Very easy to install on the pop and lock system. Super sturdy and easy to operate one handed if needed. The finish also makes for easy cleaning

Need to be larger

Good idea however they need to make it more wide, I got the ironwood xl I'm smoking big cuts of meat and can't even fit them on the shelf effectively

Works as intended

Good product does what it is intended to do. I doubt any one reads these but Best Buy you’re welcome. You sent me an entire box of four of these things. I brought the three back to the store and they nearly refused to take them haha.

An Extra Hand

I have had my Ironwood 650 for several seasons. I have always wanted a shelf to assist me while cooking. When I saw a shelf was available I made a purchase. It was very easy to install, folds, and sturdy. I have used the grill every day and don’t know how I have gotten by without it.

Very easy to install. Took 5 minutes once we figured out the configuration. Instructions weren’t great (actually they were pretty poor) but luckily not that complicated. Very sturdy. Folds easily. Wish it was a touch deeper though. When lid is down the handle covers half the surface area so it’s tricky to use without potentially bumping stuff off the shelf.

Too narrow

I get it, they made this so that when folded up you can still open the cabinet storage doors. But I would rather have a wider shelf. This is just too narrow, not very useable when the grill lid is closed. It's barely useful when the grill lid is open. Yet, it is still a necessary accessory for your Traeger.

Not Very Useful Shelf for the Ironwood XL

Too narrow and the Ironwood XL handle interferes with this shelf. You can barely use this shelf when the lid is open and definitely cannot rest food on this shelf with the lid closed. Only useful for spoons, cooking utensils, etc. For the Ironwood XL, you will use the side shelf on the left for platters, etc.. Wish I would have passed on this and waited for an improved version (hopefully Traeger is listening...)

Great shelf

Very nice looking and well-made shelf. Just one issue though: I opted to initially install it directly in front of the grill grates, like most of the photos on Traeger's website would suggest. This location works great for times the grill is open, but when the grill cover is closed, the handle of the cover creates an obstruction and significantly reduces the effective useable area of the shelf. If you move the shelf to either side of the handle, the obstruction problem goes away, but the symmetry of the grill's aesthetic is diminished. Nevertheless, I recommend this shelf.

Unfortunately my son didn’t read the whole description of the shelf and it was just too long for his grill. As this was a gift I went on his info had to return it and get the next so down

Xl shelf

I have a great idea.. how about you list the compatible grills on the box for the pop and lock shelf. I buy it in the store and realize as I lm trying to put in on that it won't fit. Then I notice that the traeger website says it is not compatible with the silverton xl model. Very frustrating!!!

We purchased a Silverton XL Traeger grill with the pop ‘n lock feature. I wanted a shelf that fit full width. This shelf is long and just fit onto the pop ‘n lock rail of this model. Well made and easy to install. Instruction are minimal but you can fogure it out.

Love the additional space when I'm cooking. Just like in the kitchen, you can never have enough countertop.

Silverton XLFolding shelf is BAC604 NOT BAC605

Bought the Traeger Silverton XL at Costco. Ordered on line at Traeger’s site, a folding shelf. Searched on Traeger for “Silverton XL folding shelf”, up pops 36 items. I look at the first item, order it as it looks to fit. Get the item BAC605, doesn’t fit so call support and find I need BAC604. Nowhere does their site say BAC604 is needed for the Silverton XL. The agent said I should “have called”. I get to pay return shipping. If Traeger sells their product at Costco then they should support what they sell and clearly show such on their website. Hope this helps others.

Happy with my grill, not happy with the XL shelf

Ok just bought this accessory for my Silverton 810. Unfortunately the rail length on the grill is too short by 2-3 inches. Other options are too smal.

Truly disappointed in the number One pellet grill

I purchased the shelf a few weeks ago after buying the new silverton xl from. COSTCO. I was advised that this was the right shelf for my grill. This shelf does not work with my grill. I returned it and the second P.A.L. shelf was too short. I think COSTCO and Treager could have done a better job. I am a little disappointed. I contacted Treager customer service three times. The last customer service manager was fantastic. However, I was instructed to purchase the XL shelf again and contact Treager. This is my fourth Treager grill. I am going to return the grill and purchase another name brand.

Design is good, quality control poor. Screw threads damaged on left mounting bracket when installed at the factory. Caused by weld slag on the nut inside threads. Had to use tap to clear the threads and replace the screw.

DUH!

Bought this for my 780 Pro. Didn't come with any paperwork. After spending all day trying to figure it out I called support and they informed me it doesn't fit my smoker. I checked your website and nowhere does it mention this fact. Very disappointed. Please revise your website so no one else makes buys this.

It’s a Shelf!

It does it’s job. Holds item to aid you taking things out or in the Traeger and then folds neatly out of the way. Fairly easy to assemble, seeing that my first was did not have all the contents or instructions in the box. Once I made the switch, it was easy peasy

Extremely Convenient

There's really not too much to review, it's a shelf, it's adds to the flexibility of taking things on/off the grill. Pop-and-lock makes it very easy to reposition, so I guess that's an added benefit.
