Garbage Disposal breaks

I purchased this disposal back in late January of 2024 but probably didn't install it until February. Last week the connection to the dishwasher just broke off and of course I had a flooded area underneath sink. I don't really even use the dishwasher that much so I am very disappointed.

Everything about this disposal was amazing. Except that they don't keep it on any shelves. They have all this shelf space, but only let you order this product to be shipped to you. However installation was super simple. It's super silent, and it's super strong. The ports for the drain are very small so food will go in there for a little while getting very small.

This disposal works great. It is what is required to go with a Kraus sink with a square drain. Although I had to buy 3 disposals before someone at the Kraus factory let me know what I needed. Purchase of the sink does not flag this requirement.

Show case of my new kitchen.

My contractor suggested that I look at Kraus when researching for a farmhouse sink for my remodeled kitchen. I decided on the Workstation Flat Apron Front, single bowl. It's worth every cent I paid. I have no regrets! This is a beautiful and practical sink. It is easy to clean, is a large workable basin, and the drain is off center, allowing for more room under the sink, so much so that I have a pullout drawer for under the sink storage (no plumbing in the way!). My new kitchen is beautiful but the first thing people comment on is the sink! It's really a show stopper.

SURPRISING

I know the disposer is usually hidden, but I still love the appearance. Beyond that, it was fairly easy to install, and the directions were easy to follow. The two suggestions I have is that you specify the different washers used for stainless steel sinks and other thicker sinks, and tell folks to lubricate the seal ring slightly before attaching the disposer. It makes it so much easier to make this final attachment. Upon using the disposer I was surprised by the different sound it made from other disposers and the actual power it displayed. I woulod definitely buy other Kraus products.

Powerful garbage disposal.

We purchased this disposal for our new kraus sink when we remodeled our kitchen. We had heard such great review on Kraus as a company and their products overall so after having a different brand disposal which we had replaced 3 time over the last 8 year (ridiculous!). We decided to try a different brand.

I got this garbage disposal few weeks ago and I am very impressed by it. Although this goes under the sink and inside a cabinet, they designed this product quite sleek. Just the look and feel of the product gives you a sense of sophistication. It also freed up quite a bit of cabinet space compared to my previous unit. I am no longer worried about opening the sink cabinet with guests around :) This machine has super performance as well. It chops/grinds the food very quick and that too without much noise. Installation of the unit was quite easy as well. We had all the plumbing and electric hookups with similar size unit before, so my husband was able to swap this product in couple of hours. The dishwasher waste pipe is attached to it as well. I am very happy with this product. Kraus brand definetly lives upto its name!

[Rewarded Review] Eco friendly garbage disposal

I am very impressed with Kraus garbage disposal. I have always wanted one that was eco friendly and this is it, it is 3/4 HP and is so quite I was amazed. It's fast with continuous feed disposal that shreds large amount of food scraps so you don't have to do it in batches. My favorite part is it's eco friendly and shreds the garbage into small particles that goes down the drain cutting back on plastic garbage use! The motor has an instant shutoff in case there is blockage so you won't ruin it. The installation was fast and easy with instructions. Highly recommend

Garbage Disposal Review

My wife and I had an old sink and an even older garbage disposal unit. I found some Child Tax Credit money laying around the house and decided to blow it on all new Kraus products including their workstation sink, faucet, cutting board, drying mat, sink strainer, and generic retail big-box store plumbing. We lasted 3 days without a garbage disposal before we lost our minds with how much extra trash bags we were using. So a quick google search resulted in locating a matching Kraus garbage unit. Finally my kitchen is outfitted with literally every product Kraus makes. The unit was a breeze to install. Plug and play. It is very quiet compared to our 1997 injunkerator I yeeted into oncoming traffic. Upon seeing the quality of the Kraus one, I have no doubt I could have fed the old garbage disposal into the jaws-of-life Kraus unit and it would have chopped it up without a second thought.

Beautiful but garbage disposal compatibility issue

Beautiful sink. Double check dimensions of your cabinet even for top mount installation. We had to cut into the interior of the cabinet to make it fit. The drain is not compatible with garbage disposal and the only adaptor we could find was square shape (this sink has a circular drain) so I had to return the adaptor. The SS Kraus drain opening is beautiful, but we ended up having to buy a whole new garbage disposal and using the piece that came with that instead. Shame Kraus doesn't make the part you need. Not many people have a $300 sink and no garbage disposal.

Quite an impressive addition to our kitchen!

I have never encountered any Kraus products before this. I did my research online after seeing this item. All reviewers have been satisfied with their sinks so I was confident venturing into the unknown. Opening the box and seeing this gleaming beauty was awe inspiring. It is big! And deep! I had measured numerous times and was pretty sure my drain position would allow a disposer on the sink to fit but looking at it I was getting concerned. It does fit. Barely. In new construction or re builds your drain should be an inch or two lower than normal placement to make it easily fit with a disposer. Without one normal height drains rough in are ok. After a bit of trimming of my granite counter top opening it sat down in the opening and we got to appreciate what we have. The instructions were easy to understand. Mounting the unit in a granite counter top with the normal particle board underlayment is deeper than the specs suggest but with the silicone sealer applied the hold downs clamp it adequately and once cured it is solid. The sink is well made and finished beautifully. It is thick enough and with the sound dampening it is quiet. The rack (tray?) which fits on the bottom for protection is rigid and feels solid. Did I mention it's beautiful? My wife bakes a lot of cookies each Christmas. Cleaning all the cookie sheets has always been a hassle. You can put a full sheet pan in this sink. And what most people use, a half sheet pan, easily fits inside. This will be very helpful when I use the full sheet pans to transfer my meat on to my smoker and want to wash and disinfect them without splatter. I have no complaints and nothing but praise for this sink.

Awesome Purchase!!!

When my wife insisted on remodeling our kitchen, I had no idea what I was doing or what the best options were for the price. Then I found this set and everything changed. ( my wife thought and still thinks that I'm an incredibly smart shopper). When we opened the box, everything was already included and it's extremely well made. The quality of this sink and this faucet for the price is awesome. My wife is extremely happy and I feel like my mission was accomplished. Highly recommend this set to anyone who wants a quick and easy experience with high quality results.
