Had an issue with the toilet refilling once a day. I originally thought I would have to replace the entire unit, but found that sometimes just this seal could resolve the issue. After visiting the Kohler site that lists the parts' replacement (https://resources.kohler.com/webassets/kpna/brochures/Toilet_ServiceParts_Brochure_FINAL.pdf) for my Sterling toilet, I found this Kohler seal 1131496 was a match. It literally took under 10 seconds to install.HD delivered within two days, and once the seal settled in after a day, it has worked fine since.

This product came up in a search for replacement seals for an older model Caroma brand dual flush toilet. The part number did not match at all but the product looked like what I needed. I chose it for the price and the fact I knew Home Depot has a fair and easy return policy if the item would not work for me. It shipped very quickly and ended up being exactly what I needed to replace the seal at the bottom of the water outlet valve. My toilet no longer leaks!

Correct replacement for my dual flush valve seal

Bought it not being sure if it's the right match since there was some confusion in the ordering process. It worked perfectly, easy to replace once I watched a YouTube video from a third party. Would be helpful to have some videos made by Kohler on how to do it.

Based on Home Depot/Kohler I ordered part 1131496 gasket for my Kohler dual flush toilet. It is the wrong size, way too small. I found another one on line, but Home Depot doesn't carry it. I believe the part number is 1203764

Did not fit. Disappointing to see two of four seals bubble for no apparent reason and need to be replaced. Watch out if you order these because Kohler and Home Depot sites both listed them in error. I had to return them because they were too small.

After months of listening to the Kohler dual flush toilet in the wife's bathroom cycle--at night when we were trying to go to sleep in particular--I finally consulted the owner's manual to identify the problem. (That was after spending an hour or so cleaning the tank and poking around for an obvious fix.) The manual set me straight, and I went to the Kohler website, found the seal, and ordered it. It arrived promptly within a few days, and following the included instructions installed the new seal in 20 minutes or less. So simple! No more annoying running water noises and saving lots of water in the process. And the original seal lasted 10-years, not bad at all.
