Owner of 3 American Standard toilets that leak.

The seal is leaking worse than the previous one. The only product that works for maybe 10 months is the blue ring. I had to order these from Amazon. I thought the American Standard website would sell the superior product. I was wrong.

i thought it would be the american standard item

not exactly the item i expected, american standard, blue. what came was packaged as american standard but was in a different package than expected, color was red (material different?). i am not sure if it is a counterfeit item. The real american standard item pictured works much better than the "replaces" american standard often sold. I paid a premium for the real american standard product.

Don't waste your time and money on Home Depot's kit, like I did; doesn't come with O-ring. This is cheaper than Amazon's kit with O-ring. Yes, O-ring and must but also, the Am Standard gasket has a more supple feel than the Home Depot gasket. Don't know what made the difference but the HD gasket replacement didn't work well, better but not a fix and the American Standard kit with O ring fixed it completely. You decide which made the difference but for the same or cheaper... don't waste your time and effort on the others! .

didn't work at all. kept leaking and was installed properly. Had to get something else, WHICH WORKED.

Don't buy the red ones.

These red ones are garbage. Leaked immediately. I purchased a blue one on Amazon, purportedly also American Standard brand, and it actually works. Note that even though the Amazon seal description indicates the seal is clear, it actually is translucent blue.

Purchased on 7/8/24… 20 days later i still have not received the seal kit… yet my water continues to run… next step is to replace the toilet with a Kohler. Not being about purchase such an important maintenance item is ridiculous! I even ordered two sets to help offset the expensive shipping charge for such a small item and to have a spare on hand should the need arise since this is not available locally or even on Amazon.

replacement of the seal

I did not use it. when the drop in tablet that was in the tank, dissolved the leaking quit. if the leak comes back i will have the seal to replace the damaged one.

This is the 2nd time that I ordered this product and DID NOT RECEIVE THE RIGHT PRODUCT. I received a 4 INCH RED RUBBER FLUSH VALVE. The description and what I received was WRONG FOR THE 2ND TIME! BOO!

I bought the seal and ring seal to have on hand since I’ve now installed 2 of the Champion 4 toilets in my home. It was the ring seal that was apparently leaking because replacing just the large seal didn’t solve the problem.
