Probably overkill for a single guy living alone. But easy to install, works great. A little tight stuffing food into it, but that also eliminates anything flying back out. Good instructions, follow them carefully. The putty-free seal certainly helped make installation simple.
does not work
Within 5 days of installation with no use except minute scrapings from plate, motor stopped working. Insinkerator had to send someone out to check; motor not working. Waited another week while new unit being sent to repair person before it was installed. Has a 9 year warranty. So, kitchen sink would not drain without plunging each time water used for about 3.5 weeks till new unit installed. Not happy. We shall see how long this one lasts.
Beware. proprietary power supply cord needed.
insinkerator is the number one, longest lasting dispoal. They work great. BUT. My customer bought a PRO750. I was amazed at the stupidity of the new power cord needed. No more removing the cord from the old disposal and using it on the new one. There is a push connector plug that will not accept stranded wire. You have to buy an OEM cord that I just priced at over $50.00. Mine did not come with a cord. I am told that you can order them with the new, proprietary cord. I will tell you that this plug assembly will fail. The amperage going through it is going to overheat the connection points over time, and burn the plastic. If you have to buy one of these, just beware, because I told you so.
[Rewarded Review] Poor resolution by the Best Buy associates
Bought the garbage disposal that said it came with a power cord. But when it finally came in ( took a month by the way) they said they couldn’t find it when I picked it up at the store. They didn’t really offer me a good solution to remedy the situation. They said I would have to do a return and reorder it, which could have taken another month to get. That wasn’t an option as I was in need of a garbage disposal yesterday. So, I had to go and spend even more money to purchase a power cord that should have come with the original purchase.
How easy is it to install product.
I had a Badger 9 3/4 hp. When it died I replaced it with Insinkerator 3/4. Model POWER 900-1.
Well that was easy...
I bought this unit to replace a Insinkerator Model 444 that I installed 23 years ago. It had started to leak from the bottom, so it was time for a replacement and this model has the same exact dimensions and locations for the drain pipes. I reused the old sink drain flange since this model fits it perfectly and after connecting the dishwasher drain and straight pipe to the p-trap; I was off to the races.
Good replacement for old insinkerator
Nice replacement for older 333 insinkerator. Fit easily into old unit space. Had to use old ring as new one did t seem to fit properly. Don’t forget to knock out plug for dishwasher attachment. Disappointed it didn’t come with electrical connection. Had to scavage it off the old one. I think this is a cheap omission and should be included by the supplier or by Canadian Tire.
I love my new InSinkerator Evolution 75HP garbage disposal.
Our old disposal was almost 30 years old and I didn't think it was doing a good job anymore plus it was quite loud. I caught my husband at a weak moment and he agreed that if I wanted a new one we would get one. When I decided on the InSinkerator Evolution 75HP I ordered it from our local Ace Hardware. It came in very quickly and since it was the Christmas holidays I had to wait a month for my husband to install it. The installation was fairly straight forward. Our biggest problem was having to replace a piece of plastic drain pipe because the size difference of the new disposal meant that the existing pipes wouldn't line up properly. But the good side was that I was able to clean out all the drain pipes before we reinstalled them and now everything drains the way it should. The other small problem we had was that the old Kenmore sink flange would not come out easily because my husband had sealed it up so well. We didn't want to destroy the sink trying to remove it, so we left that in and connected the new disposal to that which was no problem since it was exactly the same as the new one other than the name. The new disposal works great and is very quiet. I love it!
Love a quiet disposal that grinds up tough stuff too! Insinkerator offer easy install when you relace them with another Insinkerator. I replaced a 8 year old badger 500 with the compact evolution and all the pipes and fittings mated without plumbing changes.
Very pleased, installation was straightforward
Replaced old Insinkerator with this model and took advantage of quick lock mounting hardware, which allowed me to skip several installation steps. Installation worked great, no leaks. Instructions are easy to follow. The new drain connection required me to redo some of my plumbing, which was not difficult but something you would need to assess on your own because it’s not addressed in the instructions. This disposal is, indeed, super quiet… much quieter than my old Badger 3/4 hp. Overall very happy with it.
Replaces the same ISE Compact model that was 17 years old
This was an easy replacement as the units were exactly the same size and discharge point. The compact model worked well with my deep under rim sink given the height of the existing drain collar. I am a retired home inspector who looked at over 20,000 homes, and stainless steel disposal models are the only way to go. Besides long lasting, this model has the added benefit of being quite to operate.
Simple to replace (13y old Badger 5) and install.
This new InSinkErator Evolution Compact Lift & Latch Quiet Series 3/4 HP installed quickly. It replaced a 13 year old Badger 5 (damaged from ingesting a metal clip). The instructions were easy to understand. Note: when using the hex wrench to engage the new disposer onto the original lift & latch mechanism, the torque started to rotate the latch/drain with the disposer. To keep the latch/drain stationary, I used arc-joint pliers to rotate the disposer relative to the latch/drain.

