On my remodel after 23 years, I used all Kohler product as I did when building the home originally, unfortunately it is my opinion that Kohler is living on their name and quality of the past.

[Rewarded Review] Quiet for a Garbage Disposal

This garbage disposal is to replace an existing lower-powered unit and we couldn't be more pleased. It was nicely packaged so there was no damage in shipping and installed easily. It operates as you would expect from a garbage disposal but it is much quieter than our previous unit. It does its job and does it well. You cannot go wrong with the Kohler brand.

I have never replaced a garbage disposal before. I had a harder time removing the old one than I did installing this one. Instructions were straight forward but I did watch a tutorial online as well. Quick replacement. Maybe 30 minutes or so.

The Reckon Kohler 3/4 HP disposal is a very powerful unit. If you like using your disposal on a daily bases this will not disappoint. It is heavy so to get it installed you may want an assistant for a minute. Once in place it is easy to install. The power is just amazing no matter what food you put in it it. This unit will chop it quickly. I was surprised at the noise level so very quiet. If you have a small apartment, condo or open home you will love being able to talk and use the disposal. You should never have to worry about a jam with this 1725 rpm motor. Excellent grinding blades make short work of any food waste which means less time running the unit. This Kohler was meant to last. Builders put low end disposals in new homes. If you have a choice I would definitely ask for this 3/4 HP Kohler.

I've been looking to replace my aging garbage disposal for a few years now and this Kohler disposal is a huge upgrade! I was surprised at how compact the disposal is compared to the old one that came with my house. It's easily about 1/3 smaller than my old disposal. I like that it frees up extra space under my counter for storage and it feels much less cramped overall. It is MUCH quieter than my old disposal. This is perfect - I used to hold back from running the disposal later in the evening after my children went to bed as I was afraid to wake them. It was annoying to leave food in the disposal over night, but no longer. This disposal runs with a quiet hum without any rattle. I installed this disposal DIY without much trouble. It took me roughly 1 hour from start to finish. Overall, this disposal does everything I need - It's compact, powerful, quiet and easy to install.

This could not have come at a better time for us. Our old disposal was going out and we were in the market for one when this came along. Our old 1/2 HP disposal was the end of its life, it worked fine but was a little loud and had a hard time grinding down some thing. That is no the case with the Reckon by Kohler. This 3/4 HP garbage disposal is so much quieter and a lot more powerful. it is easily able to grind down things old disposal had some trouble with. The unit comes with everything you will need except the power cable, which my husband was able to connect from the old unit and the installation was simple. It took him about 20 minutes to get everything installed and our disposal was up and disposing. its got the looks, the power and yet so much quieter.

Garbage disposal is fifty percent more powerful then our old one and is a lot quieter. It is really nice not worrying I am disturbing neighbors when using it. Install went as expected with no issues. Seems built to last.
