These hinges are very well made. Very sturdy for their size. You don't need a router or template to install these. I used a 1/2 inch forstner bit.

High quality and a very smooth operation. Perfect for hidden hinges. I used it for a cabinet I built to cover our kitchen hood and my wife wanted a door to have storage above the hood. Mortising the hinges was a challenge. Directions were excellent. The fit needs to be precise, so doing by hand was slow and had some hiccups. Overall they worked great. Just took longer than expected to install them.

Soss Concealed Hinge

I was building a shadow box for belt buckles and wanted to try a concealed hinge. I used a Forster bit to drill the holes and trimmed with a chisel. Overall I liked them and would use them on future projects.

Worked great. Real easy to install without buying the router jig

Hinges for a concealed door.

Used these hinges to create a secret closet. The hinges were installed on a framed mirror with a concealed locking mechanism.

Careful where you use them if you don’t have room for slop.

These actually look cool and I really like the concept. The problem is they have slop in them when in the closed position. Seeing as they are made for inset doors they should not have slop in them they should close and not have play. Considering the price I was extremely disappointed in these. They do have some with a spring mechanism that pulls the hing in when shut but they are only on the bigger hinges and require a great deal of depth for the spring to insert. That’s great for a door in a wall but not for a cabinet humidor.

These hinges are super easy to install, have a nice clean and professional look. Definitely would recommend these hinges for any level of woodworker. I've used these for multiple projects and will use them again.

Great results!

Overall very pleased with this product. I discovered that the maximum board thickness for centering the hinges is approximately 13/16” if you want to open the lid beyond 90 degrees. Otherwise the pieces will bind. The jig must be manually centered for best results. I simply centered a mark on each end of the inside radius on the jig and matched it up to a centered line on the work piece. I suggest practicing several cuts before tackling the actual work piece.

OMG I found them!

I have a 200 yr old house in Maine. We have a full size trap door entrance to the basement where the boiler and house electrics are. The trap door has seen better days and we decided to build a new one.

These worked great for what I needed. I used them to make a folding tabletop.
