Reviews
I didn t get the color I ordered. This is the second time Groupon didn t give me the item I ordered. I ordered a Danish whisk previously and got the wrong type. This time I ordered a teal Dutch oven but instead got a Tiffany Blue one. That was very frustrating. There was no place to voice this other than the review. The Dutch oven I got if fine. It is of good quality just not what I ordered.
Highly Recommended
This is beautiful. Is cleans up so easy and heats up very evenly like enameled cast iron should. I think the color is a hint more Lavender than pink It actually matches my 5qt enameled cast iron dish from “Our Place.” I think the quality is great and the price is good as well.
Attractive, quality
I am pleased with and a bit surprised with the great quality of this Dutch oven. It’s quite heavy just as I would expect from a more expensive cast iron enameled Dutch oven, and the enamel coating inside is smooth and flawless. The gold handle on the lid is an especially attractive touch and looks great with the pink color. It works very well to cook in, and looks very attractive on a shelf. Fabs of the color pink who love to cook will be very pleased with this.
Definitely deserving more than a 5-star rating
Since this is cast iron, I expected it to be heavy (I'm even adding a silicone sink protector to shield the cast iron when hand washing it). There's nothing worse than damaging a gorgeous piece of cookware during cleaning. But so far, I'm beyond impressed – definitely deserving more than a 5-star rating. It's a quality product, with a beautiful style and color, and it feels like cookware made to last a lifetime.
Exactly what I need
I've used this several times now, and I'm loving it more with each use. Even though I do prep my cooking surfaces, I find this pan incredibly easy to maintain as non-stick, and cleaning it is a breeze. That's definitely a win in my book. Plus, it heats up to pretty high temperatures evenly and consistently, which is exactly what I need.
Awesome
A Dutch oven is a kitchen essential! This coated cast iron pot is my absolute favorite for cooking. It's the perfect size for making stock, soup, sauces, and stew. Plus, it's nonstick and a breeze to clean. Works like a charm on a gas stove and in the oven. And it's so stylish, I love leaving it out on my stovetop. Highly recommend!
Heavyweight champ in a compact form
Smaller, ceramic-coated cast iron with good heft and heat retention. The sides distribute heat well, even on the stovetop - great for searing or sautéing smaller portions with proportionately more cooking surface vs. most other cookware. Along that note, the weight of the lid and the design of the inside cover brings a strong advantage to the simmering stage. On the stovetop, it is possible to do a good simmer with very little water loss. This feature carries over to the oven, keeping the moisture mostly contained, requiring less liquids when not everyone wants a broth. For scale, this is slightly less than half the size of a typical slow cooker. Probably not as useful for making mass quantities of meats, but very nice for making base sauces and broths from scratch. The ceramic coating is easier to get a clean deglaze with less effort, and for some, the scraping could be less grating.
Very easy to clean
Absolutely in love with this pot!! The color is a beautiful cream color. Perfect for all kinds of food from soups to bread. Very easy to clean, it is on the heavier side but only compliments the quality of the product.
Very good quality
Very good quality, The 6 quart is much bigger than I thought it would be. I would have gone for the 5 quart if I had known. I love the color and the gold knob! I haven't tried it out yet, but it looks like good quality, so there shouldn't be any problems. I'll definitely write another review if there is.
Right size
My granddaughter, who is 14 and loves to cook, absolutely adored the Dutch oven. It's very sturdy and just the right size—not too large. She made sourdough bread in it, and it turned out great!
Functional and Beautiful
We love cooking with a Dutch oven. I got this one recently. It is a really pretty color, especially with the Ombre effect. This is a high quality, heavy, cast iron Dutch oven with an enamel exterior and interior. Like our other Dutch oven, it does have some exposed cast iron, and it's important to dry it well after washing it. We always store ours with the lid upside down. Otherwise, it's easy to clean. I love that these can be used on the stovetop and in the oven and the entire thing can be transported to parties, events, etc. We have a glass top stove and haven't had any issues cooking with our Dutch ovens on them. These can get really pricey, and I think this one is very nice and a reasonable price. The food we cooked in this turned out great. This is a nice size to cook a good sized piece of meat, a stew, etc. This would make a nice gift for someone who likes to cook or as a wedding gift. I look at reviews a lot when shopping. I hope this review helps!
Excellent quality
Pros: Excellent quality. Great design. Right size. Cons: None. Other thoughts: Excellent Oven Pot. I was able to cook some nice stew on it and i had a great result. Thinking about getting a second one.
