The utility cart has met my expectations and was easy to assemble. The cart could be a little taller, but works great.
Good solid cart. makes jobs easier

[Rewarded Review] this cart that gives us an Advantage while using i
Southwire utility 2 shelf cart is very larger than the other carts that we use. We like Features of this cart that gives us an Advantage while using it. We like the Benefits that aid us in handling our many small totes, buckets and trays of specialty use items that are scattered all over the place. [photos 1 & 2] We have a tray for auto interior cleaning supplies and other totes with a few items needed for other specific application. We also benefited from the over 500 lbs. capacity to carry on the bottom shelf and we moved a 3000-watt generator with small items on the top shelf, such as drills. sander and a multi-tool. Looking at the underside of the cart's shelves we see the diamond pattern of the molded-in support structure and 5-inch casters, [photo 3] that gives this cart the 500 lbs. plus capacity. [Rewarded Review] Durable, holds 500 lbs, and big wheels.
Although utility carts are usually used at businesses I decided to get one for my home. It was very easy to assemble and all you need for tools are a phillips screwdriver, rubber mallet, and 9/16" wrench. I am always working around the house and having to lug around a bunch of stuff. This cart is very durable and made solid. It has built in slots for smaller tools and hardware including a cup holder for your drink. I really like the nice big wheels. They roll easily over bumby grass and smoothly over flat ground. 2 of the wheels are fixed in place and the other 2 swivel making it very easy to maneuver in tight spaces. My shed is set back from my house and when I want to clean my car out front I have to carry everything one by one. All of my car cleaning products, buckets, shop vac, rags, 2 step stool, hoses, pressure washer, etc... I used to have to make 5 trips back and forth to the shed to set up. Now with this cart I can do it all in one trip. The cart can hold up to 500 lbs so it comes in handy when you want to move heavier items around. I used this cart to transport 10 buckets of stone from my yard to my neighbors house. This is a great tool to have. I didn't realize how often I would be using it when I got it but I find new uses for it all the time. When I am not using it to transport tools, equipment, appliances, stones, etc.. I use it as a table and shelf for my table top propane griddle. I put the griddle on the too shelf and the propane on the bottom. When the weather is nice and I'm not cooking on the griddle I use my cart to set up my TV and power supply for watching movies under the gazebo. This is great because when the weather is nice I roll it out by the house. When the weather is bad I can roll it to my gazebo. Weather you need a utility cart for your business or you do alot of work and moving stuff around your home I suggest you give this cart a try.
[Rewarded Review] Sloppy quality, wheel do not lock
I ordered this Small 2 Shelf Utility/Service Cart to use in my garage to move heavy items around without having to lower or lift them from below my midsection and to provide access to needed tools during a project.
[Rewarded Review] Big and sturdy
My husband has a lot of tools, etc., for our house and yard. He has shelving in his shed but needs more storage space. The Large 2 Shelf Utility/Service Cart, Lipped Shelves, 500 Lbs Capacity for Warehouse/Garage/Cleaning/Manufacturing is really big and holds a lot more than we expected. It was easy to put together, although he did it backwards because he doesn't feel the need to read the directions. The cart is really heavy duty. It has two front wheels that turn and stationary back wheels. There is a front handlebar that has storage cutouts and a towel bar. This will make moving things around in his shed easier and get a lot of stuff stored more efficiently.
[Rewarded Review] Stronger then I expected.
After looking at the pieces, I didn't expect the cart to ge as sturdy as it is. But everything is held together by both a press fit and bolts. When you are done putting it together, nothing moves. I loaded it up with tools and material, and it still wheels around fine.
[Rewarded Review] Large, Very Versatile, Strong but Light Weight Work Cart
This is a super strong two shelf utility cart that can be used for hobbies, garage, manufacturing, cleaning and many other uses. It has many features that I like such as non-marking casters, storage compartments in the handles for small items, ball bearing wheels that roll so smoothly and constructed of super tuff/light weight plastic. It is rated to hold an incredible 550 pounds! The size is very large but manageable at 25.5 in. wide, 46.5 in. long and 33.5 in. high. It was very easy to assemble but the directions are not very specific. Despite being made of plastic there is no objectional plastic smell. The only feature that I would like that isn't included would be a simple foot activated wheel lock on at least one wheel. Overall this is a great and inexpensive shop cart that is easy to recommend.
