Fine, but incorrect description

The product itself seems fine so far, but the listing was inaccurate. It is listed as having an included nightlight (unless the listing has been updated), but does not in fact have a nightlight, which was actually one of the features we wanted. However, the deal was good (only after Target price-matched this same product listed elsewhere significantly cheaper), so we kept it.

Quite operation

Have used the cooler for 6 mo with no issues. I feared the compressor would be noisy like they sometimes are in small refrigerators. Only noise is an occasional harmonic vibration that will last a min or two.

Up to now I am satisfied with the product.

Had inicial problem finding the proper bottle in local stores. The manual does not have instructions about the bottle installation and which is the adequate one. I had to write about this and got an excellent respond and explication. Thank You. Up to now I am satisfied with the product.

Misleading Product Information

I'm very disappointed in this purchase. In every picture it shows the water jug. This leads me to believe the jug is included. I did not see anywhere that said the jug was not included. I purchased this as a gift to my kids and granddaughter, who have very bad drinking water. They were excited when it arrived and very disappointed to find there wasn't a jug for the water. You need to make it very clear when the jug is not included.

Water taste like plastic

Very nice looking water dispenser. I've rinsed it per documentation and used at least one 5 gallon bottle. Water still taste like plastic. Will be returning.

Nice water dispenser, but temps are wrong.

The cool/room temperature is actually refrigerated to be colder than the cold setting. This is such a great water dispenser, it's just unfortunate I can't use it to my needs due to the temperatures not being right. Below are the temps I measured.

This is my second unit. A few years back we bought another table top unit. We like this one because of the button placement on top to release water and the fact that you have a dedicated button for room temp water. I would definitely recommend!

Great water heater/cooler for the price.

Easy to set up and use. No chemical or metallic taste. Perfect fit for small apartment kitchen. Very quiet. Have to press ear to unit to hear compressor. Cold water is cold. Researched and read reviews on countertop units. Happy with my choice bought one for my son at college too.

I followed the directions recommending that water be mixed with 1 table spoon of baking soda and then drained in its initial use. The 3 temperature settings are very convenient. Premium Hot/Cold Top Loading Countertop Water Cooler with Child Safety Lock is a great addition to both our kitchen and home office. The foot print is small enough to fit on the counter top and goes well with the other appliances. Easy to set up, easy to follow directions. One thing I really like is the ability to select if you want the hot water or cold water features on or off. So for example in the winter I don't really need chilled water so I can just shut that feature off and there will be not wasted electricity cooling the water I won't use. You may also need to be strategic about where you place this. Obviously you need power but the height of the unit also means a counter top may make it difficult to load new water jugs due to the height and strength needed to hoist one up. But I'll take that added step to get hot/cold water any day!

A water cooler is purchase well worth making, for those who do not have water in their refrigerator door or prefer the benefits of bottled water. The cooler keeps cold water available with just the touch of a button. It also has a button for room temperature water and a button for hot water. This particular cooler is nice that it has separate on off switches because I don't want to use energy to keep hot water. The cooler is compatible with 3 gallon (my choice for easy handling) or 5 gallon bottles. I really like that the cooler does not drip after you pour a glass; however, the drip tray is a nice feature just in case. I have my cooler ontop of a steel shelving stand and it worked out great.

It also has a child safety lock to prevent accidental use of the hot water. I found no problem lifting a water jug up to the counter and the water dispenser was very stable. I also found the units compressor to operate quietly.

Great product to have with a very manageable footprint for those that don't have a lot of space in their kitchen area. Countertop size is a huge plus and with ease of use, the Avalon premium hot/cold top loading water cooler with child safety lock makes it a very practical and attractive appliance. We installed it in our game room (man cave as my hubby refers to it) which helps in reducing traffic to the kitchen area and keeping it a little more uncluttered. Easy install, not overly bulky, keeps water nice and cold and of course dispenses hot water. Love this unit.

This little water cooler is great for us as we are on a well and we have always used bottled water for drinking because you just can't be 100% sure of what the quality of the well water is. Now on a hot day we can get cold, clean water without needing to refrigerate bottles of water. It's a compact unit and it looks great. It is energy star rated and it has a child safety lock to prevent youngsters from getting injured by hot water. You have the choice of hot, room temperature or cold water.

I was in need of a new water cooler for my upstairs kitchen. I choose this one as it has an interesting shape. I also like the stainless steel and black look. It fits in with my kitchen decor. After hooking this water cooler up I tested the hot and water dispensers. I found that the hot water works great and is at a perfect temperaature for me. I also found that the cold water is very cold and that works for me. Everything does work as it says.
