Good value, attractive garden swing

This garden swing is good value for money and was easier to put together than we thought it would be. It is sturdy and comfortable, although we added another padded bench cushion to go underneath the cushion that was included with the swing. It seats 2 people comfortably. The sun canopy is a great bonus and is easy to adjust It has rained a lot since we bought the swing, so we haven't had much use out of it yet. Looking forward to enjoying it when the weather is kind. The swing was delivered in good time, all in good condition.

Piece of junk

This swing is junk. It is probably one of the lowest quality ones in the market. After 2 years of lightly use, the joints of the bars got rusted and finally got fully broken today. Other than that the bars are so flimsy that can easily bend while moving it around in the yard. I wouldn’t pay more than $20 for this.

Perfect for the price.

Easy to build. Seems sturdy enough for the frame size. Sitting 2 people for about 370 pounds and everything seems fine. On the not so bright side, the cushions are paper thin. You will need a new set of cushions to make it comfy. The material for the top is also very cheap and have some small holes in it, straight out of the box. I recommend for the price, but dont expect to get 5 or 6 years out of this swing.

worth the price

The swing is reasonably well-made. The frame feels sturdy, and the cushions are fairly comfortable. with 3 adult persons sitting it does make squeaking noise.

The swing set looks great. The problem i had putting it together was some of the bags containing the bolts didn't have the numbers that were in the instruction booklet telling which ones to use where. Also i had a number of nuts left over after i was done. other then that i was able to get it done. I only had to find one bolt from my stock. SteeleSchilling.

Had to buy it twice…

Not impressed, had to buy the unit twice. The first shipment had a vital part for the canopy missing, plus the colour of the metal pieces was black, instead of green, mis-matching the seat and canopy.

3 person black swing with cushion and canopy

It was fairly easy to put together besides the instructions being somewhat confusing. It is sturdy enough, but you must tighten all the screws AFTER you are sure everything is put together correctly. Careful not to strip the screws. It is good for 2 people or tight fit for 3 small people. 200kg - Didn't have to wait too long for delivery. Fits nicely in my backyard.

Not the sturdiest quality

Nice swing...for as long as it lasted. Swing lasted about 3 months before frame broke. Unable to fix. (Frame rod snapped off in a way that it couldn't be repaired.) Disappointed, because we didn't even get one full season's worth of swinging on the porch swing. :(

It took me a few months to get around to assembling this but it was easy for me (a senior) to put together. I love it and it definitely has my dog's approval too. It's sturdy and stylish and has weathered the heat, wind, and rain so far. I do wish the seat cushion was a bit thicker but it works fine as is. It's a great place for me to relax and watch the nature around me. Definitely recommend this swing. UPDATE: just a few weeks later and the material has faded to grey! This is disappointing.

I'd return it if it weren't for having to disassemble and re-package it. I was very excited to get this swing. I'd had one similar that I loved that burned with my house in the wildfire of New Mexico. This new one is so much smaller and so short in the seat depth that sitting in it hurts the back of my upper legs. I used to be able to stretch out on my other swing for a nap and this one is very narrow and too short to do that. I guess I jumped to conclusions looking at the specifications that this would be the same as my other one and it isn't. It is definitely better suited to humans with very small-statured bodies.

1 year review: Great initial build quality but didn't survive past the 1st Canadian winter. On top of that, customer support is TERRIBLE.

Won't last forever, but you can't beat the price!

It might not last more than a couple of years, but you can't find a swing at better price. I do worry it might break eventually because the metal doesn't seem especially strong. I definitely wouldn't test the 440 lbs weight limit. As someone said, the cushion is thin and the metal bar digs into your legs, but the solution is to simply fold the cushion down in half, so it's doubled where you need it. I also recommend assembling it using regular pliers instead of the little wrench it comes with, as well as a power drill with hex drill bits, if you have it. I put it together in a couple of hours by myself, and it was so much easier once I used my own tools.

