So happy to have found a product that works so well at fulfilling its purpose. The difference it makes is noticable and very welcome.

Does a better job than other air purifiers 4 times larger. Low maintenance, needs cleaned every other month. Works better at least 6' above the floor..

Broke twice within 1 year.

Bought almost 1 year ago. Within a few months, fan made a loud noise when it ran. They replaced the unit. A few months later, replacement unit shuts off after running just a few seconds. Asked for refund, but they refused. Did not buy from Home Depot.

This is a powerful little unit for it's size - it's only about seven inches square but does a great job of purifiying the air and it's so quiet. After I installed it, it didn't take more than about a half hour to change the air quality. With smoking, the dog and my constant dust problem, it handled it extremely well. When I came home later in the day, you could definitely smell the difference - fresh air - no smoke or doggy smell, not even the smell from the room deodorizers - I have since removed all of them. This unit replaced a tower unit that I had that was on its last legs. With the adjustable fan speeds and purification levels it makes it easy to control the amount of purification that is needed. My only concern is that when it comes time to clean the unit, that I can get all the parts and pieces out of the unit and then back in again. Their pictures in the Owner's Manual look pretty much straight forward but we shall see. In the meantime, it's a great little unit. It's hard to believe that a unit this small does such a great job!

I was skeptical of the pureAir 1500 when I first got it. The size of the unit is 6.63"X6.5"X7". It just did not seem large enough to do the job in our condo which is 1388 sq. feet in size. We placed the unit in the living room, on the bottom shelf of a couch end table, and turned it on. Since we were just beginning with the air purification process, we turned it on high and set it on level 3. During the ionization process, there is a distinctive odor much like the smell of the air after a lightning strike. As the purification process continues, the odor begins to dissipate but, so far, after three days, it is still present. The pureAir 1500 is doing a fantastic job of cleaning the air in the home. With four cleaning processes, the ability to control how much air is moved through the system with three fan speeds, the pureAir 1500 should meet everyone's needs for up to a 1500 square foot home. It is quiet and with the fan on low, you barely even know it is on. The greatest benefit is the clean air. I have had sinus problems all my life and they were mostly allergy problems. Two days after starting the pureAir 1500, my sinuses have cleared as long as I am in the house. I even sleep much better at night. I have had larger air purification systems, but not a better one. I highly recommend the pureAir 1500 with one caveat. You need to be aware that the PCO Cell might need to be replaced yearly and the Purification Plate might need to be replaced every two or three years of constant use. Check the cost of these two parts if you have a concern about the expenses. The mini remote control works perfectly making the placement of the purifier a non-issue.