[Rewarded Review] Heavy Duty Cart
The Southwire Small 2 Shelf Utility/Service Cart has two shelves but isn’t small by any means 17x41 inches, rounded up. The shelves are lipped and deep and hold a lot tools and or parts and the handle has a place for small parts and even a cup holder, on your work cart. The Cart has 5 inch castors that roll easily over cords and other small obstacles without hanging up. There is some assembly required and that’s where my only problem with the cart came, I was only able to get one screw in two of the legs on top. It doesn’t concern me that much as the cart is very sturdy but for the money you should be able to get all the fasteners in. I’ve put my cart to use as a tool caddy for working on cars, it keeps tools and such off the fenders.
[Rewarded Review] Large, durable, heavy-duty, multi-purpose utility cart.
This is a big durable heavy duty utility cart. It requires assembly, but the assembly process is fairly simple. The cart comes in two sizes, large and small. I got the large for general workshop uses and it is larger than I anticipated. The assembled cart is 33.5 inches high; 25.5 inches wide; and 46.5 inches long (including the handle section). Each shelf/tray is 2.5 inches deep and 37.5 inches long. The inside shelf/tray dimensions are 24 inches by 36 inches. Each shelf is rated to support 275 pounds with a combined total of 550 pounds. There are two 5 inch swivel wheels/casters and two five inch fixed wheels. This is a big cart and probably suited more for heavy duty commercial work but it is a good piece of equipment if the size works. On a practical note, the placement of the swivel casters was a subjective choice. The assembly manual suggests that the swivel casters be mounted on the rear (handle side). However, I did not like the maneuverability with that location; so I did some research and this issue is debated. The “shopping cart” reasoning (swivel casters on the front) appealed to me; so I moved the swivel casters to the front and put the fixed casters on the back. I found that with the cart of this size the maneuverability was much improved especially for tighter turning.
[Rewarded Review] Very Sturdy and Durable Utility Cart
I perform many automotive and home improvement projects, and decided to obtain the Southwire Small 2-Shelf Utility Service Cart to transport tools and supplies. This cart is very sturdy and durable. It’s made of heavy duty plastic and has a 550 lb. load capacity. The cart comes with 5 inch non-marking caster wheels, and is the perfect size to maneuver in tight spaces. It’s great for use in the garage or for commercial use such as a warehouse or manufacturing facility. I highly recommend this utility car!
[Rewarded Review] Great utility cart!
It is a great utility cart that can hold 250 lbs on each shelf. It has nice easy to hold handles (with 3 compartments to hold a can & other small items) and what feels like a slip resistant texture on the shelves to keep items from slipping around. It has a metal towel bar under the handle compartments. It has two swivel wheels & two fixed wheels all with nice grey rubber tread for non-marring. You do have to put the cart together. The instructions could use better descriptions and better detail in how to put it together. I am a professional & I dry fit the parts out before securing and that is how I found that the legs do not fit the way the instructions say to fit them. There are two legs with the raised letter "R" & two with the letter "L" on the insides of the legs. The instructions say to note this but it doesn't say if that means they go to the right or left or if they go to the rear & the front. But in testing the fit it seems the ONLY way the legs fit (so the screws get secured into the underside of the top shelf corners is to place them "caddy - corner" one R on the rear right and a L on the rear left & on the front (looking back R on right L on left) If this is what is meant by the instructions - it would be very simple to have added that in writing on showed the letters on the exploded diagram ( for the ease of 1st time DYI persons). Also the directions say that the swivel wheels should go in the back & the straight wheels in the front. This works for areas that are unhampered while in close-quarter areas it would be best to reverse their positions for ease of maneuvering. The inside measurements of the shelves are 30" L x 16.5" W x 2.75" deep and the overall length of this small cart is 40" x 31.5 W x approx. 34" high.
