Seat is pretty solid but the prefabricated pieces are terrib

Absolutely the worst experience in regards to the assembly process. I currently have the set at my local wood working shop to have make modifications to the kit that came with the order. I will be reaching back out to Ashley when this process has hopefully been successfully completed. Again, very disappointing to say the least!!

Perfect for houses with kids

Perfect color and height for our kitchen. Looks like the kids won't be able to destroy these too easily either since they don't swivel (made that mistake) and don't have leather or cloth seats (also mistakes from the past). I plan on buying another set.

Very Happy

The counter stools arrived 4 days before I expected them. Assembly was very easy. They are sturdy and comfortable for a wooden seat although I may not want to sit on them for hours. The stools are very good looking and just what I was searching for.

Something changed since my original purchase!

Great product. Quality built and very comfortable to sit on. Just not happy that the 2 additional stools I decided to add don't match the seat coloring of the original 8 I purchased. Cannot mix them in; they will have to stay at the far end of the island where it won't be noticeable.

In love with these bar stools.

I am in love with these bar stools. They were very easy to put together. They packed them so nicely, not a scratch on anything. They are heavy duty, sturdy, and look amazing. Absolutely LOVE them!

Kitchen island bar stool

Beautiful! Love the quality and it added character in my kitchen island. I do get a lot of compliments and questions where I got it. Item is sturdy and very durable. I ended up getting 4. If you are looking for a bar stool that doesn't have the backrest to take up space, then this stool is the one! Thanks Ashley!

Glasgo counter height bar stools

The seat cracked in the middle after few months of use. The other one is beginning to crack on the side of the seat. I expected better for the price of the bar stools. I love these stools though. Ashley will replace the seat and a technician will call when part is available.I recommend the product.

The perfect stool, great styling, great stability and weight

Great, sturdy ,heavy and well designed under counter stools that do not tip even with my toddler grand children climbing on them! They are a perfect match for our farmhouse/shaker home. I would have rated it a five, except an extra step in assembly was required. The legs were slightly uneven and required standing to stabilize the units. Well worth the effort!

Beautiful, sturdy, but seat color darkens over time

We absolutely love these bar stools â€" but we’re now faced with a challenge. That’s why only 3 stars. We have moved, and need 2 more. But our original pair â€" which we’ve had for a year â€" have darkened. The seats that started medium brown are now dark brown. I can’t imagine that if we’d order, we’d get a pair that matched the originals as they now look. We hadn’t really noticed the darkening, it happened so slowly. Only when I came back to the site did I realize how much the color of the seat had changed. I’m not about to order 4 new stools to ensure a match. If you’re absolutely sure you only need a pair, I would without hesitation give them 5 stars, even though they’ve darkened. They are sturdy, the seat is surprisingly comfortable for being solid wood, and they have stood up to daily use beautifully over the last year.

Nice counter stool

This is a nice looking sturdy stool. It has a nice ample seat that is contoured which make for a more comfortable seat. Love the nice dark color, espresso and I hope it stays that way. Not a bad price for two stools. I had ordered cheaper stools elsewhere and the seat was small hard and flat, which hurt to sit on. These are much better. Yes I would recommend.

Hands down, the BEST stool I have ever sat on!!!!!

Not gonna lie, this girl has junk in her trunk and thighs to boot!! So needless to say, the cute round stools, ones with back support, seat padding and/or pneumatic actuated ones have never been comfortable or supportive. THANKS Ashley, for creating links to view "counter height" style or "bar height" style stools with dimensions. This is AWESOME & helpful, because there are a MULTITUDE of stools to choose from!!Just the look of the Glosco Counter Height Bar Stool is a statement of STURDY... they are as heavy as they look!! I liked the shape of the seat, because (duh) it looked like it would support my entire backside. LOVED the two-tone brown stool as it POPS nicely with my home decor. I needed them to be sturdy, because there's always that one person willing to test them out till it breaks. SERIOUSLY, it was soooo easy to put them together... less than 20-mins for each by myself!! JUST BE SURE, you follow the instructions to add the two horizontal bars BEFORE tightening down the second leg. Originally, I wanted three stools, but glad I purchased two-sets. TRUST ME, they are comfortable!! In case you're wondering, my counter dims are: 34-1/4" H x 87-1/8 L x 11-3/4" D The only downside - I wish Glosco would add either aluminum or plastic covers to the horizontal bars, so the wood doesn't get scratched up. Also, felt pads (!!), so they don't scratch up the floors as guests drag them around.

Perfect counter height stool!

We have had these about a week now and couldn't be happier. We had swivel stools that were driving us crazy before these...Our 6 kids were constantly falling out of them, spinning in circles making screws loose and they were always knocking them over. We bought 6 of the Glosco counter height bar stools to solve that problem. They are so sturdy! We haven't had one child fall off or knock the stool over yet. Best part is they don't spin...yay!!! They are built very well and are absolutely gorgeous. We have already had many compliments on them. You won't be disappointed if you buy them. They are also very easy to put together.