Stylish and functional
I am Southern and love cast iron. This sent traditional cast iron but still works great. It is enamel-coated cast iron so it cannot be seasoned. The lid fits well and has small rubber stoppers with it to that slide on the rim to keep the lid from rattling and chipping the enamel during storage. It can be a bit sticky, I had made pasta in it twice and the noodles have stuck to the bottom even with oiling before cooking as during cooking. It is great for pan frying meats and boiling liquid, just watch your pasta!
Beautiful finish
This is a very nice enameled cast iron pot for the money, the light blue finish is beautiful. The pot itself has a very flat bottom that sits level on my glass top stove, it doesn't rock like many cheap pots and pans do. I've only used it a few times but it has been easy to clean and heat transfer from the stovetop has been great. I'm thinking of buying the matching 5qt fryer from this same seller (they call it a Dutch oven but it's 12" wide and 4" deep so it's a fryer and comes with a cover). I just took a two minute break and bought it, I hope the 5qt fryer is as nice as this 6qt pot it's the same color and has the same color (silver) lid handle so it should be the same.
Absolutely the best addition to my kitchen in the past year
This is a beautiful piece that is also a real work horse in my kitchen. Pros: The heavy enameled cast iron holds heat beautifully, making it an easy choice for stews, soups, and roasts. The enamel is simple to clean! No worries about cleaning and seasoning cast iron correctly. The cloud lid works to self baste what you're cooking; the bumps on the inside of the lid encourage condensation to fall right back down on the food. The color is beautiful! Works as a display piece as much as a cooking tool. Cons: It's HEAVY, which although it's one of the best selling points, is also something to keep in mind. A full pot can be difficult to manage for people with reduced hand and arm strength, especially when it's hot. Overall, it's a wonderful choice for any kitchen and a great budget friendly option.
Color is slightly different.
The color in the photo looks like a soft pink, but in person it’s more of a mauve color. Darker pink with a purple hue. I took off one star for that. Otherwise, this is a nice Dutch oven. It’s heavy, it looks good even though the color is not as pictured, heats evenly and was easy to clean. It’s just as big as my other Dutch oven of a more well known brand name, but it feels like it’ll hold up better than that other one did. So overall I’m pretty pleased with this!
Size works perfectly for our needs
The cast iron enameled Dutch oven pot is a versatile and durable kitchen essential suitable for various cooking tasks. With a 2.8-quart capacity, it's perfect for small batches of stews, soups, casseroles, and more. Since it's just my husband and me, and we're not big eaters, this size works perfectly for our needs.
High quality
The cast iron enameled Dutch oven pot with lid 2.8 qt pan appears to be a reliable and versatile cooking tool. Its durable construction, even heat distribution, and easy-to-clean finish make it a great choice for home cooks looking for a high-quality Dutch oven at an affordable price point.
Super cute
This Dutch oven is not only super cute but also incredibly sturdy. I've used it to make bread one day and chili the next, and it performed flawlessly both times. It's definitely become a favorite piece in my kitchen!
Absolutely beautiful Dutch oven for Ju Ju's kitchen
I've never seen a Dutch oven that looks so beautiful that I wanted to keep it on my stove as art-LOL! I ordered this oven a few weeks ago (delivery was delayed for a while-but that's my moment of venting ha ha). There are several things that I love about this cookware: Let's start with the beautiful color- (1) the paint is artfully applied; it transitions from a darken green to a softer green (but not lime/or a neon color), (2) it's HEAVY- (so when the package comes, use BOTH hands to pick up the package) the heaviness ensures that the heat will be conducted throughout the pot; which is one the perks of using cast iron (my grandmother cooked with cast iron skillets/pots every day on her farm/rural Alabama), (3) the knob is wide enough to ensure that you have a "good grip" on the top when lifting it (the size is perfect for the cookware), (4) its wide enough to easily fit a roast/whole chicken/turkey wings, soups/chicken n dumplings (for a family of two **maybe four if serving single servings***), (5) cast iron holds heat evenly, which easily makes a gravy/"roux" for meats, (6) the handles are wide enough to carry it with a dish towel (when hot). My grandmother would be truly impressed with this Dutch Oven! (all of her cast iron skillets/pots were matte black) This has been one of the best offers that I have accepted! This is the perfect gift for: new homeowners/renters, bridal gifts/wedding, 1st time movers, redecorating kitchen cookware/pantry.
