These glass bowls are the perfect serving size for quickly storing any leftovers in the refrigerator or freezer. I don't think you have to, but I like to pull the plastic lids off before heating and the lids will almost last forever if you don't overheat them. I put a saucer on top to keep spatter in and I put another small plate under the bowl before I reheat them in the microwave so you can quickly grab the plate and not burn your fingers on the bowl. Super quick and easy for a hurried meal at home or for lunchtime at work.