While this swing looked attractive, I am extremely disappointed. It sits very low to the ground and is too low to be comfortable! I am only 5'4", so I cannot imagine how uncomfortable taller people will be in it. The seat cushion is so thin that the bar from the frame digs into the back of my thighs. Plus, the seat tilts backward so it is very difficult for anyone older or slightly frail to get out of it. The side bars are not conveniently places, so there isn't anywhere to grab onto to help provide stability for getting out of the seat. My husband already put it together, so all I can hope for is a hurricane to lift it up and take it away. I absolute hate my purchase. It isn't inexpensive either, but I don't have enough money to purchase an extra seat cushion in an attempt to soften the impact from the frame. I imagine this would be okay for small children to use and so it should be advertised that way.

Not worth the money

You get what you pay for. This swing has a very low weight limit and my husband and I don't know how well it will hold up with both of us using it. The pad is only about an inch thick and, because the seal is so narrow, the bar cuts straight into the back of my thighs. We've ordered a 3 in. seat cushion for it but are really considering returning it. It's so small, it's more appropriate as a kids swing. Definitely would go with a better quality swing.

I have wanted a swing for years so I am enjoying it! The only thing I might do is look for more padding for the seat. I can feel the front bar against the back of my legs and it can get a bit uncomfortable after a while. Pretty easy to assemble overall but I used my own socket wrench to tighten everything up. This says weight capacity is 440 pounds but there were 2 of us sitting on it and we are not nearly that much combined but it felt like it was a bit of a strain on it. I would say 350 pounds or more you will notice a difference. It swings perfectly smooth and sets nice and even on our cement patio.

A cute and comfy swing

When I received the large heavy box, I made sure it included all the parts first before I began putting it together. This is a 2-person project. Everything was in the box and we put it together. It took about 2 hours. Attaching the canopy was the final step and unfortunately the fabric canopy was too small to stretch over the 4 sides of the frame for the canopy. :-( I hope the manufacturer can send me a new fabric canopy and I can revise my review to 5 stars. I revised my review to 5 stars as the customer service for Overstock was great and able to get the manufacturer to send me a new canopy and it fits the frame like a glove. :-)

Nice little swing

This is a very nice little swing. It's very sturdy and it was moderately easy to put together with two people. The only thing was it did not come with seat cushions. But no worries, I was able to find some on Overstock. I decided to go with only a bottom bench seat pillow and then two decorative pillows to go on each side. I was very pleased with how it turned out. The teal is a very pretty color and I got patterned seat cushions and pillows and they really contrast against each other very well. Overall I'm very satisfied and only gave it four stars because it didn't come with the seat cushion. I would highly recommend.

Cute little swing.

Considering the price, I was really not expecting much. The parts were well labeled and I loved how the hardware was wrapped and sealed with the label. That said, the directions were a series of diagrams. No words at all. I only had to redo a section 2 times, once because there were poles labeled E and parts labeled E1. I did not realize that they were different sizes or that there were 2 parts with the letter designation of E. It looks nice, not crazy comfy but not horrible either. The frame is shorter than I thought it would be so when you're on it, make sure to bend forward before standing up. The cushion isn't very thick but it is pretty and seemed water proof.I did not put the canopy on it because where I live it, would simply serve as a sail and end up in my neighbor's yard. Now for the comedy portion. It was raining when I decided to put it together so my plan was to do both sides inside, then finish outside when the rain let up. After the E and E1 debacle, I got so fixated on putting it completely together, that I forgot about having to get it outside. I was by myself so thank goodness it's lightweight. I did get it out onto the deck while laughing and hearing Ross yell "pivot!" In my head. However, now I know that I can bring it back inside this winter and my daughter can then use it all year.

Decent for Price

When we first received this order, it came without instructions and a canopy. We sent it back for a replacement and received a response right away and the second one within days - Great customer service! My husband and I put it together in less than an hour- definitely need two people though! We did not realize until everything was tightened that the seat canvas was not centered. so there is a gap at the end which is a little annoying. Please be aware of this and make sure to center before tightening the 'E1' rods. And the leg area is shorter than I thought it would be. But it is a great piece for the price. So far we are enjoying it!
