I love these deck rail planters. Already have had one for several years, wanted more. Wish you carried them in the store. I like to use them under hanging baskets to catch the drips. Very sturdy, have not been knocked off the railing by feral cats, squirrels, or wind. I've used them on both 4" and 6" wide railings. Hold enough soil that they don't dry out too fast.
Looks really good compared to other terracotta colored railing planters, and the holes are easy to drill in.
The Deck Planters are a perfect fit.
The planters fit perfectly on the wooden horizontal rails of my deck.
Perfect for the Deck!
I bought two of each color for Easter baskets for our grown children. They love plants and these will be perfect for their decks! I showed them to a friend and she wants some too!
privacy planters
i absolutely love them! they are light weight, sturdy, and nice looking. instead of really plants i used fake and they came out great.
Railing planters
It was a great price for a 5 pack and they came packaged well. I liked that you got to drill your own drainage holes. They fit securely on my deck rails I only problems I have is when a squirrel tries to burry black walnuts in the pots. They were knocked off, but there was no damage to the pots even after several falls of up to 8 feet. I added a bungee cord to secure them to the rail . Overall, very strong and sturdy, I would highly recommend.
My wife's flowerpots kept blowing off our deck rails. this was the nicest looking alternatives we have found. We have 15 around the deck. they worked great in the last storm. there is an option to screw them down if you feel the need.
Rail Planters
I have a south facing deck and railing that I have always wanted to put rail planters on. I saw the Bloem Deck Rail Planter 12- inch Plastic Planter 2 pack and decided to order it. I cannot wait for them to get here. I ran to Home Depot to get some plants for when they do arrive. The 2 pack is very reasonably priced.
Nice Planters
I have an extensive drip system installed around my AZ home. I had initially thought about putting a bunch of these on some long brick walls that I have, but the notch is 3.5" wide (not 4"). So these are clearly made for a 2x4 or a 2x6 railing (like they say on the label). So instead they will go on my redwood bridge, where they actually look a lot better. So I'll extend my drip system (via a hose T into each pot (will end up with 8) with an adjustable drip head. It's an easy set of additions.
Nice way to plant flowers on your deck!
I’m so glad to have these Bloem railing planters each will fit on a railing that’s 2x4 or 2x6 wide it is an all weather planter and it has spots that you can use a screw driver to use for drainage. They are Terra Cotta in color and very sturdy, not at all flimsy as many of the other store bought ones are. They are Twelve inches around and will hold many smaller plants including strawberries.
