Purchased to use as laptop stand and it works very well. Quality is very impressive and it opens up alot of space on my desk. Assembly was simple! Slide all the pieces together and finger tighten the screws, then set it on a flat surface and the the included screwdriver to tighten screws the rest of the way. 16in 5lb. laptop fits perfect with a few inches to spare on each side.

I bought 2 monitor stands and had to return both. One side of the stand was bent so you couldn't fit the pieces together. Both stands had exactly the same problem.

This Allsop 30336 Metal Art Monitor Stand is excellent in extra space on my desk. It is the right height for my laptop. It's just the right size for my Dell laptop and even has more space for my office supplies.

it does exactly as intended very well. I run maximum amount of accessories for my desk space so personally I find this riser to be almost perfect. Yes it's very basic and cheap but it's because of the simplistic metal design that makes it great. The slotted metal shelf is perfect for my application to use the riser as a main hub for my Mac Mini AND a 24" curved monitor. I then took advantage of the well ventilated slotted riser and engineered a "hidden" or tucked-away bracket system to house and hold the Mini nice and snug up off the desk surface

After my affectionate cat laid on my keyboard, and cause the display to be completely upside down, I sought out a solution. For my budget it was this Allsop 30336 monitor stand. I am a touch typist, so I don't need to see the keyboard (too much). While it keeps him off the keyboard, when he visits me as I'm using my computer, he is now in front of the monitor! Ha! I guess I'll need to swap my old monitor stand with the new one so I can see over the cat.

This larger riser fits over my bedroom DVD player with monitor on top. Ordered a second riser for another monitor on living room desk. I want two more, one for my living room CD player, and DVD player, to make more space for extra stuff.

Yet another item I used to be able to pick up off-the-shelf, but can't anymore. I've tried other kinds of laptop stands, and they've all been wasted money, because I always come back to this. Fortunately, I was able to get a few to set back for the future. The vendor got them to me quickly and with zero hassles. I definitely recommend this product, and I would definitely buy from this vendor again.

Sturdiest little monitor stand ever. I bought this September 5, 2015 and it has had multiple iMacs/Displays/files/TV/etc. on it during that time. (I also have two of the larger/double Allsop Metal Art Printer Stand with Shelf for Printers, Monitors, Laptops, TV's). I've move office and/or house every few years, it seems. This little workhorse has always shifted with me.... and has also spent extra time knocking around in my storage unit lately - unprotected. With three desks, two standing since 2020, I've been using this small riser off and on since the pandemic depending on the project/work. I came online to check the dimensions before I pulled it out of my porch storage because I want to raise a bamboo desktop drawer unit. (Which, of course, it does beautifully - with room underneath for Letter/A4 size files.) I can't believe how anyone could fault this monitor stand! I wondered whether Allsop had maybe changed the materials or the manner of manufacturing, but it doesn't look like it.... It's virtually the same weight as listed on this site. I'm attaching photos - please know that all the scratches and dirt are mine alone. Also, the photos were taken on top of a shiny curved surface (my chest freezer), so they aren't that great. It looks like there is a dent of some sort on the front left, but that is a reflection. There are no dents after all this time. This Allsop monitor has taken a beating! ....But it's still as functional (and cool-looking) as the day I bought it in 2015. Such a great investment.

I purchased this stand to replace the precariously stacked textbooks that I've been using to elevate my monitor. I chose this product because it's the widest (the short side of the rectangle) stand I could find that is also open below, so that I could easily slide my laptop and keyboard underneath. It's also pretty light, sturdy, and doesn't require any assembly. However, the major problem is that the top surface isn't completely flat. The photo shows how a flat ruler looks lying on top of the stand -- you can see that in the middle, the stand surface is bowed in slightly. The video shows the result: I can wobble my monitor from side to side. All that said, my monitor also isn't at any risk of toppling over when I leave it alone, and the wobbling isn't enough of an issue for me to return the item. Overall this stand does a good job of tidying up my desk, raising my monitor, and freeing up space underneath, so it gets the job done. I wish it were more aesthetically elegant looking, but oh well, it's a monitor stand. But definitely buyer be aware if you need the top surface to be perfectly flat for whatever reason.