Very large capacity. Quiet even with lemon rind and a stainless steel sink (we do have some sound absorbing pads on the sink). My only complaint is the removable rubber piece that is to stop items going in the drain that you don’t want is a little challenging to seat properly and with our stainless steel sink we are constantly taking that in and out since there isn’t a lot of water flow due to the sink not having much angle to the drain and a large single sink.
Blast away the waste!
Install went smooth. I was replacing the same make/model, so did not need to change out the mounting hardware. Just installed the plug from the previous one and found a nice video on YouTube to walk me through the rest of the process. Almost forgot to pop out the dishwasher tab, so make sure to do that when you install and that everything is hooked up well. Very quiet and efficient!
In-Sink-Erator Won't Honor Warranty
Purchased 3/4 HP In-Sink-Erator disposal 10-11-20; plumber installed it Spring 21. Always made noise/vibrated. Vibration caused disposal to unlock from sink and leak. 3 times problem repeated. Disposal/plumbing are installed correctly. Noise/vibration increased over time. Plumber: bearing is bad. Called In-Sink-Erator. They refused to honor their warranty. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I've bought several In-Sink-Erator disposals but will NEVER buy their products again. Things change.
Easy replacement for 20+ year old Badger!
When I bought my house several years ago, it had a 1/3 HP ISE Badger installed. That unit worked great for the last 17 years or so, but recently started working intermittently. Sometimes you flip the switch and it work, sometimes it didn't, so it was time for a replacement. I didn't really have any issues with the power of the old unit, but the galvanized steel had become rusted and gross looking over time, and it was quite loud and caused a lot of vibration in use. I chose the Evolution Compact model to fix these issues, since the internals are stainless steel on this model and it's advertised as being much quieter than the standard Badger. I'm happy to say that installation was very easy, even replacing the sink mount. The old one just needed a little persuasion with a hammer to unscrew from the mount... not unexpected for the length of time it was installed. The new mount was easy to install, and the new disposal attached and rotated into position easily. It's heavy, so having some assistance to hold it up while getting the mount lined up would be helpful. I also replaced the cross pipe from the disposal to my drain with the one included, since the old one was a bit gross from years of use. I turned it on and it was immediately much quieter than the old unit with a lot less vibration. Our kitchen is open to the living room, and I think it may have actually become a bit quieter still after a few weeks of use to the point where I can barely tell it's on from across the room. I've been very happy with the product so far and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nicer model than the standard Badger.

We have been very pleased with this purchase so far. My husband put it in with no trouble at all. He didn't even have to make a trip to the store for anything. This unit sits higher than our old Kitchenaid so he adjusted the pipes a little and it was in. I have pull out wire baskets under my sink so I especially like that this unit does not come down as far as my old one. I gained about 4 inches of space. I does a great job of grinding up whatever we have given it and it is so much quieter and with less vibration than our old one. We like the fact that the inside is stainless so it should not rust in time. Home Depot had the best price around, BUT we could not buy this compact model in the store. It had to be ordered online. They were not in stock at first, but the online chat people were really helpful...much more helpful than the people in the store.

This product was purchased after consulting a popular consumer magazine test report. This was not the highest rated model in the report, but it fit my family's needs for price/performance/features. Our previously installed Insinkerator Badger 10 had failed, and was completely unusable. And, it stunk!

I wish I could give this disposal a good recommendation. I've used and installed this brand since 1970, and have always liked them. But I cannot recommend this one. Your sink, by law, must have a 2 inch drain. But, Insinkerator reduces the opening into the disposal to 1/2" with their rubber inlet piece, which guarantees that the sink will backup as you empty pots into it. They claim it's done in order to quiet the disposal. But if you pour a pot of pasta water into your sink, your colander had better sit more than an inch off the bottom of the sink. Because if it doesn't, any crud or germs remaining in the sink will wash the bottom of the pasta.
