Trendier Minuit Is Beautiful

I am new at buying rugs (have pulled carpet and replaced with hardwood floors in most of house) and am slowly concluding that as nice as the wood looks, rugs are a necessity for safety and very nice for aesthetics. Had purchased a rug that was right for a space in my bedroom, but the room is sufficiently large that I needed something else to not just fill what seemed a vacancy but to prevent my slipping on new wood while in my stocking feet. I am color blind and widowed (no immediate helping eyes!) so I relied on what MY eye perceived to find something that coordinated well with my first purchase. This Trendier Minuit in grey has a lot of subtle colors. The images on the website make it appear more striped than I see it in real life. It matched my other somewhat overstated design rug in most all its shades (at least to me. . . ) My inexperience allows me to comment that the rug seems to present considerably different shades depending on time of day and angle of light, and whether it is sunlight or artificial. Maybe this is not uncommon, but it is a great feature and I like it very much. At least so far I am a little surprised and pleased when I enter the room each time. As to comfort, I am not a fan of wool clothing, but this seems like it would be comfortable to lie down on. Certainly is comfortable to look at. As to quality, again with only rookie experience, it is different than my other rugs (which I assume to be a feature of nicer pieces) because it does not have a backing per say but looks like it was woven on a loom. I smile when I see it and I am certain my wife would (does) like it as well!