[Rewarded Review] Small 2 Shelf Utility/Service Cart, Lipped Shelves, 500 Lbs Capacity for Warehouse/Garage/Cleaning/Manufacturing
Small 2 Shelf Utility/Service Cart, Lipped Shelves, 500 Lbs Capacity for Warehouse/Garage/Cleaning/Manufacturing review: This is a useful little cart with an added touch of a bar under the handle for hanging objects - very useful feature this is. There are three issues I encountered that you should be aware of: 1) One of the legs had the holes drilled in the wrong location - I had to drill two holes to correct the misalignment, 2) The top shelf is attached to the support handles by screws that screw in from the bottom; since you lift the cart from the handle this may eventually cause the top shelf to detach (I plan on inserting some bolts and nuts to rectify this when it happens, 3) Only two of the excellent casters swivel - the other two are fixed. That is not good as it makes it difficult to maneuver the cart in wedding venues which can be tight between tables and chairs. Having said all that, the fact that the casters are big 5inch and high quality casters makes me happy with this cart - I can replace the straight casters with swiveling ones easily and the top can easily be repaired by countersinking bolts if/when this happens. Small and very useful! We plan on using this small cart when we take our flowers to wedding venues. There ya go!
[Rewarded Review] Service Cart
Well, it sounds obvious, but the Large 2 Shelf Utility Service Cart from South Wires is just that, large, as is its work capacity. It comes in a flat box. It assembles easily and the fit, at least in my case, did not require adjustment. Got to admit that it is a bit wider than I expected. The casters are nonmarring and roll easily but are not lockable. Two are steerable. There is a shelf with differing bins on the push side to organize those tools and supplies that are best kept handy, and there is even what appears to be a drink holder. The towel bar seems to be tucked away but is still somewhat convenient to use. The material this cart is made out of will stand up to cleaners, oils, and chemicals so the cart should last for quite some time. For its size, the cart feels light, owing to the material it is made out of. The 500 pound capacity (or is it 550?) seems about right for most needs. Instructions are easy to follow and help you keep things properly aligned. A couple of extra parts are included. The material, lightness, organizing bins, and load capacity make this a good choice amongst the endless array of two shelved service carts currently available.
[Rewarded Review] I Like it, why carry when you can roll?
This is perfect size and just as durable and versatile as the bigger ones.
[Rewarded Review] Utility/Service Cart
This 2-Shelf Utility/Service Cart has a 500-pound capacity. The cart itself is sturdy and functional. I put it together immediately, and it now holds all my tool boxes and household tools. I specifically liked the material it was constructed from; it won’t hurt or scratch anything I put on the cart.
[Rewarded Review] For jobsite, but for home too!
I am enjoying this Southwire Small 2 Shelf Utility/Service cart at home, even though it is more for job sites, warehouse, garage, cleaning/manufacturers. We have a large property and the garage is separate from the house. So using this to carry items from garage to house and vice versa to our walkout basement is very convenient. Since it so sturdy its easy to roll over the stone driveway, grass, down a slight slope to the basement. I also use it to move things around our large basement from one area to another. It can hold up to 500 lbs. I can also use it outside for transporting gardening stuff around my property which has a cement and stone driveway. It was pretty easy to put together if you have some experience. But the instructions were not that good, too small of diagram and nothing written to explain. It has 5 inch castors for easy moving. I wouldn't see a lot of people wanting this for their home unless you have a need for it, its more for job sites. But we are loving it and it's very useful for use.
[Rewarded Review] Is really large!
The Large 2 Shelf Utility/Service Cart, Lipped Shelves, 500 Lbs Capacity for Warehouse/Garage/Cleaning/Manufacturing is a perfect addition for our garage and small business. The assembly was fairly easy, using a rubber mallet socket wrench and Phillips screwdriver. Important to make sure the wheels that swivel are both on the rear. It will be best used to transfer brass and stainless couplings, as well as other waterworks items with its 500 lb. capacity
[Rewarded Review] Very sturdy, perfect size, and great weight capacity!!
I love that it is only 17 3/8 inches wide and this makes it much easier to move the cart through tight spaces. The wheels glide well and moving the cart around is simple. Assembly took about an hour, and it does come with a small bag of spare parts. The hauling weight capacity is 275 pounds on the top shelf and 275 pounds on the bottom shelf for a total of 550 pounds. This gives me comfort that I don’t have to worry that I might be overloading this cart, and its weight capacity should be more than enough for our projects. Just for fun and to test the loading area, I was able to load 5 grocery brown paper bags on the top shelf which has an inner dimension of 30 ¼ inches by 16 ¼ inches. Made in China. We’re very happy with this cart!!
