Have some help
Overall a nice bed. But an absolute b**** to put together. I cried like three times from frustration. Definitely have some help lol. But I girl bossed it and it took me about 3 ish hours to do by myself with the occasional help of my 6 year old. My kids love it though and it saves so much space in their room. Doesn’t squeak and is very sturdy. Instructions were pretty clear but I’d say look very closely at the pictures because if the screw holes aren’t facing the right way on one piece you’ll end up having to backtrack which sucked.
Dont wast your money.
This bed is too flimsy and the worst part are the super slim ladder rails. Theyre so slim that my grandkids said it hurts their feet when going up and down. I had to put some cardboard on them to minimize the discomfort on their little feet. I definitely do not recommend this bed. You get what you pay for.
Not true white
I ordered this in white. I was disappointed to see it was more of an off white. Didn’t realize how “off white” it was until it was put together and second “white” bed arrived. It is definitely not white at all… my box said white , this review for my purchase states “off white”. I know have 2 beds that don’t match.
Not as hard to put together as they say
Haven’t used it much yet, but as far as assembly: Tedious, Takes time, but easy to put together. It is helpful to have more than one person at times. I recommend leaving the screws loose as you piece it together and wait till the very end to tighten everything safely. Once tightened, seems sturdy and is perfect for our small guest room.
All Aboard!
All parts were in good condition except a bent rail and a dent in M. That didn't stop me from keeping it. If you followed directions to the T, you will finish in a few hours. I loved the off white and how it compliments the room and other items bought from Walmart. Great bed for guests' sleepover. Toughest assembly but worth it for the price.
wobbly, bent rodded bed frame for full price!
3 rods were bent. nothing is sent with styrofoam anymore. just deflated plastic and cardboard bent in half in hours that it'll keep the items from damage. too bulky to try and bundle it all together and ship back. the hassle of that alone is the reason this will be overlooked. when my youngest crawled on the top bunk it's so incredibly wobbly that her safety is at risk at this rate. not a good product and I'm sure the company knows it. don't buy unless you want to pay full price for something that is low quality from the get go.
Easy assembly! Allow yourself 2 hours to put together. All the parts were there, even with a few extras in case you lose a screw or two. Directions were clear as to assembly. Make sure you pay attention to which direction holes go on frame because we missed one on the center bracket bar on bottom and had to reverse a bar on one side. All together seems sturdy. Package arrived on time and in good shape.
How mentally exhausting this bed is to put together. I felt so defeated that I went to bed with it incomplete. The screws would get stuck while they were being screwed in then it wouldn’t tighten. I had to unscrew a lot of screws. I’d rather pay to have someone with more patience than me put this together. I have a headache. Oh i had the help of 4 big kids. The bed also seems shorter than it looks in the picture. It weighs a ton so returning it will be another headache. Guess I’m stuck with a bunch of headaches. I’m not a happy customer. I’m a very frustrated one. We were able to assemble the two sides...that’s it. Then there’s a pic of all the beams that go across the bed frame where the mattress is supposed to rest. I’m over it.
Quick, Easy Assembly, Sturdy, Quick delivery
Bought for 2 older brothers downsizing and sharing a room during Covid Pandemic. One used to work for IKEA so accustomed to assembly. The 2 of them had it up in less than 1 hour. Said it took 10 minutes to get it out of the packaging it was so tightly wrapped and protected. Walmart said it would take 2 weeks to ship-- they got it in just a few days. Neither are big so the 200lbs limit is perfect and seems very sturdy. They were cramped for room space so didn't attach ladder read reviews on bars hurting barefeet so just climb up the end. Great purchase good quality for the money. They didn't need safety sides for top bunk but left them on because it made the unit more stable. Memory foam mattresses cost $230 each at a local mattress store.
Needs improvement
I’m not impressed with this set. While it is ok, it needs improvement. The special screw heads that are used strip way too easy during assembly. I know they’re made this way so people don’t over tighten them but still, way to easy to strip. The ladder is actually painful for my daughter to climb, being narrow metal tubes for steps. Once at the top, there is no cutout for bunk access, she must step over the rail to get into bed. She’s a little leery of that and the fact that the ladder is straight up with no incline. I’m now looking for a different ladder I can modify to use.
The kids are HAPPY and so am I!!!
This is the second Bunk Bed (first was the twin/full model) I've purchased from Walmart and so far things have worked out GREAT. The boxes both arrived rather quickly and even with a non-standard color on the second purchase the package arrived 4 days earlier then expected in the estimate. Assembly was painless for both but I have decades of experience with Aircraft and SciFi Modeling so this was a breeze in comparison to those projects. For anyone without that kind of experience; get a bit of help; especially for the major sub-assembles . My kids love both beds and the only issue so far is the ladder rungs for my 11 year need a bit of padding. But a quick trip to the local Walmart for some rubber tubular insulation solved that issue. All in all this was a GOOD Purchase and I highly recommend the bed.
