What’s up with flat blade screws on back of the receptacle?

Bad design with exposed screws

Bad design with exposed screws and minimal wire contact. I am surprised this outlet is not recalled yet.

Works great. Neutral and ground terminals are fairly obvious

Ease of installation

did the trick for my dryer. perfect match.

Installed this 220 receptacle in my garage for heavy duty powertools etc. The installation was easy/typical - no surprises. Used an old un-needed oven circuit that we re-routed. When the installation was complete, the wood floor contractor plugged into it for use with his large 30 amp floor sander and this receptacal worked perfectly.

This outlet was easy to install and is a better option than replacing the higher prices cord on the dryer. (Turn off the breaker though)
