening has never been this fun. Both my fur babies will wait for their turn until I finish using the product, wash it and prepare their favorite Spring Water Tuna. Yes, the handles and the knob are extremely soft as the product name says. However, I believe the product is a tad bit on the expensive side. Could be priced at $14.99. Rest assured, you get what you pay for and the product is extremely durable and definitely and valuable addition to the kitchen! No more thudding sound as you try to open the can!

Delighted with my OXO can opener! It's a testament to high quality and functionality. The design is ergonomic, making it a joy to use. The sharp blade effortlessly glides through cans, and the overall construction exudes durability. A wise and satisfying purchase that brings efficiency and reliability to my kitchen. Highly recommended!

The best can opener I’ve used, the handles and spinner are soft and easy to grip. The wheels latch on to the can easily and I have never had the issue of the wheels loosing track and having to restart. It doesn’t take much pressure to turn the spinner. The wheels also come off easily from the rim. The curved lip on the product allows for easy lid lifting once you’re done. The metal is stainless steel so it hasn’t rusted on me!

Poor quality! I would not buy this product.

I'm so disappointed with this product. I've owned other OXO products and I fully expected to be equally impressed. Unfortunately, this product didn't live up to that expectation. I used it a couple of time and worked fine. On the third attempt, nothing! The opener would not hook onto the can and work. Disappointing!

Almost as good as the original

I purchased an Oxo can opener 20+ years ago and loved it. I put it through the dishwasher routinely. It worked great until something happened to the heart and it stopped working.

Well made and works

For over 20 years we have used a Culinare MagiCan but when it finally gave up the ghost, we bought the new and improved model. What a mistake! Its lighter and doesnt work. We looked round and having bought other oxo products, we decided to try this. This is very substantial, it took a bit of trial and error initially but it really works very well on a wide range of tins, even those with a ring pull which is ideal as quite often the ring pulls come off and in the past we have had difficulty in opening them. Oxo do a couple of designs but this is really good c

Does not do the job

I have purchase a significant number of Good Grips utensils, including vegetable peelers which have all worked extremely well and are a significant improvement on 'ordinary' tools. This is a disaster. The turning knob is so huge it is impossible to use easily by anyone with lady-sized hands. Likewise, when the two prongs can finally be closed after substantial effort, they are equally difficult to grip. However, what is most disappointing is that when trying to use it for the first time to open a tin of tuna, when the cutting wheel eventually locked it would not progress around the rim for more than a turn or two before stopping. The only solution was to release it and start again. I ended up prising the lid open to release the contents through a very small aperture and cutting my thumb in the process. I will be replacing it with another one of the previous make which had served me well for over 20 years.
