This edge trim is fairly easy to install. When considering the height, keep in mind that the images provided are somewhat misleading, the teeth are much larger than shown, leaving only about 4". Also I recommend bare steel edging, it will rust and connect with the soil. The painted stuff pushes up during frost/thaw cycles. We also prefer the look of rusted edge over painted, which will look inferior after a few years of peeling off.

The 8" is the way to go! Good product, thick gauge steel.

The product and installation was great. I would have left a 5 star review, but the manufacturer's customer service is not easy to work with. Two packages were missing components and it was a hassle to get the needed parts. The components were missing from the manufacturer, and there was no damage to the packaging.

Deceptive pictures - not what you will receive

Order this product based on the pictures and it looked to be right for my application. What I received instead was a product whose teeth are 3" tall, leaving only 3" of edging above ground.

It seems very sturdy and it was easy to hammer into the ground. I tried wiggling it but it will not budge. I purchased it to hold back gravel in a new garden area. It gives the garden a clean edge look that I like. Bending the metal seems to help its rigidity so I usually try to place the metal in a curved or serpentine shape to give it more strength, especially with gravel or rock. Bending it wasn't too hard. I just placed my foot on where I wanted it bent and then grabbed one end and pulled it

The picture of the product is incorrect.

According to the picture, there are forty 1-inch saw-tooths in the 40 inch section. In fact, there are 14 3-inch saw-tooths over 40 inches. Between the saw-tooths the minimum depth of the edging is 5 inches, not about 7 inches shown in the picture.

Very well made and sturdy. Will def get the job done. My only recommendation would be to include 2-3 more stakes.

The edging was easy to install. It conformed easily to the curves necessary to outline my garden.

The actual height of the edge is much shorter!

Brought the 8" height edge for a retaining wall. The photos do not correctly show the height of the toothed side which mislead you to believe you can get close to 8" tall edge. The actual maximum height is no more than 4.5" due to that the rest part is toothed which has to be buried! Based on that, you are better off to just buy the 4" tall edge that has a flat bottom which is much cheaper.

Delivery was quite earlier than forecast (pleasant surprise) and they are heavy duty steel panels, easy to install with a couple blocks of wood and a hammer.

The edging is great. Easy to install , I let it warm in the sun for better pliability. Be sure to use a rubber mallet with a block of wood when installing .
